I make videos about whatever I want to and people watch for some reason. New long form videos when they are ready.
The best iron lung clone, you've never played
Their Navy Is Their Doom is a genuinely good game that has gone mostly unnoticed. It is heavily inspired by Iron Lung but does a lot to differentiate itself from other games like it. I quite thoroughly enjoyed this game and made a video to share the reasons why.
Also the intro is partially inspired by the intro to pyrocynically's voyager 19 video.

I watched Aladdin recently and I have to say that the magic carpet ride makes zero sense. It goes too fast and also it may take them back in time. It's weird so I broke down why it's weird. Is this the start of my #tomscott arc? Probably not, but maybe. This is a remaster of one of my first TikTok videos I made exactly a year ago. Scary facts that you wouldn't believe (ft. SpongeBob for some reason)

Today I cover one of those dumb SpongeBob slideshows. It's a weird TikTok brainrot subgenre that involves copying and pasting fake facts onto SpongeBob slides. The entire genre is held up by 2 or 3 big accounts that pump this garbage out at an industrial level. After SpongeBob, I cover a more classic slideshow for this channel. More videos are on the way. Disturbing Space Facts that did me a concern

Disturbing Space facts that are definitely totally not fake for real this time. This one was fun to make because I am autistic and for some reason space has been my obsession for my entire life. So much of this video was off the cuff. It may not seem like it but I do put quite a bit of effort into the research side to my debunking's. Otherwise I would be no better than the stupid slideshow peop...

Get it the title is a reference to my most popular video which got like a million views. On a more serious note this was a fun video to make and I enjoy making these more analytical videos even if they get less views. Thanos' snap killed 50 percent of all life. That already really bad for everyone involved, but what if I told you it was much worse. As it turns out the process of turning 50 of a...

1:03 There is sprinting in this game, but it works completely differently than usual COD, double tapping the forward button instead of pressing L3/LS/Shift. And coupled with the different way zombies move and one-hit you in this version, sprinting and circling around them is quite harder to pull off.
wasn't the submersible welded shut? the only escape route would be to MAYBE crash the sub into a rock at the surface of the water, but the craft would likely have to fill with water before you could escape and then you'd be at the bottom of the ocean. I'm not sure what underground areas you're talking about that you could survive in, and although blood is extremely nutritient rich I doubt a liquid like blood by itself could sustain you for very long, and then like you mentioned you have no escape from any harmful gamma rays unless you were maybe underground. another thing is a lack of atmosphere, I'm not sure if the game mentions this but typically a breathable atmosphere would be visible. all in all I reject the premise of the video, I think this is a hopeless situation with death as an only escape, and even if you survived you probably wouldn't want to
"the speed of light is basically the tick rate of the universe" why am I imagining god playing around with a bunch of sliders in the settings menu so that he doesn't crash his supercomputer?
just find large black hole, and exploit the laws of physics for *almost* FREE ENERGY!!!!!!!!!!!
and then exploit more physics (specifically involving conservation of energy) to convert extra energy into useful stuff like food
what are these subtitles lil bro
It's not bleak, it's mysterious.
There’s more elements than the ones at the end of the periodic table that are completely inaccessible in nature
Is blood red because of iron content? If so, thats semi abundant iron if you separate it well enough E: of course he talks about this minutes after i formulate the idea
So the assumption is that humans have working interstellar travel, right?
If you're an edgy teenager from the 90's and you say "Eat me!" in the U.K. they are legally allowed to cannibalize you.
What about heat death?
Supermassive black holes are actually the brightest known objects in the universe. The amount of material swirling around them at near light speed makes them shine much brighter than stars.

Oh wait this mf ain’t talking about from the POV of the game MC lmao, nvm yeah the humans could live but they wanna kill each other and shit
Ah yes, under sea and no way to resurface…very survivable

I think there's a problem, oxygen and food running out before finding a place to go And limited resources available before harvesting a moon is an option You can't just "mine a moon" without the correct tools, and there's no reason to think humanity will have the exact tools for that, if planets and stars dissapeared out of nowhere, there's no reason to think they would be prepared for exactly that
Well technically speaking, if this did happen, you would still see a full panorama of stars everywhere you went, since light takes thousands of years to reach you. It would only go completely dark millennia later
2:45 That is not true. A headshot by a throwing knife is powerful but it loses its potency by round 8. What actually does insane damage is close knifing.
It doesn't matter if a planet is formed. The chances that it will be Earth-like is so astronomically small because most of the galaxy is uninhabitable. This means that we would need to make it habitable by dedicating resources that a dying species would not have. So we can't make it habitable which means we need to find it. Cool, let's try that. Oh wait, the cosmos is so infinitely large that is where we get the word COSMICALLY from meaning the chances of us finding a habitable planet faster than the universe is dying is next to 0. All of the "These TECHNICALLY aren't stars" are not solutions. The world of Iron Lung is still horrifically bleak. Everything listed in this category would require humanity to be in a good spot and currently they are using prisoners to pilot these submarines in the hopes of finding ANYTHING. Consuming the blood in the blood oceans is one of the dumbest things anyone could say. This blood comes from an unknown source, potentially an unknown species, could be carrying any level of unknown diseases. Even if it is safe to consume we would still need to harvest it, which means we would have to find a way to deal with all the creatures that are inhabiting it. Which once again, nobody knows anything about. Some look like organic fish but there are also mysterious light sources that could be anything. But even if we could safely harvest it, how would we store and transport it? More resources that we can't afford to use frivolously. Is it worth a shot? We don't know, that is the point of the game. We are doing research to send back to the home world to see if this is a viable solution. Currently, it is not for obvious reasons presented in the game. The same point above applies to "fishing" the blood ocean. Do you know why Dolphin meat is off limit for human consumption? Mercury poisoning. Slowly over the course of their lives dolphins accumulate Mercury in their meat. Tests as recent as 1 year ago have shown Dolphin meat to contains Mercury that is over 100 times the safe amount to be consumed. The creatures in this game may have an ecosystem but that does not mean that we can safely consume them. They are swimming in blood, which contains Iron. Excess Iron in the human body can lead to serious organ damage and even death is untreated. This isn't even getting into whatever that mysterious light source is or why there seems to be structure underneath the oceans. You saying that "it would look like the galaxy is still just doing its thing" is not a good point for you. If it would take upwards of billions of years as you stated for changes to become noticeable then that means that for BILLIONS of years the universe is crumbling and nobody was preparing for it to happen to them. If anything, that point reinforces how much of a bad situation humanity would be in as a result of the universe dying out. Having advanced technology means nothing if you don't have the resources to power it, the know-how to use it, or the manpower to upscale your production to the level that would be required. Just because it is possible theoretically doesn't mean that it is likely. I can theoretically win the highest pay out of a lottery with a single ticket, the chances are around 1 in 130,000,000 but it's possible. It takes 80,000 galleons of fuel to get from Earth to the Moon, now scale that up to a galaxy level. This is not a situation where you can "try things" and see if it works. Every failed venture is accelerating your approach to extinction. Each piece of space travel has to be a carefully selected and planned expedition with professionals that are at the top of their fields. The fact that we are using prisoners to man our submarines speaks to how dire the situation truly is. By the way, everything that I've said above relies on human beings being cooperative and not the fact that we would be killing each other over resources like has always (and WILL always happen) in times of scarcity. We can barely get one world's worth of people to agree that we probably shouldn't mutilate babies when they are born for religious purposes. Getting three satellite cities that could all be made up of smaller cultural populations with their own grievances to work together in this situation is next to impossible. Iron Lung is still bleak as hell. Nothing you said in this video goes against that. If anything, you've only highlighted how bleak everything is by accident.
If the idea here is to approach the premise logically, to determine how grimdark it is or isn't, then you missed an important item at the outset: stars can't just blink out of existence in the night sky, because light speed isn't instant. *This means the void the humans of the Iron Lung setting have found themselves in can't actually be our universe.* Logic dictates that the space stations were either a.) transported into the void so far beyond the edge of the universe that star light from the universe hasn't reached it, OR b.) this starless void is a supernatural and different plane/dimension/whatever of reality. Considering the apparent impossibility of everything about the 'moons' that are somehow geothermally active with oceans of human blood containing inhuman ruins and what seems to be giant fish-like entities with no ecosystem to justify their existence, b.) is more plausible. Regardless of if it's a.) or b.), you must disregard the entire periodic table of elements -- those elements won't be present in the astral bodies native to this void. And as human life is fundamentally comprised of the elements of our native universe, whatever elements present native to this void will be alien elements that human digestion can't utilize. That means the humans of the Iron Long setting are almost certainly doomed to slow starvation and cannibalism, just as the setting tells us. They could collect the human blood of the blood oceans and hunt the giant fish. But drinking blood is dehydrating, and the machinery and energy required to make it potable is almost certainly an impossible hurdle for the space stations. The monster fish are most likely indigestible, assuming such entities can even be killed, considering their apparently supernatural nature.
I think that the cryogenic was more of an afterthought to "explain" the loading between the missions
I imagine the problem isn't that it's blood, but it's mystery blood in an anomalous ocean that should be impossible, right after most people presumably died.
Would you eat/drink that blood unless you strictly had to?
I think the idea is that all large/massive celestial bodies disappeared. Wouldn't be surprised if it was all but the smallest objects massive enough to crush itself into a sphere instead of lumpy potato. And none of that changes the existential horror of "WTF JUST HAPPENED?!!!"
The ultrakill community has ruined the sam voice for me. My brain automatically conjures up a blender model of V1, his entire headlight face contorting to mimic humanoid mouth movements, his robotic voice somehow brimming with cheek and sarcasm.
farting rn
I dont think that humans have time for new stars/planets (also dont they form for a millions of years btw?) ; manpower for normal Industry; resources for long journeys to nebulas; equipment&technology to properly extract resources from nebulas/blackholes.
I'm pretty sure that comma in the title is unnecessary
It is
THIS IS SO COOL
I'll do whatever v1 tells me to do. Maybe one day it'll agree to go out w me 🤞
I will not play it. I will watch the video tho
What is the title of that game?
"Their Navy Is Their Doom", it's on sale on steam for 1.5 bucks
I would say black holes smaller than the super giants might have uses as if they were rotating and our physics are correctly a Penrose Sphere could be built around it for energy production.
I loved this game so much. Playing BO1 on DS was a wild time
They weren’t the Greeks, the Greeks collapsed as well, it was actually people from farther west

How are you going to be like you see the way the game depicts itself actually isn't how the game world would actually go because you know the way they described everything happening I don't really like like the way they define a lot of the stuff in that so it's it's actually not the way they said it was and it's actually the way I think it is and 3 minutes of my video feels like 15 minutes of literally anybody else's video because it's just me over elaborating on my very simple points where I'm just fundamentally changing the way things are literally shown to be... Oh and also they can travel to nebula's in a reasonable amount of time for getting fuel before they run out and all die. Or more realistically regressed into like techno primitivism and never be able to access the nebula so they'll be primlock for eternity
I mean, when I first heard of Iron Lung I only thought that humanity was fucked in the setting when I heard that the remaining few humans where trying to kill each other. There's natural resources around, but rebuilding industries is a gigantic task- one that certainly couldn't be achieved without a lot of cooperation. But despite the unknowable horror of blood oceans the worst part is knowing that humanity will die because they continue to wage war even when it means the end of their species.

To be fair we are given the story through a bad narrator, meaning that when they say “all stars and planets are gone” that’s the most noticeable thing, other stuff may be missing but the narrator hasn’t noticed
I love the Mass Effect music in the background!
