Just a middle aged guy, with a middle aged gut. I’m always looking for a biking adventure. Follow along with my shenanigans and useless commentary as I make the most out of life on two wheels. Some foul language may be present.
Crashing on a Skinny log during Group Ride. Dual Views
PR Nemba fall social ride at Knifes Edge Brewing in Millinocket Maine. The Katahdin Area Trails are pretty awesome. Only 4 weeks out from the last crash of broken ribs, I gotta stop attempting everything I see on first glance.

They sure love their rock features. Hidden bonus features were scattered all through the woods. I did 10 miles sticking to the outside edge of the trail system, 1600' climbing. All right turns Betty to Archie then Hitchins Hill with a connecter across Rt 100 over to Sherburner trail. Some things were still wet from rain the days before. Riding Transition Spire stock 170/170 setup.
Slate Valley Trail Highlights

First time visiting this trail system. I would highly recommend checking it out, especially with fresh legs. 10 mile 2000' elevation gain loop on a Transition Spire stock 170/170 setup. A tiring climb after multi days of riding. Parked on Endless Brook rd. Rusty bucket to start the climb then mistakenly went farm road up to the overlook. Encompassed Harrys Hop, Upper Birdie, Lighting and Hunker...
Slate Valley Lightning highlights Chest strap view

Highlights from the chest view on Slate Valley Lightning trail. Very steep and knarly. Day 3 of riding and recording so I was taking it a bit slow. Glad I had the Transition Spire for the DH. Pedaling it up to the top was a bit exhausting. Hoping to get back next year for a better angle, and faster run to record
Killington VT Basecamp Trails tripple feature multi views

This one was intimidating, quite a drop on the side of the second rock. Having fun with the 360 and tripod.

Stanimal Visits Killington Bike Park

21 days prior, I was in the hospital for 2 days due to the Mt Abram crash that broke 2 ribs and punctured my lung. I had this trip planned for 8 months and wasn't gonna back out. We started out being careful and slow, but its hard to do when you start having so much fun! Aside from the stiffness and shallow breathing it was a great trip. It took awhile to regain confidence at speed and going ai...

Highlights from the good runs. Feeling pretty confident and in control, got too comfortable with top speed before I went and crashed on a green trail that I had never ridden before. Mt Abram Maine.

Drink lots of milk. Your bones will need it just in case. Looks like lots of fun. Epic vid.
my favorite place,,
I think you are encoding in tooo low a bitrate. Sections 2:31 reminded me of how much I hate rock gardens.
@@MtnXfreeride hmm I may need help figuring that out. I thought I had max bitrate and quality selected. It takes so darn long to extract from GoPro 360 to 1080
Looks like fun Stan and no snow in Maine yet?
Sick!
Rad footage!!! That last drop is massive
Awesome!
Trail looks fun!
I did that trail on Saturday for the first time- it was pretty slickery- I had one fall but made it down in one piece. Need a bunch more practice ! The ruts in the wet dirt/mud are a bummer but it makes us stronger! Not going to dry out by season end, that's for sure. Thank you for filming- I can watch to remind myself of the trail for next time.
You got more butt angle footage than it sounded when you said it broke quick. You should have tested out the hero 10 when you had it chest mounted.
Great footage 🤙🤙🤙 fun times!!
Thats cool. That gopro fusion sucks at stiching though.
Go Stan!
Jesus those guys are cooking.😱😱
Some of those sections looked pretty tight! Nice job, thanks for sharing your video Stan!!
That ridge line in old town ???? This looks like so much fun
Noice. Needs more bitrate though.
Classic central Maine techy suffer fest!
Sketchy at 1:20
Brass balls, but not at full 35-40 speed. Maybe next week
Sweet, thanks for sharing your Fat Bike adventure Stan!! Ride On Man :-)
Your videos are doing the same as mine lately.. snow looks blocky even when set to 1080p
Nice speed!
Smooooth
