[TF2] The Syringe Gun Solutions
It was (unsurprisingly) hard to get good clips of any of the syringe guns in action, so I hope you don't mind that what I'm saying doesn't always match up with the footage in the background.

    1:44 | *Thanks for mentioning this,but it's more than that.* Specifically it's a clips-vs-magazines confusion, but TF2 players just refer to _any_ weapon's capacity as a "clip", and it's just as annoying to hear as it is when you guys are told that's wrong. Sometimes I wonder if TF2 TH-camrs are trying to say "clip" as many times as possible at once. It's obnoxious. But using either term isn't that straightforward. Specifically, _double-barrel_ shotguns obviously don't have either, opposed to a pump-shotgun. It's literally just two barrels stuck together back when we didn't know how else to have another shot during the era of muskets. But we don't have to get into the specifics of gun terminology in a videogame with such a goofy arsenal as TF2. What _can_ be done is for people to stop the incessant use of the word "clip", which repetition is what makes it so annoying, hell the term "clip size" really irks me itself. To both cover all weapons without getting into the small details, the term "capacity" would work great. But because Valve decided to use incorrect terminology, it'll continue to be this way, and politicians will continue to use this same false terminology because of it 🤦

    calling this the worst rl is insane when the liberty launcher exists. I've grinded one almost to hale's own and I can tell you the reason it's the worst is because it does literally nothing well. you always take at least 1-2 extra rockets to kill something compared to stock, meaning you run out of reserve ammo way faster. the bonuses to rocket jumping is done better by the air strike, especially since air strike rockets don't travel faster so you can do sync bombs and sync jumps so you can situationally do more damage than stock with bombs cow mangler is just stock with infinite ammo and the ability to apply a remote sapper to a gun at the cost of not being able to damage them. it's a sidegrade to stock

    even if the hype mechanic wasnt on this gun it would still rival the scattergun for 1v1s, with the hype it just makes the gun straight up unfair. biggest problem with it is that it has a pretty high minimum skill requirement to actually start beating out the scattergun since you get punished for missing hard, 4 missed scattergun shots still leaves you able to 2 shot most classes but with the soda popper each clip wasted leaves you with a lot of downtime

    Make all syringe guns heal players, make them all reload passively and make it so that the syringes don’t arch as much and are faster. That way it will at least be some what fun

      @@nicolasdesenvolvedor1642 for the long range, you do 6 damage from there and you can just press W to go forward, flank and 2 pop most classes with the scatter guns. The killing light classes thing is also flawed. You cant do much damage to a scout and he can just hide behind cover and more easily run away or flank you, you CAN destroy engineers buildings much easier and kill him a bit faster too but you should just kill someone else as your team should be able to deal with the nest, snipers can already be easily killed and for spys its basically the same.

    If you ignore the defining feature of the weapon (the right click charge shot), it can seem pretty redundant, but the charge shot is huge for pressuring choke points and charging buff. You gotta play for angles that let you get charge shots off in high-traffic chokepoints or sniper spots. Even if you do not get a kill you can pressure people out of the fight before it even starts. If you charge a backup and communicate to your team that you are mangling the sentry (assuming you wait for them) you can easily destroy a nest and all the people standing around it. I would argue that the Cow Mangler 5000 is one of the more interesting rocket launchers in the game because of the unique charge shot, behind only maybe the beggars and air strike.

    Well I will admit that these will indeed be viable Sidegrades to the Crusaders crossbow. The problem is that any seasoned Medic main will abuse these Buffs to no end. But I mean... that is kinda self-explanatory since you made the Crusader the Bar to clear. And yes the Blutsauger is overpowered. Why? Because you compared it to medic's 2nd Overpowered Weapon that he can never unequip, the Ubersaw. I know it's not popular but objectively the Crusader needs to be nerfed. It is the sole reason why currently the Quickfix is considered the worst medigun. It just heals waaay to much. People always excuse it with giving the medic something fun to do while it also locks out the medic from using other weapons to switch up his gameplay because it would actively hurt his team. But then they say it's okay but it does not actively ruin the fun of other players. But here is the thing. It does, you just don't notice it. It makes every chokepoint 2 times worse. The Crossbow is the reason why neither team can advance without a Ubercharge push. Sentry's are a big reason for this too which also needs to be somewhat addressed but the Crossbow makes it all worse. Sentry's can only hold a line when there is a team backing them up. Try to stop the entire enemy team at a choke point with a lone level 3. It does not work. So what you have to do is you pick off the enemys one by one until you can finally focus fire the sentry. But you know what makes that hard to achieve? The Crusaders Crossbow. It undoes any damage you have done to a enemy every 1,6 seconds. And no the fact that you have to Aim does not balance it. Because the Crossbow is easy to use and teammates will stand still for you. Equipping the Crusaders means you have the healing output of 2,5 medics without the crossbow. That is downright insane. That is also why so many times it is not enough to destroy the sentry's with a Uberpush because the enemy team can hold the line away, long enough for the engi to rebuild. You only start pushing through when you decimate the entire enemy team OR manage to kill all medics along with the sentry. So yes as a seasoned Medic I stand by that the Crossbow needs to be nerfed. Cutting it's healing from 75-150 down to 25-100 is all that is needed in order to give Syringe Guns more time to shine without buffing them to ridiculous levels.

    Engie mains winning by the amount of people thinking they can kill us easily or their team will attempt to coordinate in casual lol Unless it's a stomp, I have never really been in a situation in which i was like "darn, that cow mangler soldier really messed me up"

    I personally found that the soda popper is more effective than stock when you get the jump on your enemy but is outclassed if they know you're there, as the faster firing speed allows you to get the kill in a suprise attack much easier but you need those 4 extra shots a lot if they figured out you're there. As a result it has a even more flank-heavy playstyle than the stock. Alongside this i found the bonk to be actually a pretty decent secondary for it because if you get caught out without full hype like you will likely be after a med pick or something you can use the bonk to leave, either to your resupply locker or to the enemy backlines.

    3:00 You're using the term "slug" incorrectly here. Scout loads shotgun shells into his weapon, with the aforementioned "slugs" being a type of shell. Within said shells are several pellets, which is the case with all of Scout's primary weapons, but a slug is a type of shell that contains a single large projectile often used for targets of greater dimensions.

    Soda popper is good for strafing and jumping into sniper ledged to deal with snipers. Aside from that 1 v 1 better stick with stock or any other 4 slug (minimum) scattergun.

    The thing is with sidegrades or unlocks are senergy A big thing with most weapons and why stock, even melee and stock syringe gun for medic, are the best for any situation and being the main strong suit for characters. Though medic is a 50/50 syringe gun stock will be better than say overdose utility wise if you run say the stock or vaccinator mediguns. Not only that but map and objectives really do determine how well a weapon or even class will do especially the changes from say ctf and control point to attack/defend or payload On scout Stock= 6 shots no downsides decent ammo pool rewards point blank 2-3 meatshot most enemies and have 3 left over incase another enemy pops the corner. Best 1 v however many enemies they got incase you need to defend or retreat. Decent chip damage as well. Syenergizes really well with any secondary and melee; VERY IMPORTANT!!! FaN= 2 shots decent damage but the knockback can easily move enemies into hazards or out of position while also giving wiggle room to gain a little more air time on the 2nd double jump. However lower damage and reload downtime make it less reliable if a 2nd enemy shows up or in 2 v 1. Syenergizes well with everything but loses in crit a cola for less dps from only 2 shots vs 6. Somewhat with wrap assassin if you need to finish off switch to it or if not a pistol as enemies will be hurled far. Soda popper = good for flanking on ledges or higher areas and strafing. Suffers like the FaN cept reloading. Atomizer also suffers once the hype is activated. Loses a bit against knockback especially sentries. Shortstop= good at distance and combo weapons. Bad at point blank. Cannot do more than a 1 v 1 due to lower damage and clip size. Not good with bonk cleaver or soda popper since you can take out a sentry from a distance and lose pistol combo power. BFB = good for flanking backlining and works really well with bonk. Crit a cola not so much. Atomizer is polar opp since no double jump now triple jump for sure depletes your speed meter. Better with cleaver or bonk and wrap. Good for 1 v 1 at most 1 v 2 but 4 shots really limit you. Same with damage 1 peck from a bullet or flame particle and its over. Best for intel objectives, hit n run, or enemy back lines playstyles Backscatter = bonk is a must as well as atomizer. Crit a cola = why? Flanking is a must and once discovered the enemy facing any direction except away from you will make the gun obsolete. Hence soda popper is okay but give the niche situations and if a map is CQC cramped like turbine or goldrush / hoodoo to mame a few then the soda popper losses utility while other guns especially stock shine better. In tight areas bonk + bfb actually do wayyyy better as soldiers demos and jetpack pyros have a harder time catching up to you if they cannot become airborne.

      To add The soda popper makes it harder to hit the scout but also scout is harder landing shots mid air while strafing. Id say bfb and FaN do what scout does better at hit and runs. Most scouts rarely double jump because they know the second they go airborne its over. They cant use the double jump to get out of situations hence they rarely practice it

    No, it definitely isn’t. It is the second most used primary. I would say the baby face blaster is the most underused primary. Even the backscatter is used more.

    Soda popper is really average, in no way because it can shoot faster and reload faster its better than force-a-nature and default scattergun, maybe better than force-a-nature, even though not for me, scattergun will always be more reliable and more stable than soda popper

    Even without hype it’s better, I don’t use it for hype, the hype is okay but it’s not even the reason soda popper is good, it’s just a bonus

    I wish we could give jester awards like on steam The cowmangler is one of THE BEST: -Infinte ammo means you'll never run out and spam shots until you die. Going from stock beggars direct hit etc the CM means you'll always be with ammo even if behind enemy lines or cornered. -charged shots can easily fill up banners especially the batallion's. If you want the enemy to take both extra damage and deal less use both. -sentry down for 4 seconds is good when the enemy engineer wrangles their sentry. They also cannot repair nor move the sentry nor buildings. As an engy maib i can tell you it is down right worse than an uber push. 4 - 5 rockets wont take out a wrangled sentry but 1 charged shot means the engy cannot outlast the uber. -the rockets aren't visible meaning pyros have a harder time airblasting it back -the charged shot in a group is soldier's jarate for a group of enemies -spam in a chokepoint? YoU mEaN lIkE tHe MeTa?!? -loudness double edged sword. Strike fears into your enemies when they see a mini crit setting on fire splash charged shot slowly going into a group or 1 person. God forbid a PYRO sees them and uses any of the flare guns (cept mannmelter unless stored crit) to keep the pressure on. It used to be paired with the bison really really well You'd set enemies on fire then finish em off with the penetrating shots. Now its more a meme lol. I will say the affect other buildings would be nice Spy cloak before and after meaning they can't DR as long Medic gun healing a bit slower Even other cowmanglers would be nice but for that they'd need to inc. Down time to at least 7 seconds for enemy tech. One thing that screws this over for other buildings is the time and spy's sapper because source spaghetti load bearing coconut.jpeg code same with the RTR. If it would disable sentries or buildings and keep the sappers from taking damage this would defintely be more useful vs buildings. Other than that just use the direct hit or use demo/heavy/pyro instead.

      It is a perfect sidegrade for support. Soldiers are supposed to be in the air or frontlines. Building up banner meters from a distance while still supporting on sentries and pushes just to push with a banner maybe medic push makes it a perfect team based RL. Take the L The cowmangler means you cannot go on a spree unless you assist / play area denial for a bit to build up banner meters.

    I normally don't use it because i don't normally play scout and when i do and decide use this weapon, i normally die before i even fill up the hype meter(I'm not too good at TF2 but i really enjoy it and have 200 hours in there

    literally the only thing you need to do to make the cowmangler a god tier weapon is forget about the charged shot who tf even cares about engineers and random crits
