Mercedes 250 W114 Review
Is it just us, or is that the most beautiful colour for a classic car? Here’s our video on the Mercedes 250 W114. A mental note for drivers - don’t sever any fingers on the bonnet, and always know in advance where the fuel needs to go! Enjoy watching!

Porsche 911 3.0 Carrera
มุมมอง 3.6K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This stunningly beautiful and incredibly rare 1976 Porsche 911 3.0 Carrera is one of only a very few left between our shores - if not the world….!!! “Following the launch of Porsche’s ubiquitous 911 in 1964, a Targa top option was introduced in 1967 and was an immediate success. Initially it featured a folding rear window but quickly acquired a fixed rear screen. By the time of the introduction...

Hope to get one soon. I am more of a w108 fan but due to the w114 being more available at cheap prices and easier to maintain I will go for one of these. An excellent classic that remains practical as a daily driver.

What an extremely annoying so called 'review'. Its a 92 year old car FFS. Not rubbish, dreadful, terrible as repeated several times in this video. Its a testament that its still here and running as well as it is. I wouldn't let you within 40 foot of it let alone drive it - not to mention the way you were horsing around in it with absolutely no respect and not a clue how to drive it. Classic car buyer my ass.

It would have been more sensible if you had been given proper instruction on how to drive a vintage car and then you wouldn't have been making the comments that reflected your need for advice.

I enjoyed that! My husband had a 1934 Morris 10 4 which he bought for £12.10s and I learned to drive on it, .something of a challenge. We once crossed the Pennines in a snowstorm and the windscreen wiper packed up so it was hand-operated - by me. The floor was full of holes, mostly on the passenger side, and there were some tense moments in wet weather when we ran over puddles - splashes up the skirt spring to mind. The passenger seat fixings were also similarly dodgy and if Bob turned a corner with his typical enthusiasm I would be tipped over. However, that car taught me how to double declutch and despite many encounters with many cars we stayed married for 42 years. It must have been love.

We're glad you liked it, Judy. That's a great story about the snowstorm - we bet you were cold that day! And good teamwork on the driving - perhaps that's the key to a successful marriage!

@@classiccarbuyer352 Hi - another Morris story, same car: we had a puncture on the moors and I was given the task of rolling the tyre down the hill into Todmorden to the garage. Another freezing day but we warmed up in the pub while the tyre was fixed. Many cars in our married lives, motor rallying in Africa etc and I still have Bob’s classic BMW2002 Touring tii 1973 in the garage. Will be in touch.

Check the suspension because that steering wheel vibrates far more than it should. And yes, the turbo lag on those old 911's can get you into trouble in/coming out of the turns.

I own a 930 Turbo, a 997.2 Turbo S and a Ferrari 308QV. All are different. The Ferrari, for running around on a weekend or just cruising the freeway, is perfection. Less angry than the 911’s and pure joy.

Here in New Zealand I've seen two come up for sale in the last 20 years, one a lovely survivor, the other was dragged out of a paddock and really only good for parts. They are a car that people seem to really hang on to they find one .
