@danieltheadjuster I know Florida is a Federal OSHA State. So you are blessed with fewer visits, but if you are popped, it would be 6-10k in fines. (I used to be an OSHA Regulator)

@patricksanders858 Actually these homes are cinderblock exterior walls, with roof strapping mortared into the top coarse. And the roof surfaces are crazy glued together and mastic sealed around vents and holes throughout the roof. I think these houses are well built and ready for hurricanes (even 6 nails in each shingle). The homes rarely leak even when half the roof is missing shingles. Pretty good I would say. Just not capable of handling 80+ mph winds for hours. haha

@BryceKrispy412 Xactimate has been used for many many years and is the standard in the insurance industry. Since remediation companies, and many roofers and contractors are now using it for writing comparable estimates when doing insurance work, I really don't see this software being replaced any time in the future. Symbility software has been trying to compete for years but has not succeeded. Xactimate is here to stay in this industry.

@scratchyguitar6404 yes, I would agree with you as well, but just spend some time looking at the installers and how fast they nail. I don't think any quality control is being applied to most roof installs. Job security for the roofers and insurance adjusters! 😆

@juddsta611 I’m currently working on an Xactimate course. There will be approximately 25 videos, teaching Xactimate level one and level two. This will be at a much slower pace. It’s a very complicated program so it’s hard to explain it in one or two videos. My course will be better for you to learn. Stay tuned.

@yourtheone1-x6e A desk Adjuster position, which typically is hourly for an Independent Adjuster, is a good way to start learning. Lots of trainers and managers to help out. Fee Schedules are really for somebody who is skilled and working daily claims or catastrophe work. You can make good money as a Desk Adjuster.
