    • @WisdomExclusive
      @WisdomExclusive หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching! I live near London and I have used post office services to get the docs verified & stamped. However, you can use below per Zerodha recommendation - If the KYC status is Non-resident, there is no need to notarize the documents. If not, the documents must be notarised by the Indian embassy, authorised officials of overseas branches of scheduled commercial banks registered in India, public notaries, court magistrates, judges, or the Indian embassy or consulate general in the country where the NRI resides. The attesting authority should affix a verified with original stamp, name, designation, authority or employee code, signature and date on the said documents. To check the KYC status, create a ticket and mention the PAN and date of birth. Please let me know in case you need any further information! Thanks!

Now do I need to have an Indian Bank account to deposit and withdraw money for investments ? 2. Hello & thanks for watching! Please find answers to your questions- 1. Yes, you need and NRI NRO A/c which can be easily opened with any nationalised public or private bank in India. If you already have any savings bank account in India, you can contact your bank and they can convert your existing bank account into NRO bank account. 2. You should open an NRI NRO bank account and then provide that details to proceed further. Without this NRI NRO bank account details you will not be able to proceed as this is requirement for NRI Demat account. Please let me know incase you have any more questions? Thanks!

      Hello - Please find below answers to your questions- 1. Technically, when you reside outside of India more than 182 days, you become NRI and therefore, you should open NRI demat account as its legal requirement 2. Yes, you can use VPN services and you might be able to open resident account thru VPN but you will NOT follow the rule and you might end up in more confusion & problems like ITR file, bank accounts in India etc... Also, other brokers have to follow the same rule like Angel or Upstox. It may sound difficult initially, but using your NRI account would be more beneficial and compliant to rule & laws. You can also use NRO account to invest in mutual funds if you want. Ans 4 - If you want to open NRO A/c from India - You can do it either visiting branch or online as mentioned in ans1. For Zerodha, you have to fill the form and send scan copies to Zerodha in mail and after they verify your documents, then you have to send hard copies to Zerodha office. So, you can open both accounts from outside or inside India as per your choice. Yes, you can use residency permit as Visa or proof of foreign residence. Ans 5 - Yes, you can transfer funds from your NRO account to any other resident account. @@PandiTParkash-de1pk You become NRI after 6 months of leaving India. So, you should convert your bank accounts to NRO/NRE account. The best way is to use Non-PIS Demat account which can be linked to NRO bank account and you can invest in Indian share market. Also, from Zerodha COIN App you can invest in mutual funds. Zerodha also recommends - NRO NON- PIS Account for most of the people. When you go back to India you can convert all your bank and Demat accounts to resident Indian accounts.Thanks!

    • @WisdomExclusive
      @WisdomExclusive 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In this case also- You will be considered as investor in India as you still hold shares whether you are using Zerodha or not. I would recommend to convert your account to NRI otherwise if you don’t use the account for a longer period of time, then it might be considered as dormant and you have to contact Zerodha or your demat broker to activate it. So to avoid such issues and become legally compliant you should convert your Demat to NRI. Please let me know if you have more questions. Thanks!

      Hello, I am very well & thanks for watching! If you want to use Zerodha for investing in Indian stocks and mutual funds, please follow below steps - 1. First convert your Indian SBI bank account into NRO/NRE account if not already done. You can also open a new NRO & NRE bank account of your choice in any new bank. Hi Niraj - Thanks for watching and glad to know you found this video informative! Answer to your question - I only provided NRO bank account cheque as mentioned in document list while opening my account last year. However, they have now mentioned to provide the income proof as well and under that form 16 is mentioned, so I would assume they are asking for income proof from India. Newly added information from the link - support.zerodha.com/category/account-opening/nri-account-opening/articles/how-to-open-an-account-as-a-nri , * NRIs are mandated to submit income proof while opening an account due to their classification as Clients of Special Category (CSC). To learn more, see Who are Clients of Special Category (CSC), and when must they provide income proof? Income proof can be any of the following: .Bank statement or passbook for the last six months. .The latest salary slip. .Form 16 or Income Tax Return (ITR) acknowledgement. .Net worth certificate. .Statement of demat holdings. If I were you, I would provide Indian income proof as unless asked by Zerodha to provide external proof. Please let me know incase you need any further information. Thanks!

Now i can either convert my local Zerodha account into NRI or close and open new. This is clear. What is not clear is two things. 1- What will happen to my existing SGB bond and i bought it after i became NRI. 2- I have setup some SIPs from my NRE/NRO account directly with banks and MFs home do i need to close them or convert.

      Hello - Glad to know that my video is useful for you! Please find below the answers to your questions - 1. If you still have Resident Indian Zerodha Demat Account - then yes, you need to either sell or transfer all your holdings including SGB to any other resident account ( may be of any other family member ) and then close the existing account. Then, you can open new NRI Zerodha Demat account. 2. IF you already have running mutual funds with your bank account, it will not be impacted after converting your bank account to NRO/NRE. You just have to complete the KYC again with either your individual funds or with CAMS/Karvy once. Please let me know in case if you have further questions. Thanks!

      Jai Hind Friend! - I would definitely recommend Non- PIS account for retail investor & I have done same for myself. A Non-PIS account does not require a permission letter from the RBI. In this account, funds only from an NRO bank (any NRO Bank) account can be invested. The Non-PIS account is recommended as it has fewer restrictions, lower costs, and a more effortless investing experience. On the other hand - A PIS account requires a permission letter from the RBI to buy and sell shares in the Indian markets.
