I use NX Studio for my Nikon files. I tried dark table but the results were just plain awful. I’ve not used the premium version of Lightroom mobile but I would say works similar to the free version for iPhone dng files.

I only need what the D700 can do best as FX, and then a D300 as DX. For me there isn't any reason to estimate 'mirrorless' without an original image but an artificially constructed one in the viewfinder instead. Colours are the number one for colour images, and intuitive, snappy dealing with body&lens symbiosis;-))

Thank you so much for providing amazing content for us followers. Do I have to use an adapter to use the 55mm 2.8 micro with the d200? I tried attaching it to a Nikon FE film camera and a little tab on the lens prevents me from completely attaching it. If an adapter is necessary, which one do you use? Thank you in advance…

Replacement NO. Does not take DNG from Leica or unstack for dynamic range or provide multi focus of two or more images to provide one photo with all in focus. For Nikon only and straight photography is really good.

Hello! Can I enable multicam mode, record it in 4k, and then use each picture in full hd format? Or will the recorded file be full hd even in multicam mode?

Comparing three cameras and basing your conclusion on ONE photo that was taken where light is plentiful? I think you should take a lot more photos in different conditions--indoor, outdoor, good light, rain, snow, desert, low light, ISO 3200 and higher, varying shutter speeds, varying the f stops, shooting, whites, blacks, grays, and a variety of colors as in the color checker or a Rubik's cube. And the photos should not be processed--only jpeg and raw. That will be a lot more conclusive than just one photo and making a conclusion that this camera is better than these other two. Video shouldn't even be mentioned as the D700 doesn't have one and you did not take videos.

I had this problem in my z6 when i use it with the ftz adapter, i bought the viltrox nf-z adapter and it solved my problem By the way the viltrox nf-z worked the autofocus in some lenses that ftz didn't worked like my sigma 70-200mm f2.8

The D200 has CCD sensor and reacts differently to a CMOS. With good light the D200 produces great files, even today.

I think that this camera has all the feature set and the quality that a competent still photographer needs. The noise issue is not relevant today in 2024. Have you seen what the new NR in Lightroom can do? These days the cameras are well over specified and unnecesarily expensive. The extensive feature sets just detract from the joy and experience of creating photographs, and turn the unwary into a computer gamer. I can still produce amazing photography with my Nikon D70, despite having D200, D800, D810, Canon and Leica M digital and film cameras. It is not the camera, its the guy who operates it.

I just want the setup between both devices to allow me to record in to the ninja v in 4k / 24 fps. Is this achievable? Or did I waist money getting the axom x?

Can the atom x cast allow you to record in 4k / 23.97 fps?

And Wwhat if I use Ninja ULTRA, can I record externally in more than FHD ? And also, didn't Atomos already release a dongle to make it standalone wireless live feature without a need of the PC ?

I have my ninja v powered on but the cast wont turn on. It is my first time turning them on.

I still have my D200, D300, D7200, D700, and D800 cameras. I don't want to sell them. Yes, the D300 is a much better camera. Before you argue, shoot with them, back to back, with the same lenses. It really isn't close. The CCD craze is kind of bizarre, if you shoot raw. Post-processing makes all of them equal for "color science". I take turns shooting with all of them. They're all great cameras.

Great insights, good photos, no background music needed. Just bought a second hand D200 from Ebay. I'm not a pro and (maybe I'm wrong) as a long time D40 user I thought the D200 would take these glorious CCD photos I love under better specs. Way expensive in Europe , though; I had to pay 150 euros shipping included and it's an usual amount but … whatever.

Id like to add that with noise reduction software and upscaling ai you can comfortably shoot at 1600 iso, denoise has made even my old point and shoots useable by modern standards. D200 is still fantastic even in 2024.

Is it possible to just record ALL 4 CAMERAS SEPARATELY directly to one caddy? Or do I have to edit on the fly? Will there be 4 individual WAV. files? Thanks

In my screen de D700 looks much better than the other 2 , de z6 looks horrible, dull and can not see the sharpness that you talk in the video.

Hi mate, Thanks for a great upload. It's very informative and presented in an easy-to-digest form. One question: Is there a way to remotely switch the casting source with a press of a button? I'm a planespotter who streams live outdoors a lot. At the moment, I've got Ninja mounted to the top of my camera rig, and I would love to have the ability to switch camera sources fixed to my tripod handle. Any thoughts? Many thanks Arek

Hi thanks for the video. The higher the mb of a camera the stricter you need to hold it still. There is more latitude the lower you go down. Infor as iso, shutter speed would be helpful. Z6 will be sharp due to stabilisation. D700 would be better due to smaller image size. Put the d810 on a tripod and whatch for no wind and then test again. Awesome, thanks.

Its funny, but 9 out of ten 10 times, the d610 is never matched image quality wise against the d700. I know the d610 doesn't possess the same build quality of the d700, but Ive owned the d610, and d4s, and theres a reason the d610 scored 14 points higher on dxomark than the d700. I know, I know; What does dxomark know about anything?

So, you're telling me I can récord 12 bit with nikon z6ii and atomos? Is that true that I have to send it to nikon to unlock raw?

If you want to do video, buy a decent video camera. Hybrid DSLR and Mirrorless bodies are a bad compromise.

D810 puttin in work!!! I shoot video professionally here recently and honestly, I'd scratch the notation about autofocus in video for either camera. I don't use it at all for video. I can't imagine how this sucker will be when it's upscaled to 4k! I typically upscale my videos to 4k because what I've previously owned(Sony A7 R ii)... Shoots 1080p/60 what a joke! I traded for the D810 which to me, is actually better at everything than the Sony so I'm moving back to DSLR for vids and photos.

Awesome comparison video, Would the D200 have a sharp image if printed in the A2 format? I’ve had success with the D700 and wanted to try the older 10mp sensor.

The latest firmware late 2023 has now made my atomx cast work property. I have to have all hdmis connected as actual live feeds for the usb to work with the atomos cast desktop software and its great. What is not fixable is how God damn fragile the connection is. If you even bump the unit anywhere including the base the connection from the battery terminal just disconnects. DO NOT TOUCH THE DEVICE OR MOVE IT IN ANY WAY and you should be good.

now you get it for 50% off btw... Still I think for most people it is not worth it. :-) Just get an 2tb SSD instead of 1tb (if file size is an issue) and you are fine. ;-)

Nice review of this great DSLR, even in 2023. However, I disagree with you regarding ISO 800 as a max. I like the rendering of the CCD sensor event at 1000 or 1200 ISO. I believe it gives character to the photos.
