Foarte selectiv din ce se aude. Excelent! Ce rol are potentiometrul R1 de 1M din basa lui Q1, de rf amplif sau deregenerare? De asemenea, am o intrebare, ati avut un motiv special de alegere a unei IF atat de joase? Fiindca in clipurile dvs cu radioul MW si SW nu se aud 'imagini' ale posturilor. Mulțumesc mult.
Am folosit R1 pentru a gasi mai usor punctul optim de functionare al oscilatorului. Plus ca pe masura ce se consuma bateria, trebuia ajustata din nou tensiunea din baza lui Q1. Intr-o versiune mai complicata se poate folosi o baterie cu amperaj mai mare si un stabilizator de tensiune. Etajul echipat cu Q1 este amplificator, mixer si oscilator. Am tot testat diferite frecvente intermediare, insa din cauza interferentelor si semnalelor parazite am ajuns in final la acea frecventa mai joasa.

Interesant!Dar totuși mi se pare destul de complicat la prima vedere transformatorul 🙄.De asemenea e din ce in ce mai greu sa obțin un condensator variabil mai ales de cel din aluminiu..Nu se mai găsesc neam unde locuiesc..Oamenii au dat la reciclat radiourile vechi si cand ma gândesc cat de valoroase sunt aceste piese! Despre funcționarea radioului nu am nimic de obiectat.Felicitari!
Multumesc pentru comentariu! Se pot folosi si condensatoare variabile de pe site-urile chinezesti, cele cu folie izolatoare sau se pot folosi diode varicap. Evident, in functie de capacitatile pieselor se va reface si calculul estimativ al frecventei de lucru. Exista calculatoare online pt. frecventa si inductanta. Urmatorul radio DIY va fi cu diode varicap sau echivalente. Referitor la transformatoare: important este sa respectati sensul de bobinare, ordinea infasurarilor si nr. de spire. In cazul TR 2 (filtru) nu este asa important, se mai poate regla miezul, insa in cazul oscilatorului, esentiala este infasurarea dintre pinii 1 si 2. Daca este o spira in plus, montajul este prea sensibil, daca este in minus, montajul nu functioneaza pe toata banda de frecventa dorita.

I don't see why the IFTs were rewound to get 145 kHz, and builder did not keep the std 455 kHz of the IFTs, adjusting the Osc coil to suit since he was winding a new osc coil anyway. Also, I agree with a previous commentor that the design is not simple. Nevertheless, it is useful to an experimenter in that it incrementally builds upon the previously buily Reflex TRF radio. Also, I would have replaced the bulky 2-gang Tuning Air capacitor with varactor diode tuning with a 10-turn potentiometer. But, this is a really good effort from which others can lrarn to mix-and-match! Bravo !

what are the Values for L2-MW and L2-SW ?. The question is based on the very high possibility that my ferrite rod might have different properties than yours and will yield a value that will not get me to the correct bands. Withe value I can build my coils very close to what you have in yours.

Many years ago I had a 2-transistor arrangement courtesy of a kit, possibly made by Philips and on just a ferrite rod was surprised how well it pulled in the stations. By comparison, the battery tube radios I made in the early 60s needed an outside antenna to do something similar.

Fiddling with the dials trying to get signals to be understandable is half of the fun when using a Regen. Not the best radios for casual listening, but lots of fun.
That is why a superheterodyne is in the works.
