Did Topping A Pepper Plant work?
I did a little experiment to see if topping a pepper plant helps with production. I wanted to share my results.
All was filmed on my phone, so had light and focus issues in some sections.

Simple Garden Table from Free Pallets
มุมมอง 1013 ปีที่แล้ว
I needed a gardening table to save my back from doing stuff on the ground. With lumber prices so high these days, I decided to use pallets I could get for free. Other than the pallets gotten from a local nursery for free, I used a nail gun with 2 inch nails, a circular saw, tape measure and a few other hand tools mostly to take the slats off from the two pallets used as tabletop. Overall work w...
Roomba Error : Bin Missing
มุมมอง 4.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Just had an issue with the Roomba. Even though the error message said "Stuck. Bin Missing", it turned out to be the little fan behind the Bin filter being very dirty and probably getting stuck now and then. The error message is not really helpful, so I put this short video hoping it would help others with a similar issue. Thanks for watching. Music: www.bensound.com

Super Beetle Shift Rod Bushing Replacement
มุมมอง 27K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Recently acquired a 78 Super Beetle and it's having serious issues shifting through gears. Thanks to all that put videos, like Duckman, and forum entries on theSamba, I was able to replace the bushing needed. This is not an easy job, but very well worth it. It shifts through gears smoothly now. As many mentioned before me, for Super Beetles, you don't need to take any front plates off like you ...

Gym Ball Pizza Oven for less than $250 - Part 3
มุมมอง 66K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the last part of the project where curing and first test happens. Started with very small wood chip fires and built up to a medium size fire in 7-8 total. No cracks, or flares anywhere. The test pizza was also great... Overall, it was a great project. Thanks to others for sharing and helping out with the small details.
Gym Ball Pizza Oven for less than $250 - Part 2
มุมมอง 111K5 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the second part of putting together a pizza oven. This one has the table set up from different sizes of wood pieces, a sheet of plastic moisture barrier, sand on top of it, and about 60 firebricks laid out on top of sand. The dome is set on top of the bricks and I then wrap the dome with fire blanket cutouts, add a metal chimney and finish it with overall render. All for about $180.

Hi, I just saw in these days your beautiful videos about the pizza oven. I have seen them many times.I would like to ask you, if possible, to have all the measurements in centimeters, including the diameter of the gymnastic ball and the two parts of entrance of the oven. If possible to give me also the quantity of materials for making the structure of the oven. I really and sincerely congratulate you for this your creation that I would like to imitate, trying to build one just like the yours. If you can give me all the measurements, I am very grateful. Thank you and have a good day. Manuele
Have to turn crap down
voww where are you originally from
As much as i like taking care of my motorcycle. What preventive care can I do to prevent doing this in the first place
I don't think there's anyone out there using a vehicle with a carburetor never needed to do something similar to this 🤣 ...but, I believe using ethanol free gas, and keeping the tank debris and rust free helps the most along with using good gas filters.
Great video. The only thing i do different is completely remove the rod and clean the rust off all of its lenght. Its smoother on the bushing when you slide the rod in
Thank you so much, just did my 74 super beetle and your video was a lifesaver. My only addition is as I was feeding the rod back. I got hung up on the parking break and heater assembly. I was able to press it down with a screwdriver and until it cleared and then used your support claw to get it the rest of the way back A+ great video thank you.
I love the way you done this really want to achieve this for my garden. If you don't mind please send me all the things used in this video omg can't wait 😊
Happy to hear you like it and want to make your own... Hope you film it and put on youtube so we can see it as well. All the material that I had used are listed on descriptions of part 1 to 3 videos.
My smokes really bad and waste to much oil is draining both oil and gas from the filter
This sounds more like a gasket leak, which is a more involved repair as you need to take the head of the engine off and replace the gasket while making sure the bots are tightened according to specs. Good luck if you decide to go for it.
I think i missed that pipe inside too and its bound up, I'll check and retry
How did you get out the stripped screws? Same issue. Assuming its same as any other stripped ...
Excellent videos and had a start last week end. Unless I've missed it - what thickness are the fire bricks as I have choices from 25mm, 40mm, 50mm, etc and no guidance on which one to use? Thanks in advance.
I believe they're the standard in US, which should be 2.25 inches thickness, which is 57mm. So, I'd think the 50mm standard is at your location.
I think the floats in my v star are sticking could i do this to clean that area? Plus clean the jets while in at it. Why can't you touch the float? Thanks for any help
The floats are set specifically to hold the needle in place with right amount of pressure. I find removing the float and the needle without taking the whole carb assembly out very difficult and I would likely bend the float tabs that hold the needles. If bent, then it'll likely either not let fuel through the bowls, or not stop fuel when bowl is full. And either will cause your fuel system not working right. If you think there's an issue with the floats, you might be better off taking the whole carb assembly out. The video is posted specifically for idle jet related issues. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much! Mine was filled from my 5 cats fur. The fan was filthy, I needed to get down all the way to the wires (one step farther than your tutorial, there was enough hair and dust/dirt there to "short circuit the motor and refuse it to spin. Crazy design failure on the roomba, or should I just blame my cats lol.
Works great now! 👍
Glad the video was helpful. I don't have a shedding cat/dog, and it still failed, so I'd think it's a design issue. Cheers!
oil change is every 4000 miles filter change is every 8000 miles the 650 takes 3 quarts with a filter change 2.7 if you dont change the filter. Put 3 quarts in with a filter, START the engine for a minute to fill up the oil filter cavity, turn the engine off THEN check the site glass with the bike vertical: Perfect! There is no reason to check the window when you put the proper amount in the engine. unless you spilled it all over the floor there is nowhere else it can GO! More important: DONT TOUCH YOUR BIKE UNLESS YOU HAVE A TORQUE WRENCH. YOU WILL STRIP OUT THE THREADS IN THE ALUMINUM BLOCK AND TRASH YOUR ENGINE! drain plug: 32 ft lbs 8 cover bolts: 7 ft lbs
@@alfonsoamandola5135 De nada. Me alegro de que haya sido útil. ¡Salud!
Even without audio your video is better than the other videos I saw where the tech is talking too much instead of going straight to the subject and better yet you provided description of the material for people like me that knows nothing about mechanics. Good job. Thanks.
Thank you sir! I like to keep things straight to the point, and like you, can't stand videos with 10% useful info and 90% bla bla bla :)
Where did u get you’re firebricks. Amazon prices would place it at $300 alone for the bricks
I had gotten them from a local building supply yard, I don't remember exactly, but they were like $2 - $2.5 each. I don't know the prices these days but calling your local supplier stores would probably be best way to get them cheap.
You Sr. just saved me buying a new one, my old Roomba 675 had this issue and now works really well
Hey Daniel, you're welcome. I'm glad the video helped you solving your Roomba's issue. Comments like yours are the best and most encouraging. Thanks
Looks like you over filled the oil. It's supposed to be between the lines in the glass site area.
That black plastic will taste good.

Glad you liked it. Hope your fix went well.
Can you estimate how much cement / perlite you went through??
Hi, they are in the videos or on their descriptions.
@@fixiteasy9080 man, I feel like a shmuck! Normally I check descriptions to avoid the silly questions …my bad, but I appreciate the response! I’m not 100% sold on a wooden base, I’m looking at other configurations from brick, but I’m definitely sold on your method for the dome! Cheers.
I like your oven, I'm about to make my own.
if you drain the tank and carb condensation can freeze up and make cracks, best practice is to leave full tank gas with some fuel stabilizer in it.
Buena suerte.
How tall is the oven itself after the final coat of cement? Not from the ground just from the hearth up. Thanks.
Thanks for this beautiful video
I did this last night on my 71 Super and will offer some tips and observations- Taking at least one of the front seats out makes this way easier (I took out both) just so you can go between both openings without having to move then. Your "great trick" of having some rope or twin pulled through the tunnel as well as something looped under the rod through the shifter hole is valuable for guiding the rod back through and making sure you're not wrapped around any cables, even if you can't use the rope to pull. I was able to pretty easily install the ring and bushing over the twine I used and pop them into the retainer. I used a pretty basic pair of needle-nose pliers leveraged against the front of the shifter opening to move the rod 2"-3" at a time. I used a little bit of grease to get it started and then again whenever it felt like it was binding up. The rod was a little rough but not too bad. Your trick of dipping your cellphone camera down there to see what's going on was GOLD, I did this several times- pretty much whenever I felt like the rod was binding up I would check and see what I was stuck on and determine which way I needed to angle the rod. Your video is awesome because it shows, there is ALOT of crap in that tunnel that you don't want to break or bind. I changed the angle of the rod as needed by pulling up on my rope looped around the rod in the shifter opening (mostly) and pulling on my twine through the back (somewhat). I also found that I needed to rotate the rod to get around stuff at different times (since it is indeed slightly curved!) which I was able to do with my pliers though the shifter opening. I didn't take me that long, I would guess less than an hour (I had a couple interruptions). I really was happy to avoid pulling the shift rod all the way out the front, but don't know how much time doing it this way saves it my just be a wash. That said, if I do this on a Super again I would 100% try and do it this way again.
I'm happy that the tips on my video helped you out. And Thanks for sharing your tips as well.
why make the job so complicated? if you extract the entire shift rod from the front cap it takes less than half the time
@@Iz6kcq I think it's slightly faster leaving it in, could go either way really. I will admit- you can really clean and polish up the rod when you pull it all the way out which can improve the feel of the shifting as well.
Hi. What are the dimensions of the base please.
i just bought a roomba 980 for $50 with this error i hope so much that the fix is this simple!! thanks
I hope that helps. Would love to hear back if that was the only issue and the video helped you out. Please let me know if it did. Thanks
Best advice to remove the stripped screw?
If the screw had is still on, a not too dip slit cut with a Dremel tool or a small metal saw usually works for me. That usually allows a flat head screw driver to get a bite and start turning the screw. Sometimes a very small vice grip might also work if you have one and have a bit of space around. If the screw head is off, you might try a screw extractor bit. If all fails, then I usually drill it out and put a new tap on. Good Luck.
Excellent thank you, will try this 👍
Good Luck. Hope it works.
This video really helps me. Thanks
Glad it helped. Cheers.
How many days is it dry???
How can it be a 52” ball but the table is 48”x48”?
Answered in the Description: Question about the ball size and the plank used: Even though it's a 52 inch ball, it was not fully inflated and the plank was sold as 8x4 and cut in half to get 4x4. It probably was an inch or two larger too as the lumber places often cut them a bit larger than exact measures.
Nice job on your pizza oven! Did you use refractory cement, or regular Portland??
Hey Thanks. I used just regular Portland cement.
Good video, but I would prefer if you talked and didn't play the music. Anyway, I think with any small engine, if it's going to sit around awhile, it's best to use an engineered fuel, like Tru-Fuel, or add a fuel stabilizer.
Thanks. I agree, it's probably much better to use those if you already plan on having the engine sit for a long period of time. I found it easier to just use ethanol free fuel for all small engine equipment even though I don't plan on them sitting around long period of time.
Can't watch. Music. For why? No speakey! For why not? Do you think music people out out a video and say, 'How can we make this visually attractive? Ah, yes, let's add a video of a piece of machinery being worked only a mechanic. People are bound to find that super interesting. See, instead of watching your video, which is probably super interesting, but i'll never know, I've been venting. Won't give you either thumb.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll think about doing a voiceover and original sound.
Junk . would not stay running even new . play with choke it would run burst of 10 seconds
Noob
This pizza oven is not a good build, it can't even reach over a stable average of 600F... You can buy wood pellet smokers which has a stable 600F for less than $400. Although it's nice you tried making one. If I were to put effort in making a pizza oven I'll make sure it can reach at minimum of a stable average of 700F. Anything lower than 700F is just a waste of time, energy and money in making a pizza oven.
Why do you think it doesn't reach those temperatures?
@@EduardoGutierrez-rr4ts It does reach those temperatures just that it is not efficient and very time consuming.
You should add an extra layer to finish it off with some decoration... its looks like a cheap home made pizza oven lol
wanted to see how u transferred the dome to the table...
what is the diameter size of that yoga ball?
Hi! Looks great 👌🏻☺️ Will try to build one here in Sweden. How hot does it become on the outside of the oven? Will a wooden fence behind it accidentally start to burn? Grateful for a reply.
Hi, Thanks Malin. It doesn't get hot at all. I think I have a section in one of the videos showing that with a thermometer. The fire blanket really works well to keep the heat inside. You can probably see the wood slats behind my oven. They're totally safe :) Good luck with your build and please let me know how it turned out.
I'm planning to do one of these, the only thing I might add is a paint on water proof membrane to the external cement render so the rain doesn't enter the fire blanket and porous structure underneath. Afterwards I might even tile it to hide and protect the membrane.
Sounds like good plan. Please let me know if you end up filming it and putting up on TH-cam. Would love to see it.
Do you know what size the screws are you purchased. I stripped two of mine but cannot find the size
I don't. I took one of them with me to the store. They have guides/templates you can try to find the size there.
@@fixiteasy9080 Thank you. I found them. For future reference they are M4-0.7 x 14 mm Plain Metric Socket Head Cap Screw. .98cents for two at Home Depot
Very nice, I would probably use 4x4 for legs. You inspired me. Cheers🍻🍕. Also may I ask where you got 60 fire bricks and spent 250$ on total build? Those things are expensive.
Hey Thanks Mario... appreciate it. This is almost 3 years ago now, and people were not doing their 'rona projects backyard. I bet the prices are pretty high now, but back then, they weren't that expensive at my local construction supplier joint. If I remember right, they were like $2 each.
@@fixiteasy9080 😲. Talk about skyrocketing prices. At my local Lowes they are 12$ a piece. I'm wondering if there is an alternative🤔. God bless you brother. Be safe, you and yours.
I followed your design and it came out great! I have a question- would the sand/cement mix work on the inside of the oven? I keep knocking off pieces of the perlite/cement mix on accident with tools and I want to strengthen the inside of the oven
Hi, I'm glad to hear your build was successful. I was worried about the same thing and thought about doing the same , but ended up going with perlite mix only and got used to it and now don't really worry about it at all... The mix in the inner dome does a great job keeping the heat inside and keep the rest or outer shell cool. I am not sure if a layer of cement inside would stay fine with 1000+F temperatures.
I build mine over the weekend...I forgot to leave a hole for a Temp gauge. Do you think is possible to drill a hole for the temp without damaging the structure? Thanks!!
I am not sure, but probably you can drill a hole with a sharp bit and a gingerly approach I guess. But, for temperature, I usually use a laser/infrared temp gun most of the time. I also use a cheap stainless steel in oven temp gauge now and then. you could also attach the temp gauge on the door if you're building one.
