On the Horizon
Jordan's mom was laid to rest Saturday, and listening to Pastor Aaron talk about Good Friday and Easter and all this, plus seeing the change this has all had for their family... it makes me wonder. Have I been getting the wrong message about the church? Maybe I'm not the maker of my destiny. And I'm ok with that.

Got my best friend back yeaaah. Even though Jordan's going to church a lot now, I don't feel like he looks down on me for not (like my "family" does). That's what's cool about him.

If God wants people to be happy and uplifted, why are Christians so intent on lowering themselves with dirt on their foreheads and repentance and all that stuff? Oh well I went to church with Jordan last week, now he owes me a night of Irish debauchery. It's St. Patty's Day - Time to party!

I have strategically mapped out my entire life, and my mom dying young was never in the plan. My kids need their grandma! I need her too.. I know God has a lesson for me here... but what is it??

I never went to church for it growing up, but as an adult I think it's been pretty good. The kids need to understand sacrifice and faith. In other news, Hope broke up with Jordan. Where did this come from?

This is among my favorite holidays! It just seems dumb to me that afterwards people start denying themselves life's simple pleasures. I will never understand why people insist on making things harder than they have to be. Someone explain it to me?

That doesn't even cover it, but I totally called it - Hope is not the angel he thought she was. Good timing, too, while his mom's sick. Well I will say he's at least starting to even out. Taking it well, that is.
Downhill Fast

My mom's health is really starting to plummet fast. We're now having to deal with hospice. My dad's love is really shining lately, but he just can't take care of her alone.
