Lyrically, I prefer this version of Eva over the original Japanese lyrics. Mostly because this has more of a bittersweet and melancholic tone to it's approach to lyricism compared to the original Japanese version which fits with the theme and the atmosphere of the show a lot more than the Japanese version(Which mostly stemmed from Yoko Takahashi not knowing what the themes for the show was at the time when writing this).
The previous video of this singer and lyrics was deleted but after a few years of looking I have found another one! In my opinion this translation and this singer is the best version without a doubt. Love it!!
