My Mom did pin curls in her hair. She would section off the strand to curl. Start at the end of the strand with her finger and twirl her finger around to wind the hair around her finger all the way to her head. so she would end the curl with her finger tip touching her head. Hold the curl against her head with the fingers of the other hand while she pulls her finger out. Then pin the curl to her head with two bobby pins. And on to the next curl. This was with damp hair. When dry the next day, or later in the day, she would take out the pins, comb the hair and tease it with the comb and back comb it. Mommie had the most beautiful hair!

I enjoy being at home and home is the best place as far as I'm concerned.There are other things to do besides housework. I'm retired and I'm active in my church, travel, I have my pets and hobbies and they, also keep me busy.

I feel the same way about being home. Growing up I hated being home, due to my feminist, divorced, negative mom. My husband and 14 yr old son absolutely love being home. I have never seen a happier teenager. We waited 9 years to have children so we could financially allow me to be home. Every weekend I ask the same thing, what do you guys want to do and they always want to hang around the house, play with the chickens, eat good, homemade food, sit together and talk, etc. I love making my home exactly how I want it, relaxing through my day and not being stressed about needing to do housework before I have to go to work. I told my husband when we were dating that I wanted to stay at home when I had kids and he knew how I felt before we were even married. I pursue what I want during the day. My husband always teases me that I have all the money, I do all the bills and purchasing. I'm always telling him, no I don't need that, when he tells me to buy something. Things don't make people happy!

I think housecaring should count as like you are actually working, because now … you are just unemployed… and i am afraid what would happen if we separate with my husband and i have not been working for 10-15 years.. who would take me for work then.. . I dream to be a housewife and mum but i have these concerns

Congratulations Hattie During my pregnancy I made the decision to delete my instagram and facebook account all together. Amazing how things change when you become a mother.

Aww congratulations on your baby, you have been an absolute inspiration to me. I haven't commented before but your cleaning ideas & routines have helped me a lot. I completely understand the privacy as I'm a very private person with my younger members of my family too. Lots of love & God bless you & your beautiful family from another Mum in New Zealand.

I think we all respect your decision to discontinue posting content on TH-cam as you're a soon-to-be-mother. And I think that a child should be first priority compared to editing content in hopes of earning a few extra bucks. I'll follow you on Instagram. And once again, Congratulations on your new chapter! I’ve been a stay at home mom for 25 years! My youngest is 12 and it was put on my heart from a young child. It’s the most important job in the world and I didn’t want to give away 8 to 10 hours of my parenting time to someone else. It was the best decision I ever made and I can’t tell you how much all three of my kids benefited from it. I think your personal decision to keep your family safe and top priority shows your love, protection, wisdom and selflessness. Blessings to you and your little growing family.
