Aussie Tonneaus - longterm review
Longer term review of my Aussie Tonneaus cover. Would I buy another one..... Hell yeah. It has a great cheap option that has been water tight, held its form and suited my needs perfectly. Depending on your requirements will depend on suitability, however it has been great for me and I highly recommend it.

      Robert, I leave them on the car. Taking them off and on whilst out in the bush is not recommended as you can scratch the paint. I haven’t had an issue with them coming off

    I have similar roof racks, can I ask why you mounted it to the top side of the racks and not the bottom side? Reason being is that you've effectively blocked being able to use the end point of the rack to ratchet strap something down on the roof. Just wondering if there is a design reason you did it that way? And of course this video is 2 years old now, how is the awning going today?

    • @OFFTRACK4X4OZ
      @OFFTRACK4X4OZ 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The awning is going great mate. Have used it a fair bit and it is still going strong. As for the mounting, I don’t put much on the roof apart from maxtrax so the mounting doesn’t bother me. I don’t really want weight up there so maxtrax and the awning is about it

    We're on the road towing FULL TIME and also have these mirrors on our Land Rover Discovery 4. No problems whatsoever with them and as far a wind noise goes .. Clearview have exactly the same issue. Clearview are a good mirror, but in my view they are way overpriced for what they are! Easy to fit on the Disco, just pop the door card and carefully let it hang. No need to unplug any wiring harnesses except the mirror. Exchange each mirror and fit the three nuts supplied to tighten the mirror mounting studs and pop the card back on. Takes 15-20mins per door. We usually travel for about 7-8 months of the year and then prop somewhere during the heat of summer. The hot months are usually spent in a city centre somewhere .. so I put the original mirrors back on during this period .. to assist with parking in shopping centres etc.

    I owned 11 holdens in my life and two weeks ago finally swapped from my Colorado to a Ranger. The Colorado was the most reliable car I have ever owned only requiring a single hose and a door switched replacing in 270+kms, the Ranger was back to the dealer within 5 days with a huge oil leak, then the 2nd week (this week) it had a coolant leak. They fixed it and then told me there was another leak and also said the engine needs replacing. After spending $55k I am now stuck with a shitty loan car that I cannot fit any parts to so I can do my job.
