At 17, he also played Rusty in a 1967 episode of Mission: Impossible, where he walks across a thin piece of wood carrying sumpin' in his malf. 23 when he died of failure to keep living. 90 lives instead of 9.

Originally owned by Agnes Murray of Sherman Oaks, CA, Orangey was judged meanest looking, ugliest, most bad tempered cat in a nationwide talent contest involving 3,000 cats & won the role of Rhubarb, a millionaire cat in the 1951 movie of the same name. He won the 1952 Patsy Award ("animal Oscar"). Murray sold him to legendary Hollywood trainer Frank Inn. Orangey was annoyed when he had to affix his pawprint to his $450 per week Paramount contract. Also won Patsy 10 yrs later for Breakfast at Tiffany's. There were dozens of news articles on Orangey in the early 1950's, but I have Genealogy Bank & know some of his history from reading the old news articles. I had no idea, however, that he lived to be 23, which he would have been circa 1972.

It really is at least two different cats. The fur pattern is different.

The real name of cat that was in this movie was ORANGEY and was owned and trained by Frank Inn who is famous for training the dog in the BENJI movies. This cat lived to be 23 years old and worked in more than 500 films during his long career. I thought others might like that extra bit of info about the cat from the book... The Cat's name is Orangey he was an Animal Actor known for it's roles in movies " Rhubarb, The Island Earth, The Incredible Shrinking Man, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gigot, The Comedy of errors & Village of the Giants. He worked from the 1950's to the 60's.

I never liked this movie. The main character was shallow messed up and stupid. That she threw her her cat out in the rain like that, even for a moment, just takes the cake.

I hope this cat is still alive hahahahahahahaha. It's not tho...

I thought i was really original naming my cat Cat but then someone told me about this film

Paul tells her off in the cab saying she doesn't let herself get close to anyone. She shows she couldn't care less about what he says & in the heat of the moment proudly dumps Cat to prove her point but knows she's "cut her nose off to spite her face" as they say ie. does it but deep down truly didn't want to as she loves Cat & is attached to Cat despite abandoning it. But her decision gets the better of her, she knows she's stuffed up by being too proud & runs out to desperately search for Cat.

While I do like this movie I LOVE what you did here with the "cat clips." Very well done for all us cat lovers and it was only in these clips that I noticed that "Cat" was WHOLE!!! He's a good actor, that cat; he really does play all his scenes quite well.

I think... I may be wrong... But there was a split second when Cat snarled at Paul who was in his dog mask as he climbed into Holly's bedroom. Has this scene been misses out? I love the sassy, hostile look.
