I backtracked and got the D-Arts Mewtwo as well lol! Would love to get the Kanto starters, but yikes their aftermarket.. Maybe a reissue someday, but might be lost in license limbo. I thought the problem with SHF Pokémon was each figure is unique and unconventional, and would just be too expensive to make, but Jazwares is kinda disproving that. If SHF did reboot Pokémon, what new figures would you want them to make?

But if they undersold or something I cant figure why, maybe most pokemon fans would rather get premium card packs over figures If they were to dive back into it, honestly I'd like a few trainers, Skyla and Cinthia, and for Pokemon probably the legendary cats, like Entei, Suicune etc. You got any ones you'd want sh or jazwares to make?

It was super close! Droideka scored some points for ambition, effort, and design complexity, and despite the loose qc, still does what I need it to. M Bison is totally solid, just more standard and not quite as groundbreaking.

Tbh, lowkey worried how wide the gap is between 3p and SHF this year, and it seems totally self-inflicted on SHF's part.. Which 3rd party fig was your favorite?

@@TheArtOfActionFigures it's definitely the Tonsenart Trunks, I got all 4 version of them, but I replace the head with AIR Studio Hair Sculpt and SHF Boy from the Future Facesculpt, to make it look like the Bojack Unbound Trunks.

BBTS still has her up for preorder if that's an option. I think they're the official Storm retailer, at least in the US.

Thanks, #1 surprised me too! Had to trust the math a bit, but she's been such a cool and uniquely aerial figure. Didn't go into it much, but I'm not used to reviewing stands, mostly because I don't like waist clips. So the back peg hole and stand are a winning combo here, nice and easy to balance. And I get you with updated Frieza 4. Some things I like about the 1.0 are the reasonable head size and no nonsense tail, but I think the sculpt and feel could be better. If they updated him, I probably wouldn't flip a table unless he has a goofy big head or comes before Cell 😆

@@TheArtOfActionFigures as far as I know the release order looks like this: 1. Japan 2. Asia (outside Japan) 3. United States 4. Europe The good thing is that we can often still place pre-orders just a few days before the release.

I'm glad people's caterwauling about the height (that wasn't consistent in any way in the actual source material) didn't manage to kneecap what was actually a really good figure.

I'm curious, what gives you that impression? It seems excessive based on the anime, where he looks more like Perfect Cell scale (not SHF Perfect Cell...).

Yeah the engineering on this figure is kind of incredible, but takes some serious digging to discover. And darn, that's a tough break on the ankle. Are you able to exchange or fix it? I think extra wrist, ankle, and neck joints should be standard on imports. I can understand they might not want to advertise the fact that they can break, but I mean, they can break. They're way more likely to lose customers by not offering an easy path to replace a $0.02 part on a $100 figure.

@TheArtOfActionFigures I submitted a warranty claim on the Bandi site, so crossing fingers. I've read some have received replacement parts. Aside from the ankle snap, everything else on the figure feels good, so I'm hesitant to replace it just yet. I completely agree, ThreeZero includes extra joints and a warranty card. At the very least make it easy to purchase replacement joints. I've been looking all day, and can't find anything that might fit in the ankles.

@@TheArtOfActionFigures BTW, I highly recommend the 1000 Toys Synthetic Human. If you love toy engineering, you'll really enjoy this one. The female is easy enough to find, the male is getting a reissue, and that one might have different articulate.

Thanks for your comment! Retro gold-hair editions of SSJ figures would be awesome exclusives, idk why they haven't done it. They've done some shiny and metallic, but not "the" retro gold color. Retro color palette would be cool for exclusives in general, but is Super 17 different enough to make a 2nd version? Or are there others you have in mind? Love SBC and would probably backtrack on the lots of releases I missed, but they go for sillier amounts than SHF. I'd honestly love if Bandai took a page out of Hasbro's book, scanned someone's collection and reprinted them all for like $10-20.

@@TheArtOfActionFigures Yeah, the gold hair repaints would be amazing. I'm not sure Super 17 is different enough, but I'd sure buy it, lol. I didn't have any particular in mind that I'd love to see, aside from SS4 Goku with the pinkish fur and more saturated colors overall. I hadn't thought of reissuing the old figures in a retro line, but that is one I would absolutely be all in on. To this day, I've been tempted to pick up the Goku set that has base, ss1, 2, and 3 all in one pack

Oh yeah the Perfect Version Vol 00, I always wanted that set! Even if colors are subtly different like 17's scarf here, that'd be a cool reissue or EE.

Price was more relevant before Tamashii’s SF6 reissue. Hard to recommend the SHF when it was going for $200+ but probably a closer call now. Tbh I'm not thrilled with the faces on either.

Black tank top is accurate. It gets gray highlights when he's SSJ, so that might be why it looks close to the pants color sometimes.

Unfortunately not, the faces aren't compatible. But the neck pegs are the same if you have 5A.

No worries! The GT Goku head is from Air Studios and fits directly

The GT Trunks peg is smaller, so I put a small amount of paper to hold it in place

I kind of agree but wish I didn't. Tamashii’s roadmap, character selection, engineering, and accessories are just lacking. Idk what they're doing, but I hope it's soft rebooting the line like Naruto while Daima finishes and DB rights are sorted.

Beast Deities, and there's a reissue with some changes available for preorder on 5ktoys. They're made to order like pbandai, so you really have to lock in a preorder if you want to avoid paying aftermarket.
