Bhai mushroom 🍄 bhi lgaaoo kesar k baad.....mzaa aajayega....
Not practical. And not recommended from agronomy and operational reasons.
Sir ji...apart from saffron cultivation ....one might grow organic mushroom 🍄 in the same lab ....and both saffron and mushroom or lettuce can be exported in the world markets...😂....saffron might be sold at 6 lakh per kilo...and in india 3 lakh per kg in domestic market...it's shelf life is very much higher therefore one can wait for the price rise etc.....anyway.... 1000 kg bulbs = approximately 1.3/5 kg saffron in lab .....let's make it 5 kg approx with 4000 kg bulbs....it makes 15 lakh cash tax free income....💰.....rest of the time...mushrooms be grown at ease.....it's price is typically not less than 100 /kg....yahoooo.....💯🍄....this project is viable in my opinion if handled well 😀 ....
Btw - saffron and mushroom will need different climatic conditions + if you discard saffron bulbs to replace with mushroom - then you will have to buy them every year reducing your profit margins further. Other thing that may be an issue is that you are assuming revenue as income. Income is revenue minus expenses. So income will be much lower than what is being assumed. You can try it out and check for yourself.
Sir ; am living in Kochi; Kerala. Had been reading on hydrophonics & aquaphonics for a long time; but still couldn't start owing to personal reasons. Aquaphonics felt more appealing to me. Please advise me.
Aquaponics gives two income streams so financial viability seems better - but it also is more complex and needs higher expertise. We do not have expertise in Aquaponics yet. It would be good if you search for some Aquaponics farmers and talk to them to learn from their experiences.
can I set up a commercial aquaphonic farm in 1200 sq spac
If it’s 1200 sq meters than you can try - but given the small area - you should try exotic leafy greens and sell directly to hotels and cafés. Vegetable crops like capsicum, zucchini, cucumber etc will not be profitable in this small area.

What is time period to get the cucumber yield
Yield will start in 1 month and continue for another 2 to 2.5 - total crop cycle 3 to 3.5 months.
Hi, I am an aspiring entrepreneur. I have more than 15 years of corporate experience in multiple management roles. I am planning to start a new venture and vertical farming is one of the ideas I am pursuing. Kindly let me know that in this video, you have not accounted for land rental cost. Will the inclusion of that cost not make the business model unsustainable (I.e if you do not own that much of land)
No. The assumption is that you will be doing it on an agricultural land. In india the going rates for agricultural land lease are between 40k to 80k per acre per year. As such it won’t impact viability. However if you are planning to do it on commercial land or in city where rental yields are high - it will be unviable and not advisable.
Hello sir… I am very new in farming Living in Rajasthan ( Pali ) having 1 acre of land want to start hydrophonic farming or indoor saffron farming … Kindly assist me about budget and which should I prefer Winter temperature 10-25 Summer 20-45 One more thing is there any institute who guide about this ? Thanks in advance
For saffron farming - there is a video by me. Please search for that and see. If doing - do it only in winter in a spare room. Don’t do it on land. On land you can go for a subsidy project - we are doing one in Kota for a customer. Please reach out to my team through WhatsApp at 8431983230 or by filling up a contact form at our website www.citygreens.ai
Very nice explainer video.
Glad you found it helpful!
What can be cost to setup a semi auto, rain protected farm for 1/4 of an acre?
Start from 25 L onward and will go up to 60 L depending upon what all components are included.
Is there a vendor who can handle the entire infrastructure setup for full automation in Andhra? I think the main challenge is finding the buyer… Could you please make a video outlining the strategies for acquiring buyers ?
We do both. Turnkey setup as well as offering buy-back support. Meanwhile - will also do a video on sales strategies shortly. If you would like to avail our services, you can fill up the contact form on our website www.citygreens.ai and we will touch base with you.
Is there a subsidy available for Lakadong turmeric cultivation? Do we have any official documents or site links outlining the crops eligible for subsidy?
You can check NHB site for subsidy details. You can also plan turmeric as second crop after doing a subsidy crop first cycle.
Very well explained
Thank you
Sir.. Where are you from?? How can I get practical knowledge from you. Please let me know
You can find more about me and connect with our team here. www.citygreens.ai/our-story
What if we export it
Export price premiums are determined by origin. Kashmiri saffron gets the best price followed by Iranian. For the one grown in indoor vertical farm - we don’t know whether it will be treated as premium, at par, or inferior to premium grades.
For the polyhouse ...how can we merge NHB with AIF and CGTMSE SCHEME??
Take loan through CGTMSE, use AIF to reduce interest rate, show the loan approval to get subsidy.
Is it possible to receive a subsidy for polyhouse soilless(coco peat & drip irrigation)farming with Lakadong turmeric cultivation?
Yes
Thanks for the informative video.
Good videos. It is helpful to start understanding things in these domains.
Thanks Gagan
Please make your video in hindi

Thank you
Seems like a good business idea. Sir may I know how its chances of growth are in the hills? Will we still require a costly setup, or would a simple outdoor polyhouse be sufficient? Please guide and suggest.
A simple setup will do in hills. You may not even need a polyhouse and can start with a spare room.
Seems like a good business idea, sir. May I know how its chances of growth are in the hills? Will we still require a costly setup, or would a simple poly house be sufficient? Please guide and suggest.
Yes. This will need polyhouse. But if you are in hills and temperatures are low then you may not need the costly climate controlled polyhouse. A normal NVPH polyhouse may work.
Thanks for informative explanation Regards
Thanks for liking
Sir , what's the coast of this net house?
Approx 22 to 24 lakhs per acre.
I am beginner (zero idea in farming) and i live in odisha. The temperature in ( summer : 35-45 Winter: 15-27 Moderately rainy) Thinking of cultivating crops. Should i do it in traditional way by hiring farmers or should i try hydroponics? And please do tell me what kind of crops should i plant to be profitable. What will be the investment per acre? I have 5acres of land.
It will depend upon the market and investments you can make. If you have a market nearby or if you would want a buy back system wherein we buy what you grow - you can go for hydroponics. On 5 acre the cost will be approx 60 L per acre after subsidy. Approx 2 Cr can come as loan from banks - approx 1 Cr your investment. If investment is an issue you can go for traditional farming and sell produce in the local market.
