I'm surely not able to do this, but I can critic... :) a) a breaker bar could have saved you some time on the bolts. b) there was oil beneath the clutch, near the rear main seal. You should have changed that... if the transmision's off. c) No torquing the bolts... Electric tools are good, but those bolts should be tightened to spec. You don't want to redo the work.

Unfortunately you are very far from where I live…I have the clutch replaced 10k miles ago, the cylinder failed and I replaced everything again... Now after 2000 miles the cylinder failed again . LUK parts all over…Is the garage doing anything wrong? Is there anything in particular to do regarding this?Please reply. Many thanks!!!

Never showed trying to separate the box from the engine.. currently trying to remove mine NOT an easy job

Great video but how in the name of zeus’ sphincter do you get the bolt next to the exhaust out? Edit: Ended up removing the bolt/stud that was in the way. Requires an E7 e-torx socket.

Might sound like a daft question, but I did timing belt, water pump, aux belt, alternator and what not this summer. How difficult would this be rated in comparison? I think clutch is at the point where it's needing changing.

Hi mate i think my bearing is gone also on a gearbox as it is ticking and sometimes on start it slips also that is the clutch isn't?

I perfer pulling the motor but thats just me

Hi, I recently fitted a new clutch, flywheel and master cylinder but sometimes my pedal is dipped when I get in the car in the mornings. Sometimes when I let the clutch up the biting point is at the floor and sometimes it's really high. And nearly all the times the clutch pedal is vibrating until I lift it with my toe. What do u think could be causing this brother?

The problem with this clutch is NOT the pressure finger plate that looks like its missing at 34.20 mins. As this is a Sachs dual mass clutch which is normal construction . So what exactly was the problem?

Quick question, is it okay to use a pressure bleeding kit to bleed the system?.

Where was the broken spline,was it part of the friction disc. I wish you had pointed out the damaged area in more detail,as l failed to see this in your video.

Great work mate... Wish I had your stamina and youth at 67yo.. Its tough work doing it alone, especially having to bleed the hydraulics for the throw out bearing. Cherrio...

Jesus the spring has totally collapsed.. I've just replaced the hole clutch with a new kit, and I am now getting a rattle when I dip the clutch slightly to half way.. I'm gonna have to strip it again >.< ...

I had clunking noise through gear changing. Had clutch, dmf and master cylinder changed still clunking through gear changing any ideas

Pukka job. Only thing I do differently is leave the subframe on barely bolted on the drivers side and let the passenger side hang. End up with a nice place to perch the box so you don't have to pick it up off the floor 😂😂😂 the old gearbox press haha. But definitely looks less fiddly without it in the way!!!

Why did you not replace the flywheel bud … i need my clutch done as its abit hard to get into gear and reverse plus abit stiff .. done 125k drives ok but needs doing soon should i get a new flywheel with the clutch kit or just the clutch kit as you have done on this ds3 cheers great video 🙏
