You are the Craziest Coolest Man on earth with the BIRD!🛩️
When I was a kid a guy up the street from me was a pro stock drag racer and he had a Petty Blue Superbird. Once in a while he would drive it around the neighborhood and and you could hear it coming a mile away.
12 times uggg😂🎉
Your last line about sitting in these cars and enjoying them hit home. If kids come by and I have a car somewhere, I always let them climb in, sit in the seat, dream about what that is like, and let parents take pictures. These are the future hobbyists and we need to let them enjoy the cars, too. let them know they aren't some rare item that can't be touched, but something that stirs your soul in how they feel and ride. Long ago at a swap meet with the race car, a dad came by with two little kids. He asked if he could step back with them to get a picture by the car. I opened the door and let them in, so they could have a picture "driving" it. You would have thought I was Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny all wrapped in one. It costs nothing, and really, they are just cars. Kids aren't going to hurt them.
Around Nov. 1971, my Dad went to the local Chrysler Plymouth dealer who also ran an RV dealership to get a new camp stove. He got talked into trading the old camper in on a new Wheel Camper instead, and while in the back I saw a new purple Superbird with the sticker still on the window. They had it left over and couldn't sell it. The salesman said he could beat that price on the window by a lot if I was interested. I was, but I couldn't afford it if he divided the price by ten. Of course, my Dad asked who would want a purple car, especially with that silly wing. So it is interesting to see that officially, there were no purple Superbirds. It was definitely new, a left-over, and I really doubt the dealer would have painted. Any idea on a purple Superbird?
This is what I miss about the late '60s though the mid '70s. Almost no one cared, and as such, real cars/fake cars, it didn't matter. And no one was paying astronomical prices that got hurt by fakes. If you wanted an L88 Corvette, you built one. A $1500 to $2000 old Corvette, preferably with a dead motor, a $500 OTC L88, and you had what you wanted. Today, almost any neat car is going to run you $100,000 or much more, and if you find it is a fake, you lose your shirt on it.
I'm sorry but every time I see a yellow Dayton I think of Joe Dirt. Curse you David Spade. Lol
They are the same car and same frame just different is the name of the vehicle modification with engine taillights headlights and other components included the tail
The ugliest, most ridiculous cars of the muscle car era
Both garbage chrysler build quality
Thanks for the show!! So cool that you drive them!!
The Air Grabber hood was available on a 1970 Road Runner, had one. He may cut one up, but he didn't design or make one.
The Superbird name sounds cooler to say but looks wise id take the charger all day long over the Plymouth.

YOU ARE NOT THE SECOND OWNER, BUT THIRD, I OWNED THIS EXACT CAR BEFORE THE FIRST OWNER.
Car is sick man, my dream car!
i could listen to him talk about daytonas and superbirds for hours
Mr. Jennings, do you restore these and sell them? or keep them for yourself?
It sure is nice.. but at the end of the day.. not original . With the paint and the mods.. but.. very nice
Thanks for solving the question of what to do with my lottery money.
As collectable as these cars are, I could never buy one because they look like abominations to me...
You brought that car up to Franklin, Indiana last summer, I think? We saw it, and chased you down to figure out where you parked... You let my daughter sit in it while you started it up... It was kindof funny, because you thought she might be scared.... Little did you know she rode over there in my 71 Olds Vista Cruiser with a big block, headers and Flowmasters. Was just about as loud as your Superbird... I love your car, and am so glad you're preserving it the way it is... Too many concours restorations out there already.
I know where one is I think it’s a Daytona I have pic… can someone tell me if it’s real??
Who cares what the differences are? They are literally two of the ugliest most stupid looking automobiles on the planet.
Front Wheel well vents??? He spends five minutes on horns and safety latch, but skips the fender vents completely.
See you at Carlisle in a few weeks!
I wonder what the Black Ice runs
The purple one with slicks grabs and goes, but Black ice 4-speed won't grab hold without slicks, although the engine in black ice is really hot.
You gotta love those cars. I agree you got to have the roar of the engines.
That sound makes it!
Hey Bob I think you had her! I think she relighted!😅 I’m sure she appreciates any donation. You’re a gentleman and an asset to this hobby.
Thanks, but just got me! By a mile

Great video. Thanks!!
See you've been to canada do you know Ray dupius from Orleans/ ottawa Ontario?
You may already be aware, but they do makes light bulbs that do not give of UV rays to protect paint.
I love a 69 Charger in any form.
Thanks,...I am Partial to, "Black Ice,"...clearly, it's the best looking Car!
The Greatest collection on the planet.
Come on you need to show burn out!
It's coming soon, mixing drone and multiple cameras
I can’t wait to see the mixed video.
Its funny to see you struggle working on these Chrysler products. You actually have a lot of knowledge about these cars and it still takes a while to get them running. My Dad had a 76 Chrysler 300 white with black interior. He owned a 78 300 Burnt orange with white interior. Both cars were a mess. Always working om them. Never bought another Chrysler product ever. Chryslers always had unusual engine parts and designs. It was impossible for a regular guy to work on. They never started when it was below 20 degrees.
Noooo I got to see that
I have the 1/18 scale version of the purple Superbird in my diecast collection of Superbirds & Daytona's
I was there to see the race car go down the track in Edmonton. It was a pleasure having you at Western Mopar Madness Bob. I’m sad that I won’t be around when you come this year.
69 Hemi Daytona Charger…the holy grail to me
Love to see videos from you, thank you
Beautiful cars and a fantastic video!
We were there at MCACN last fall and saw your Tor Red Super Bird get vintage certified. As a matter of fact, I got a picture of it! Anyway, thanks for sharing your wing cars.
Be good to see round them, under the bonnet and the interior.
Did Melissa start the dragster?
I think so boss
I've always been a huge fan of Petty Blue. Always will be.
