What did you spray on the led at 2:33?
Great mod. Terrible color.
Love the mod. Seems really hard, I built some FPV drones, but I think this pcb board is even smaller 😱 Also, your sarcasm made me chuckle 😂 However I think I will try this 😉 I think I want a UV LED, and also apply a little Lume paint to the backplate of the LCD screen. If you then use the light, the backplate will remain blue or green (depending on the paint). Also, I think a hydro mod for diving HAS to be added for 4000m+ WR. What do you think?

I'd like to see the current draw comparison.
Thanks for the video. GOnna give this a shot now. I think negative mod the F91w, purple LED, and dual LED mod.
I need to get an engineering degree for this
We are too lazy to do these steps again 😂😂🫡👍👍
Bro You have a great taten watch ⌚ replace 😊😊
Great video..thanks alot...I have Casio a850 with normal bulb (no LED),can I upgrade this old bulb to LED? Thanks again
I would pay you 100$ to do mine.
"nothing better to do or can't fall asleep"...feeling seen, immediately presses like button. 😅
Hi Mod Casio CA-53wf-1b and put Led i really like the watch and the negative display its just that theres no led light 😢 can you help me
I would gladly pay someone to do this for me. There is zero chance of me doing this and not breaking the watch, burning myself, possibly burning the house down.
dude you should make more videos !
LOL, nothing better to do and can't fall asleep. Perfect!
Would it still work if I use slightly bigger led than 0805 led?
Making Sure
Nice bro... I like it .. please give it to me ..
my f91 is done. i like it. thank you
Question my good sir, it's possible to get two LEDS instead just one for making EL backlight? I had Casio 105W and would like to emulate with a F91
I have no experience with soldering, nor I have soldering iron. Most importantly I dont have a f91w😂But it looked easy and the video was fun.
Cool
One thing I am sure of is I will ruin the watch once I open those 4 goddamn screws.
I love the humour. 😁 Great video. 👍🏻👍🏻
The new G-SHOCK modules (for example the GW-M5610U) have an LED instead of the good old electro luminescence backlight. Do you know if the LED of the new G-SHOCK models can be replaced that easily?
I just destroyed the PCB…..😂
I' 'll buy the one with the better backlight lmao! This is too much work lol!
Why type of solder did you use?
Do you know what song it is ?
Огонь!
Coolest watch ever.
Very good tutorial but one thing to do next time is have some macro shots giving viewers a better idea of what it is that your doing. Especially because the led is so small. Other than that no complaints here.
I am not gonna change the led but the video was so fun to watch so I watched whole video :D
enjoy being an idiot and messing your watch while saying goodbye to your warranty and at the same time forgetting to upgrade to a better battery...
Русский?
It's difficult to solder if you aren't very experienced , but after a few tries it worked and the 0805 LEDs aren't that expensive. And it is difficult to see in which direction the LED needs to be positioned. In the end my 15 year old Casio has light again, thanks! 🙏 👍
A good suggestion I'll give is to get some glasses that are made to magnify and only just using that to see the markings
Or can buy the slightly better watch for £17.00 that has the luminosity side to it
I wonder if you could add a second one on the other side. My OCD might break it if not evenly lit lol
The green light is a part of this watch as much as its black case, the rubber bracelet and the sounds it makes. So no, thanks.
Come mai si illumina solo sul lato sinistro ?
I think I'll take the easy route and buy the F105, W93h or W217 lol. I can't believe how bad the Backlight is on the F91! Even my old DW5600C from 30 years ago has a better backlight! Casio has had enough time to use even a slightly better backlight in all these years.
@chaseandrews9354 the f105 is slim to. I mean they're both hardly noticeable. They're both small watches.
@chaseandrews9354 I actually returned the 217h. I didn't like how Casio designed the crystal graphics also the backlight was weird.
Can the second led be extended with some magnet wire to the other side of the lcd??
Awsome video...fun watching...specially the end part...
Man why you call me out like that in the end , it ain't laziness but it's damn tough
I really enjoyed watching this useful video even though I do not even own a watch😊
Just felt sorry for the watch screen being scratched by the wooden table over and over again. Good thing there were gloves to prevent unnecessary finger smudges especially for the internals, but what about the watch screen? Would be nice to see even a soft cloth on the table for such purpose.
Not even a scratch, but thank you for the advise and for the sub, I appreciate it. <3
Old Mouse pads work well for watch work & modding of F-91W’s.
This is not exactly easy.
Yeah seems very easy, I also liked the fact that no tools needed
