Corrosion on battery terminals is not a sign of sulfation. They are two different things.
When you use a desulfator on a battery is there some sort of guideline of what power or current to not exceed on the battery while desulfating?
The standard charging current for a flooded battery should not exceed 1/10 of the nominal capacity. For a heavily discharged battery, I suggest setting the current to no more than 1/20 of the nominal capacity.
I wonder if there is a chemical means to remove the sulfates.
What kind of high frequency generator do you mean a signal generator? I think that's called electro defoliation
The simplest way of desulfation is a charger based on a transformer and a single rectifier diode. The ripple frequency of the voltage rectified by such a rectifier is the same as the frequency of the line voltage (50Hz).
