Ciao Giancarlo, le scale dipendono dal tipo di accordo, che dipende dalla melodia del brano, quindi dalla melodia decidiamo le alterazioni degli accordi e da li usiamo le scale corrispondenti. In generale su un II- useremo una dorica, su un III- useremo la frigia ecc. le maggiori variabili le troviamo sugli accordi di settima, tenendo presente che la scala contiene l'accordo, su un accordo di 7 con 9 e 13 possiamo usare una misolidia, su un b9/13 una dim semitono tono e su un b9/b13 una superlocria. Alla fine comunque comanda sempre l'orecchio, mai dimenticarsene!

Ciao Giancarlo, nell'ultimo esempio nei due semidiminuiti uso la scala Locria, quindi su D semidim note della scala di Eb maggiore e su G semidim note della scala di Ab maggiore. Per il Bb sul F- hai senz'altro ragione! è un refuso! Grazie di averlo segnalato! Scala di F minore melodica ascendente.

Hi Thomas, my approach is basically based on listen, so I don't think so much about scales when I play, I just try to create a nice melody and than, of course i can figure out what I used (if I have to teach someone for example). And you can do the opposite process, starting with the scale and create a nice melody with those notes, so at the end you can use a lot of things, the important is to find something that matches with your conception! I find very useful to think all of this as a process, so for me works better to think " I'm going to improvise on that tune 10 min a day for 15 days", ( after that I'll be better on that for sure!) insted thinking "I'm going to learn to improvise on this tune!". So you won't know which result you will obtain and when, but you will improve for sure in the direction of you taste and conception!

You're right, it's very difficult to create a simple and effective melody, the only thing we can do to get better is to listen and listen again and again to the masters!
