Beautiful job man! We just bought a house boat this summer and I want to redo the exterior siding would you mind sharing where you purchased yours? Been looking and having a hard time finding a product that is lightweight and can endure the sun. Thanks in advance!
I like the frige it stands out
Coming along, really nice
Looks like a great build so far
Looks like a great time
The interior color sucks for a boat and the flooring is even worse. The fridge covering is unique but doesn't work with the cabinets The head shower came out great, but why go with a compost toilet when you could have used a holding tank with pump out. I appreciate your effort, but you missed the mark on making a house boat. I think you were too focused on staying inside. Boats are about being outside and enjoying the water. If you just want a tiny home. Buy a camper and go to campsites.
Looks Great! Thank goodness; Someone understands a 6 foot ceiling is good enough. Why have an extra foot or two when you only use it .1% of the time and having tipping and clearance power the other 99.9% of the time. I think they have solar panels that you can walk on if they're installed directly to a solid decking.
Great Job!! Those roof trusses are so rugged! All ready for the interior!🛳👍
Looks amazing ! Beautiful life. Good for you guys
I like what you did. How do you feel about the weight, satisfied?
She is a little heavy in the rear. A 50 hp motor instead of the 90 might go a long way to fixing it.
@@sawsolutionsinc that’s a good point, and you really wouldn’t sacrifice anything in power and speed. They are only meant to go so fast.
@sawsolutionsinc You likely mentioned this somewhere, but I didn't see it. What is the length of the boat overall, and the length of the enclosed cabin? Thanks.
the boat is 24 feet and the cabin is 15 feet
You've done some good work folks. The pontoon/houseboat looks *very* nice! 🙏🦉 🏞️
Love it Bro! Great job.
Nicely done! Thanks for sharing it with us. JT
Thanks for watching
Great job. Looks awesome. This is the smartest thing to do is build it out of aluminum. You have to keep the weight down it makes a huge difference.
I did my best to keep it light. Wish it was even ighter.
Beautiful Job very neat was that 1/2 plywood or 3/8
Thank you I believe the plywood was 3/8"
Nice work
I want one.😂
ME TOOOOOOOOOOO😀😀😀😀😀
Why the barbecue grill? Zero pictures of the boat to start the video
I will try and do better this summer
Doug! They certainly don’t make them that noisy these days. LOL
Ya I have a 2000w Yamaha. Not sure what to do with this one.
I just found your videos and am binge watching. I’m a year out from being able to turning my dream into reality. Thanks for sharing!
Excellent
Do the great loop with it, it would be perfect!
What is this for?
This is for winding up large bandsaw blades so they can fit in a box for shipping.
For the control cable noise, I’d recommend consulting with the manufacturer. Good luck.
Looks amazing ! Can you bring your boat on a lake? And how heavy is your boat
The boat weighs in at 5000lbs. It is road legal and we did tow it about 6 hours to get to this lake.
Awesome build! what size aluminum did you use for the roof and the walls? im currently going to revamp my house boat and make it all aluminum
Thanks for checking out my build. I used 1-1/2" sq tubing for the walls. The roof is two pieces of the same tube with a 3" piece of flatbar welded between them to make a truss.
Spread poon toons further apart for walking around,,the outside
Love this!!
You truly have the life of Riley You really did do some nautical miles on this trip
Have a big time enjoy it . That's a awesome set up. Be safe cruise on...
What hp is your outboard 2 or 4 stroke ? Thank you
90 hp 2 stroke
@@sawsolutionsinc Thank you
Hey man! just found you’re channel love the boat really nice.just subbed thanks for sharing 👍✌️
Thats lovely enjoy
Man that's what I called living the life
Hello. I live in Kitchener Ontario and would love to hire you to build a pontoon houseboat. Any interest?
Do you care to coment on how much you have invested? Looks great
About 25000 cdn
I was wondering if this was doable. It's getting tough to get an RV site at beautiful lakes without booking nearly a year in advance. And then there are the barking dogs, and neighbors that want everyone to listen to their music. I've pretty much grown tired of it and I'm looking for an alternative.
This is pretty much why I started the build. Crown land camping spots are always a mess and you can't book a good Provincial park site.
That right there is quality work at its best.Good job my brother. Will you build me one?lol
Nice frame work.
It looks pretty low in the water. First time viewer.
I love it I've been living in a camper for about four and a half years now and I've been thinking about getting a sailboat but I'm slowly starting to go for a pontoon boat something like you are doing that is so badass I can't wait to see the finished product
Awesome
I need one for tampa! 😍
What a great build. Congratulations. In the 90s I was lucky enough to experience houseboat life on Lake Nippissing with my in-laws. Your build inspires me to build one. Do you know the final weight on the trailer? Thanks for sharing.
Houseboat and trailer were just under 6000lbs
@@sawsolutionsinc Thank you. Wishing you good sailing.
Hi do u have a diagram of your electrical wiring ?
No sorry I do not. We basically just tried to have wires end where power was needed then ran them all to a fuse panel in the helm.
@@sawsolutionsinc and sorry to bother you but is your boat a 26ft by 8ft? Ive been building a 26ft house boat for 2 yrs and this spring hopefully going to finish it up. Any good info u could give like things u would have done different or must does? Thank you for replying i appriciate it.
Ours is a 24ft. Try and keep it light and low for stability.
@@sawsolutionsinc ok thank you so much
Doing anything with the top like throwing some lawn chairs up there or more solar panels?
we already have 400 watts of solar. next video will show the sundeck we have done on the roof
Nice job! Can't wait to see the finished product..
Thanks for the view. I have videos of it on the water. More projects being done this winter.
I love the build you did an amazing job. What was the overall cost to build when everything was done?
I lost track at 20 thousand canadian so probably 25
Hi Doug, thanks for sharing. We are trying to convert an old party barge into a oyster farming boat. I like your metal frame for the walls and roof. How on Earth did you fix that securely to the floor? Thanks
Thanks for checking my channel out. The walls are sitting on butyl tape for waterproofing and are through bolted. The bolts go through the bottom sill of the walls then through the plywood floor and through the alum floor supports.
