I love how it looks, I love the way this is printable, etc. But I never had a problem doing it by hand with my normal soldering iron, in fact... there were times where I could use my soldering iron, and I am sure the item wouldn't fit under this 'thing'.
I already have the original Press. Do I need to reprint all parts? Or do you have an upgrade instruction? Thanks!
what soldering iron are you using?
I use PINECIL in this particular video, but project has support for TS100 and all kinds of generic soldering irons with handle outer diameter from 15 - 20mm. Check "Soldering irons and adapters" section in Stealth Press 1S project page on Printables: www.printables.com/model/869368-stealth-press-zero-small-footprint-heat-set-insert (It has links for sourcing soldering irons as well)
looks like a Pinecil V2.
what are the magnets on the side for? - anything specific?
@@txwombat7826 For all kinds of accessories you can potentially attach to the sides.
Where can i find that tray you used to hole thw hardware. I would love to print that.
Is the pinecil easy to remove/reattach? Or is it meant to be a permanent part of the stealth press?

where to buy?
It's currently available in Printables.com for free download and DIY 3D printing: www.printables.com/model/1056780 Pro version: www.printables.com/model/1055738-pro Might be available via Etsy soon.
That's actually really impressive ngl
2x 120mm auxiliary fans do the job. 🎉
Dios mio como suena eso
Beautiful
Looks good
This is a very great project! Well done, mate. 👌🏼
I just wanted to let you know that your project is amazing. Printing mine right now, kudos from Brazil.
Awesome! Thank you!
Please use a metal screw and not a 3D printed one. Or some other mechanism for adjusting phone device clamp width.
If you print it flat it shouldn't be a problem
That is the plan. I think final version will have 1/4” heat set inserts.
I have been trying to order these … been out of stock for ages.. I even got overly excited when I thought they were in stock, and ordered the A1 plates
still good!!
Can you share stls?
Coming soon
Good Afternoon, are you running this kraken on 48v? Or just 24? If you are running 48v, did you encounter any incompatibility issues with the Z steppers? I’m running a Fysect kit and my z steppers aren’t rated for 48v
Sorry for late answer - on 24v setup currently
yeeeeees!!! Scalable to 350?!? Wonderful craftsmanship
Sorry for late answer - i think extrusion based project (loke original fridge doors) might be better for larger scale printer. My suspicion is that plastic version can sag. But this is untested.
Love your work! Assembling the stealth press zero right now. What is that connected inline on your ptfe tube? Is that a filament scrubber or just some sort of quick disconnect?
I have 1 bambu P1S running a E3D ObXidian HF and 2 running BIQU Panda Revo and the E3D is my go to for prints I want perfect. It prints so fast and clean, I like the Revo's due to the ability to change nozzles and they work good, but the E3D seems to be just a tad better.
My Voron SW has the same sound in the x movement when the test speed is above 200mm/s. What do you think is the cause of the sound, is it from the linear rail or from the stepper motor?
Depends. LDO Speedy Powers are just noisy on certain speeds.
Moving and printing are a big difference

wtf is this shit
oh, you went for printed version
Yep. I have ChaoticLab v1 in “museum”. As it has no ability to add optical switch I went for printed one. Thinking about testing Vitalii’s CNC’d version.
it does not sound healthy
Indeed. Something with the idlers. But that’s another challenge to resolve ;)
не будет продавливаться при печати?
Really cool 😎
Ahhhhh I want this on my regular stealthpress please
noo! i just ordered the door panels and now i get this recommended! i really want this now
How is this supposed to work? Wouldn't it just squish the filament onto the nozzle?
I think the PTFE tube is slightly higher than the bottom of the nozzle, so it only ever hits it in a side to side motion
I built one for my 3d printer the R1 version, I was checking out it wasn't what I really want but I found it was useful to put it on the wall of the printer that save a lot of space (try it out). Have fun.
How about a RJ45 port encloser/ mount, on the side, which can then be connect to a switch mount on the DIN rail?
Cool design, but I'm afraid that something will fall into the power supply. A jumper wire or something.
plastic cover will help
Gen 1 more beautiful
Cool but sketchy cuts. I would have used a dremel then cleaned it up by hand... But that's just me

Nice project! Thank you!!!
Glad you like it!
very cool
Nice. The key-bak right above the linear rail makes sense and makes the BOM lighter that's great.
Yes please
Is this an update?
It is a smaller version - Stealth Press Zero. But the same update will come to the main version as well after some time.
Oh lord, I just finished the gen1 build 😂
No worries, Gen1 will be upgradeable to Gen2, with some easy swap of some printed parts.
@@iconicfab That's great. New hardware involved ? I love it btw, it's a great tool, thank you.
It’s hard to say at this point but most likelly only retractable will change. Although I think I will make an effort to keep option for use of original key-bak as well. Just *a lot* of iterative improvements for the design and even smaller BOM.
where can I find a screw organizer like this?
Not sure what you meant. If square trays - Gridfinity, if parts tray, than this - www.printables.com/model/605838-smaller-less-thin-hexagon-parts-tray
@@iconicfab Yes that's it. I couldn't find it on my own. Thanks a lot. And thanks for the video too
Just ordered the linear slide from your printables project page (option 2). I am not sure of the material of the linear rail. I noticed the spine for the press just sits on the base and is connected via the linear rail. If the linear rail I ordered turns out to be plastic then I might need to think about adding a joint that would take some of flex between the base and spine. Thank you for the project and all the documentation!
It’s steel, both options listed. Very budget savy versions though - as I want to keep BOM with fairly accessible parts but *good enough* for the purpose.
Is it a tight seal you dont smell the fumes anymore?
I do not have much issues with ABS or ASA VOC’s as I use carbon filters mostly. But it is much tighter fit (with both “fridge door” and super beafy tape for other panels). It helps with limiting VOC’s going where they should not, heating up chamber faster and keeping temperatures more stable. I’m using 3mm glass for the front panel.
