Before soldering I would recommend putting on heat shrink then wrap the wiring harness with black rubber tape and finally black Super 33 Electrical tape. When soldering use flux on the wires 1st ( to clean the wires), then apply heat to melt the flux and clean the wire, then apply the solder.

Shouldn't you be adding lock-tight on the bed rack bolts?

Sometimes it is just the little things! P.S. The D rings were probably torqued because they are meant to secure weight down.

My biggest concern with installing a rack is the visibility on the digital rear camera is pretty much anything I go with gonna eliminate that or is there any way around it???

I heard the 12v blankets, while not as hot as the residential ones, do quite well over the entire night and use way less power.

I got a TRD off road…I take it easy on the turbo and use the torque when I need it and I do oil changes every 3 months and take care of the oil, and let it warm up and cool down

The type of people who say it's overpriced are happy buying older used trucks and won't buy a new one even if Toyota still made the same second generation taco. The 2024 tacoma, however, is exactly what the new car buyer type of person wants. There is nothing wrong with either of these things. The market for new trucks changes. Oh well, there are plenty of old used trucks out there for you guys! Lets all just admire they offer this thing in a manual still, wow!

The 300,000 miles longevity of Toyota reputations is uncertain with new turbo engines. Look at the Tundra recalls? The TRD off road comes bare, you have to pay extra for simple things such as electronic seat adjustments, so it is in the 50s after the necessary packages and 55-59 K for a hybrid. There is a reason the dealers are giving discounts and zero percent interest rate on the SR5 and TRD off orads, they cannot sell them at regular prices. They are over priced for sure. Of course those are good trucks, but you dont get the same value as before. A Chevy Colorado ZR2 with 33 inch wheels, multimatic dampers, rock sliders, 8 speed transmission, disk brakes, skid plates, essentially the same features as the TRD pro for 50K and you can select options you may want or not. The Bison Package is better for off-roading, with the most underbody protection, biggest tires 35inch, and highest ground clearance starts at 60s.

It is over priced. Of course it is better than the last generation. Of course you get a better truck than prior. But the competition gives you all those new features for much less. A Chevy Colorado Zr2 compares with the TRD pro yet it is 17,000 less. The Ranger Raptor is a beast for 10k less.

I think americans dont understand, this is world wide inflation. Honda is selling civics over 40g in europe and Canada. Nothing will be cheap again, because everything is overinflated in price. Usa is printing money, and the dollar is collapsing. Food prices are skyrocketing. You will see push for small cars.

I purchase a brand new trd sport and boy let me tell you it’s miles ahead of my 3rd gen taco I won’t lie the 3rd gen is solid truck as well but this 24 taco is leaps ahead hence why it’s more expensive.

Bought my 23 Tacoma Sport 4x2, upgraded Sport pig, upgraded audiopkg out the door for 43.4k

I really do like my '24 TRD sport Tacoma. The performance is amazing compared to the 3rd generation sluggish v6. It passes and climbs hills like there is a bigger engine under the hood.

I keep seeing people saying you can't get the 24 Taco for msrp so here's a dealer that marks thousands off msrp and is really easy to deal with. Personally after everything I actually paid well below msrp and that's in the most desirable color. You just have to shop around and be willing to fly if necessary like I did. If they would add some back seat leg room and bring the msrp down a couple grand then it would be worth it to me.

Nissan Pro 4x. You can pick one up, loaded, for $40,000.... with a normally aspirated V6. Taco's lost their 'Mojo' with this cheap looking POS. I love my 2018 Taco TRD-off road that I got with many extras NEW for $34,000. (& I will keep forever !!!).
