Tracks like Dijon and Interlagos are great proof how you don’t need a massive, fancy track for great racing. Just a circuit conducive to great racing and passing. In fact massive tracks, tend to produce more field spread.

Those Renaults had enormous power, but those early turbo engines were sooo fragile. If F1 had been determined solely by pole laps, Renault would have won about 6-7 more championships more championships during the 70s/80s. Gilles was insane on the brakes at T1.
