That’s great. Get the book, PEACOCKS ONLY, and it can answer all your questions, even with incubating. Have fun.
This sweet baby has the same expression as my son did when he was first born and handed to me😁. It’s what is going on? Who are you? It was dark and now it isn’t!!! Just a very adorable little mini donkey!

Beautiful hens! Growing up, we had one pet hen, her name was Tootsie Roll. She was actually a class project of my older sister. All the kids got a baby chick to bring home. I think the class watched the eggs hatch; anyway, my sister’s baby chick was the only one to survive after being brought home. Tootsie Roll was a beautiful orange color and would guard the front gate. We had to leave a broom by the gate so visitors could come in without getting flogged.😂

OH NO!! so dangerous to have other lg animals in the same immediate area! at 1:30 you can see another lg donkey run almost right over the baby coming out!! almost steps ON it!! I wd put the preggie into another pen so nothing happens.
I do if I know the birth is imminent, but sometimes they fool me and begin labor in the pasture. Many times they have the babies in the middle of the night when nobody is present. I’ve never had a baby with any injuries.

Stunning baby! The color looked darker when they walked out near the water barrel. I think the phone probably auto lightened the first photo in the stall. Which one is closest to her real color? I’d guess it’s the last near the water. 😁❤️🐈⬛
She was a darker gray, then turned a little gray/ brown at 4 months.
thats a good donkey :) I always wanted to get a couple when I was younger but I never really succeeded well enough in life to make that dream a reality. You should treasure your donkey friend always

Since I personally was never blessed to become a mother, seeing baby donkeys born might have been a close second🤗. We had cameras to monitor soon-to-be moms. I set an hourly alarm, which proved to be exhausting. You know, one waits for eleven months for the birth, but when the time comes, it's nearly too much to take in. Oh how I loved our LongEars...they were my joy 😊
They are just the most precious animals I’ve ever been around.
I raised miniature donkeys for 8 years. Each birth was a miracle and a blessing 🥰

Thank you. There’s a fb group called PEACOCKS ONLY that can give you an answer to any question you might ever have about Peafowl. The administrator has written a book with the same title that has all the information compiled in one place that you can get on Amazon. This can give you the correct medication and dosages in different circumstances. It also discusses what feed is best, along with worming, and meds for different illnesses to have on hand. Anyone who has peafowl needs this book in my opinion.
You know I dont know why people think yiu dont assist an animaml give birth the faster thebirth takes place the safer it is fir both animals
The only time you need to assist an animal or a human, is if they are having a problem with delivery. There are certain natural things that occur during this time of delivery that can be disrupted if you intervene unnecessarily, such as fluid retention in the lungs, and tearing of the placenta from the uterine wall.
I don't know why people like you think you need to assist the birth. Wild horses and donkeys never have assistance and do just fine. As the owner said, never interfere in a natural birth unless its medically needed.

She is one beautiful baby donkey. To those asking why she did not help the mother donkey, when you help an animal giving birth you can actually do more harm to the baby and /or mother. You should only help when there are complications that require help due to it being a life or death situation for the baby and/ or mother. Animals can give birth on their own without help unless there are complications present requiring help to save the baby and or mother to prevent doing harm to the baby and or mother.
Absolutely, same with humans. We only intervene if necessary.

They are amazing birds to have.
There is a book called ‘Peacocks Only’ that has all the information you’ll need to raise peacocks. They are very fragile as chicks, but quite hardy as adults.

The first sign that you need to drive away parasites, in particular worms, from a horse is scratching its tail. The horse scratches its butt a lot.
