Stevie Wonder’s “Overjoyed” for the #OverjoyedChallenge with Jacob Collier #shorts

I decided to try out this little challenge with Jacob’s video, and it’s one of my favourite Stevie Wonder tunes to play. Killer harmony arrangement by Jacob.

I'm glad I found this because I love the saxophone solo on the soundtrack. Has the classic feel.
Nice!! I’ll try to nail on guitar
1:33 this part is so difficult for me ㅠ.ㅠ
WOW 😲😲😲 menakjubkan sekali ❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful 😭😭
Thank you for checking it out.
47:47 bro, why does Emily that you played on LCsax curved soprano sounded nicer? Isn't it a sin to play Emily on a straight soprano? Haha 😂
Good question! LOL. I don't own a curved soprano, as I only demo-ed it for Saxophone Library a few years back. But, it's also interesting to know that Dave recorded a lot of the soprano tracks in his albums on an old YSS62, but plays the Conn curved sop for live shows.

I’m playing this arrangement for my school jazz ensemble, and this is so helpful! Also, the solos are absolutely amazing!
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words.
It will be back on 4th Nov 2022 at Jao Tim KL!!!!
What a beautiful music and harmony ❤
Thank you for checking out the video, glad you enjoyed it.
I don't know why numb of subscribers are so low when these peeps know how to swing and they sound and articulate way better than others
Thank you so for your kind words!
Yes! Great tune mate.
Nice ☺️!
Thanks for the video
@@JulianChanMusic you are most welcome 🤗
Beautifully Done! Please Perform the live concert version. Thank You.
Nice! Definitely a Mossman arrangement. I play bass in a jazz ensemble and we've done several tunes arranged by the same guy. It's not easy stuff.
Thanks! Prof. Mossman is a prolific composer/arranger, and I've been fortunate to study with him during my time in Queens College. His arrangements are just so much fun (and challenging) to play. Thanks for dropping by the channel.
Where was this taking place? Music store?? Interesting arrangements ! Like it 🤗✨👍🏾🎺🎶🎹
Yes, it's in a music store selling saxophones. Thanks for dropping by.
I like whatever it is you are playing at 16:00
I love that solo! Especially the version Don does on Serious Hits ... Live! RIP Don Myrick.
Yeah! That's a great solo!
Please uploaded more videos... I'm now your fan!!!
Thank you for your kind words! I'll definitely update once I do a few more.
👏👏👏👏👏👏

@@JulianChanMusic el solo de la cantante es conmovedor!!! 🌹🌹🌹 Como lleva a la sección rítmica a otro nivel de emoción es maravilloso.

Loved Eydie Gorme, And I love This. I reckon she'd have liked this rendition
Hi Frederick, thank you for checking the video out! Junji, our lovely vocalist loved the Eydie Gorme rendition and we just re-adapted it to this setup. We had so much fun playing it.
I loved Eydie: but this girl needs a lot of training.
sick drummer
Thank you! Yes, he is. One of my favourite drummers to play with in Malaysia.
Can I get the transcription?
Thanks for listening in. Like all the other solos I’ve done, I’ve really learned them by ear without any written transcription.
Yes! What a great song and memorable solo. Nice one
Thanks mate!
