    You explanation is fast. There is a difference between the level of your skill and the learner's skill. Most of the time you assume everything is explained.

    if you have 2 domains and set-up 2 DKIM's how does SF know which one to route it through on creating the email in SF from say a contact

    • @akshaydeshmukh3962
      @akshaydeshmukh3962 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It will map to the domain you used for sending that email.. when an email is sent from SF, you have to select ‘From Email’. that selection will decide on domain to route through

    I'm still getting the same spam warning in my inbox. Steps I followed: 1. Create a DKIM 2. Update the CNAME and Alt CNAME in DNS server 3. Activate the DKIM key. Please let me know if I missed anything Note - Organization-Wide Addresses is also added

    My question is, when we generate and update DKIM Key, after that, for inbox deliverability, is the reputation of Salesforce IPs used, or is it based on the reputation of the domain and sender ID? After adding DKIM, does the impact of email sending activity come on the domain and sender ID reputation, or does it affect Salesforce IPs? In my opinion, getting DKIM approved and sending emails does make a difference to our domain and sender ID reputation. If you have clarity on this matter, please let me know.

      sorry, no idea about if it affects reputation on Salesforce/domain side. I don’t have any knowledge and experience about reputation of the domain.

    For the key that gets entered into the "Points to", do you include the period? I'll assume no since you didn't use it but I feel like it's strange that it gets generated with it.

    Hello. I am trying to set this up for a non-profit and I keep getting the bounced sign next to the outgoing email on the contact when trying to send an email. Thoughts on why?

    • @salesforcestepbystep3502
      @salesforcestepbystep3502 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. 1. Have you setup any DKIM keys in org? Generally, DKIM is enabled but if keys are not setup in DNS then emails are bounced. Also, 2. check if senders domain is configured properly in Email Relay settings. For testing, I would suggest to use ‘*’ instead of a particular domain. 3. Download and check email logs when you send an email. Logs should give you exact error details of failure. Let me know if I can help further if it doesn’t resolve. Thanks.

Also when setting up the relay in Gmail there were several checkboxes that were not discussed in your wonderful tutorial and you had already set yours up. Can you elaborate on which should be checked?

    Hi..Easy and informative video, I have one question, like Google, are there any specific setting needs to be changed in Outlook for Email Relay? Thanks.

    • @salesforcestepbystep3502
      @salesforcestepbystep3502 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. Yes, Outlook for Email Relay is a bit complicated. It is similar process but Outlook (Exchange) requires you to setup Mail Flow connector. Depending on how complicated and governed exchange configuration is, it could be challenging. MS Exchange is also a shared tenant and thus requires this configuration. Hope this answers your question.

      Thanks for the question l. Yes it should be possible to setup forwarding rule in SMTP. You can also add BCC to google admin for all emails in Salesforce itself.( suggest to check privacy policy though).

    Hi great tutorial! I have question, does using email Relay help how emails are being handled using Pardot? I have a verified domain in pardot but my emails are going to spam. Thanks

    • @salesforcestepbystep3502
      @salesforcestepbystep3502 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and comment. I don’t have any experience of working on Pardot. But if you just want to stop emails going to spam then creating DKIM entry in Pardot and then adding that entry as a CNAME into your DNS setting will do the job. Pardot should have something similar config in setup. Let me find and get back to you.
