blink and linkin park were the voice of 2000s era..give them all highest recognition
What will be a year ago on Feb 10th, is when I decided to get a blink logo since I turned 17! I got this august
Jerry Finn didnt produce Dookie. He was an engineer on the album.
You're right sorry about that error.
I have to admit, I’m still upset with Tom. The fact that he left the band twice, only to return under tragic circumstances involving Travis or Mark, really left a bad taste in my mouth. The second time around felt even worse, especially because it came at Matt Skiba's expense. I skipped the One More Time record, haven’t bothered to see them live, and don’t plan to anytime soon. If the band is happy and the fans are enjoying themselves, more power to them-dance your heart out. But to me, Tom comes off as a scumbag, and I have no interest in supporting this version of the band, at this point I'm counting down the days until Tom pulls that crap again.
To me this says you leave absolutely no open door to learn from tragedy, grief or pain. Turning points like cancer can really put things into perspective. That was the message behind the album. Watch the Zane Lowe interview then make a decision. Otherwise you're just missing out on a great album and chapter in the bands career. OMT was far more focused and sincere then Neighbourhoods.
Narrator just gonna dismiss Flyswater, Buddha and Dogs Eating Dogs? Don't do blink-182 dirty like that 🥴
I think listing every single demo,ep or b-side of an artists discography would ruin the cohesion and flow of the creators intention.
LH will forever be my fav. Thank you so much for this thorough deep-dive!
Thank you!
Lonesome Dreams is my favorite album of all time. As goofy as it may sound, it saved my life. It was right on time when I discovered it.
Although it wasn’t explicitly stated, to me One More Time sounds like it’s saying let’s give them one last album as a send off especially since Tom sounds like he’s almost losing his voice now. I love blink but they’ve been through a lot and a retirement seems only fair.
Amazing video! Blink-182 are one of my all time favourite bands and I'm glad I got to see them live in Belfast and Dublin in 2024
Thank you! and awesome you were able to see them twice last year!
Awesome 👌 loved the way you covered this 🎉
Glad you liked it!!
❤❤
Love this video!!
Thank you!!
Great video!!
Thanks a lot!
Brillaint, Tragedy alchemically turned to Success
Great video!
Thank you!
My fav band
I stumbled upon Nick's music about 3 or 4 years ago and I often listen to it as I fall asleep, he was a genius and didn't know it ((((
I applaud you Ben. Who'd want the fame on offer today? No thanks. Keep surfin'
I can't believe I have discovered Nick's Drake music in 2024 to become one of my favorite musicians...His music is outstanding, deep and so beautiful. Sadly today I learned he commited suicide!!! I can't believe it! This story gives me a strong message BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
Tragic that he died so young but at least he's remembered by millions. How many of us can say the same?
Thankyou for this. A wonderful musician 🌟
he was simply ahead of his time ⌛🕊
I’ve always felt Modest Mouse were “The Smiths” of the 90s. Morrissey and Isaac Brock are very similar songwriters in my opinion
We were aiming for the moon we were shooting for the stars, but the kids were just shooting at the buses and the cars.
"May You Live Until You Die" such beautiful line.
Thanks
this is a shockingly great quality video about my favorite band of all time. subscribed
Great to know!! Thanks
Ben, listeners, throughout it all there's the sea. Let there be peace🍀
where did you find the nick drake video footage of him as a child
I love Isaac Brock, I wanna have his babies 😍
His new music is terrible, wish he kept true to his sound somewhat at least
I may get recognised when I’m gone,I was bullied constantly as a kid,the same family still do it now,ive penned songs while locked in my room since a kid, went through depression much of my life with what I’ve been put through, songwriting is my only way to block everything out.
Solid air 1973 by John martyn
Elena is that one unique person that makes sed song sounds so beautiful
I hear no melancholy in Drake at all. Just a long sadness that nobody is fecking listening.
Nothing tragic about Drake. He was obviously a genius, everything he did dripped with it, ‘Pink Moon’ I think he wanted it to be about 10 mins long but you aren’t allowed to make 10 mins of music, you have to make 40 mins. Nick got it down to 30. ‘Bryter Layter’ was his one go at positivity, and everyone hated it. No wonder he said ‘oh fuck this it’s a waste of time’.
Anyone knows what preamp he used?
No one listens to more Lord Huron than me. I got my yt year in review for music and I rank in to top 0.1% of listeners.
@9:35 'The life of Nick Drake reminds us that, even when our own lives seem meaningless, we CAN still have an unimaginable impact on the lives of others, through our words, deeds & love. And maybe, this is enough.'❤
Comforting words, at the end of the video, the true value of our lives
So if we are to give props, lets give props to Nick!
Years ago now, but I had a panic attack listening to Small Things. Never had one before, never had one since. I was majorly depressed. I love the song, but it sent me spiralling that day. I think that speaks to the real soul in his music.
November 25 2024 is Nicks 50th anniversary. Rest in Peace.
Rest in Peace on your 50th anniversary! November 25th 1974/2024.
If it wasn’t for Nick Drake, I wouldn’t have discovered CGCFCE. Such a beautiful tuning.
Beautifully spoken and thought provoking ❤
Thank you ♥️
How can someone so inconsistent mess up so consistently?
Could you imagine a world where Nick Drake finally found love....and lived to make albums about love...
Its all about wanting to die and the earth embracing our demise.
He is genius❤
