BRAND NEW Brooks Catamount 2 Trail Running Shoe FULL REVIEW
Is Brooks on the edge of an exciting new trail running trend? For the first Catamount, Brooks drew on their road expertise to build a fast trail running shoe. The result was a light, fun shoe, but it was missing some trail-specific features. With the Catamount 2, Brooks has fully committed the Catamount series to the trail with a hydrophobic, abrasion-resistant upper and a more aggressive outsole. Even with those new trail features, the shoe is just as light and it feels even faster thanks to the new SkyVault propulsion plate in the forefoot. I don't think I've seen another trail shoe with the same versatile feature-set as the Catamount 2!

HOKA Challenger 7 Trail Running Shoe Review | ALL TERRAIN TESTED
มุมมอง 24K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Can an all terrain shoe really take you anywhere? HOKA originally built the Challenger ATR for REI members who wanted an all-terrain running shoe-a shoe you could take from your front door to your local trails. I've seen every iteration of the Challenger line, and it's always felt more like a road running shoe that could handle some light trails, but the updates to the Challenger 7 have me thin...

New York City Marathon | My First Road Race Ever!
มุมมอง 2.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I can't imagine a better FIRST RACE than the NEW YORK CITY MARATHON! As someone who primarily runs on trails, I didn't know what to expect from a road marathon, but the people of New York City came out in force to pump up everyone running the race! The folks in Brooklyn set the bar high, but all 5 boroughs were incredible! I feel super grateful to get to experience such amazing energy in a plac...
Adidas Terrex Agravic Flow 2 | Running Shoe Review

How FLY is your mountain wear? From Run-DMC to Kanye and Ultraboost, Adidas has cinched itself well into the streetwear market since the 1980s. Just over 10 years ago they launched their TERREX line to compete in the mountain wear industry and today their Adidas TERREX athletes are winning some of the biggest trail running events in the world. The Adidas Agravic Flow 2 trail running shoes are j...
Adidas Adizero Boston 11 Running Shoe Review
มุมมอง 35K2 ปีที่แล้ว
The Boston series of running shoes has been a mainstay of the Adidas running line since 1984, but last year's Adizero Boston 10 blew up expectations with a complete overhaul of the midsole. The changes left a lot of folks wondering what Adidas was doing with the Boston. This year, Adidas released the Adizero Boston 11 with the same midsole as the 10 but a completely new upper, and it feels like...
Adidas Ultraboost 22 Running Shoe Review - How Does the Style Icon Actually Run?
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Can the Adidas Ultraboost 22, a running shoe coveted by sneaker heads, perform in my running rotation? Adidas describes the Ultraboost 22 as a daily trainer with plenty of energy return thanks to the BOOST cells in the midsole. This is my first time running in the Ultraboost line, and after putting 50 miles in the shoes, I was a bit surprised by the experience. Intro: 0:00 Ultraboost 22 specs: ...
Brooks Caldera 6 Trail Running Shoe Review - Max Cushion and Max Confidence!
มุมมอง 12K2 ปีที่แล้ว
I admit that when I first received the Brooks Caldera 6, I didn't think it would be the trail running shoe for me, but after putting close to 50 miles in the shoes I can definitely say that my mind has been changed! If you've watched my reviews, you know that I'm a fan of high-cushion shoes, but some of the trail running shoes I was most excited to run in this year have delivered on cushion but...
Brooks Glycerin 20 Running Shoe Review - 20 Years of Engineering!
มุมมอง 2.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
When a running shoe has been around for 20 years, there's got to be a reason, right? It turns out that for the Brooks Glycerin 20 the reason is consistency-however many miles you want to put in on your run, the Glycerin is going to be there for you! The updates to the Brooks Glycerin 20 reinforce that consistency-the nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 midsole is soft but supportive with each landing,...
HOKA Carbon X 3 Running Shoe Review
มุมมอง 2.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
When I think about HOKA I think about cushion and comfort, but the HOKA Carbon X 3 is adding another dimension to my thinking. The HOKA Carbon X 3 running shoe now has me thinking about running for SPEED in a new way, and it might even inspire me to run a road marathon for the first time! I was surprised at how comfortable the fit was for a speed running shoe-in addition to being race-ready, th...
How I PICK and PLAN a MOUNTAIN RUNNING ROUTE!
มุมมอง 1.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
There's nothing I love more than getting out for a full day of trail running in the mountains, so I thought I'd take some time to talk about how I choose a trail running route and plan for a full day on the trail. Things like the number of folks I'll be running with, the time of year I'm headed out, what I want to see along the way, and how long I want to spend on the trail all go into picking ...
Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 Running Shoe Review
มุมมอง 4.6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
If you'd told me that a speed shoe could be my daily trainer, I'd have said "no way," but the Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 has changed my mind. Coming in on the heels of the much-loved Endorphin Speed 2, the Endorphin Speed 3 checks all the boxes for a fast race shoe: it's a lightweight 8.1 ounces per shoe and the midsole is soft but responsive with a full-length nylon plate to add some pop. The g...

I bought the original X, 2 years ago. Bought it for the color, not for running. Didn’t wear it a lot until a few years ago. I think my arch needed redeveloped. Ironically, after using it for walking, I started jogging again. Will be grabbing a pair of X 3s.

Not even really a runner, just wanted a decently light and cushioned shoe I can take on day hikes every now and then and I think these fit the bill pretty well. I do hike on some muddier and more technical bits sometimes so I’m a little concerned about how they do in those conditions, but I’m sure they can’t be any worse than when I would hike in Vans or my Arahi road shoes lol

Challenger 5 took some breaking in but ultimately was perfect for me, running about 1/3 on pavement and 2/3 on unpaved fire roads. Challenger 6 was slightly disappointing, feeling a little clunkier but otherwise fine. The upper wore out more quickly. I wish I loved the Challenger 7 but, unlike with the two previous models, I have heel-slippage that I can't fully get rid of.

Lovely, calm and informative video with 2 fantastic guys. "Eat and Run" was a great read and as seen, Scott is a gentle and wise man, no ego and willing to share his insights. There is nothing to compare with the joy of crossing natural terrain on foot, as shown on their faces and it's a great reminder to those of us who haven't done it in a while to get out there! Cheers from Sydney and thanks - Dave

Cascadias are softer but Calderas are stiffer and higher off the ground; I prefer Cascadias overall after wearing both. I also like the Launches in Brooks' line.

I doubt that. I have five pair of these and they are bullet proof. Also there are an amazing array of colors from bright red or bright yellow to more subdues versions. Having both knees replaced I now only hike with the boys (two 100 pound labs) and these shoes have been awesome.

  • @randomark9161

this can be a good daily shoe if they removed the plate and rods, made the lightstrike softer or add more lightstrike pro. It doesnt need to be a tempo shoe its too heavy and the takumi sen is the way better tempo shoe. Its to firm, adidas needs to understand this. Adidas needs a good daily trainer and this can be it, if they made it more comfortable and soft, they have fast shoes.
