Morning ride at Fish Canyon. Beautiful trail in Duarte/Azusa, Ca. A very popular hiking trail. Watch out for hikers and don't ride on weekends when it's too crowded.

Oh man, its been a few years since I rode El-P, I use to do Brownie up and down once a week. The one lingering memory I have of El P is poison oak, everywhere at the bottom half stream crossings. I stopped riding it because I got a bad dose of it every ride even thru leggings. I need to get back riding again. Is the poison oak still bad thru this or did the fires burn it out?
It's been at least a year since my last trip to El P, and you're right about the poison oak - it's really awful there. The worst even! The SGC fires didn't reach over anywhere close to this area - they stopped before monrovia peak and burned along hwy 39. Sand fires were on the other side of the range to the north.
My legs thank you for the reply before I did this again just to end up laid up with red blistery calves, I'll stick to Brownie for now :D
last time I cruised down Troy Lee was in 2004. I remember there was another trail called manifolds.
i remember when manifold was built. those were the days

From Stewartville, you have to climb the Wall and then you'll see the start of Miners Trail on the right. There's a no biking sign.
hi, I'm new in mtb, is there a easier bike trail in Pasadena area?
Yeah, Gabrielino Trail right next to El Prieto is much easier. It's relatively flat but still a lot of fun. You may also want to try Cherry Canyon in Pasadena.

+TrailRiderMTB hellyeah man I had fun. I'm sore in all places,and my shins are bloody,but damn worth it!!! I got lost getting there,I started off from the residential area and went the wrong way getting to the trail but I found it after an hour. hopefully I keep going every weekend from now on, and I'm saving up for a full suspension.
Hey man my friend and I are thinking of shuttle riding this. Where the black van was parked is the top of the mountain right? and is there a lot of parking at the bottom of the trail?

Is there a way out at the bottom of this trail? There is a lot of construction now due to the road extension, I'm afraid to ride down there and get stuck and have to back track up to the fire road.
I had to hop the fence last time I was there, but I think the construction is complete now.

This is an awesome trail. My brother and his friends initiated me into the sport on this trail.
+goremonio Yeah it's one of the best trails ever. I've done a lot of trail work on it. Rebuilt the rock garden and made the log roller. Ken Burton Trail is now open if you go all the way up brown mtn. It's a great trail and drops you out by the dam on gabrielino. Check it out if you're up for a 15 mile ride!
Great video. I rode this trail a lot when I lived in San Dimas. Not very technical but a great place to go if you want a long ride with some solitude.

+Steve Martinez no, thats from the skyline trails trailhead in corona. You could get to troy lee from indian if you took indian to main divide road to get to skyline - that would be a long ride, and you might want to arrange a pick up from skyline to get back. Definitely plan the route on google maps or GPS if you want to go that route. I recommend starting at skyline trailhead.

Nice video. I was hike there today in the morning. Whole route was up hills from start to end. Walking hills 1 hour and 40 minitus. 2.6 miles. I bet bike is even harder and harder then walking. nice job

+Steve Martinez Hey Steve did you find it? You take skyline trails in corona - all the way up the fireroad until the uphill flattens out and youll see the singletrack going up to the left to get to troy lee trail.

LoCk LTK there are so many. This is a really good beginner trail. GMR in Glendora, or Marshal Canyon are also good.
