How long did you work in cvivu before transferring

i spent 8 months on a open heart recovery cardiac unit. i realized i didnt really like inpatient care then left for an opportunity to work from home doing RN advocacy. it's been good but hours depend on how many clients i see, so i thought of looking for outpatient cardiology rn jobs like cardiology clinic or cardiac rehab while still doing the work from home job for extra cash. but trying to decide between cardiac clinic or cardiac rehab.

my reasons why consider nursing: - would like to have a job that give me greater purpose.. that I do something important like helping others.. money only wont be good motivator - job security.. I could move to other country and no worries about unemployment as long as study about the culture and languages - good money - work schedule sound kinda cool.. a lot free time for my personal projects ( indie game development ) things what I am concerned.. - a lot responsibility.. literally person`s life can be on your hands and it sounds a bit scary 😂 - all the bad experiences what I heard from nurses who left.. violence.. bad organizing and it shows how stressed nurses are , toxic work environment

Ughh I just had an interview for a nursing assistant position and they have openings in the icu 😫😫

Where I live anything less than $50 an hour is not considered high paying. People who work at cosco make $30 an hour, while nurses with four year degrees who work in primary care offices only make $28 an hour. Hardly seems fair.

Thank you for sharing this realistic advice! I have been working in product design but want to switch to nursing because I love caring for people but I’m nervous because I wasn’t like a straight a student when I was in school but I am a natural caretaker and just feel like it makes the most sense for me. But I do have a learning disability (ADHD) and I do have MDD and GAD so I’m wondering if this might be out of my scope. My continued learning though I’ve been pretty good at learning difficult things recently

Maddy, thank you for being vulnerable and sharing this...I have wanted to go to Medical School but something was holding me back and it was that I just get squeamish with blood being drawn and veins in general. I was watching a phlebotomy video just now and I was feeling for my own veins and I felt really faint and locked up almost. Like you shared I do feel like it is my calling to go into this field and I do not want to let these bodily responses prevent me from following the path God has called for me to do. I plan to just continue to expose myself to needles, blood drawn, etc as much as I can to try to overcome this. Thank you so much for the tips and sharing your continued efforts

I, too, am a pen freak. I guard mine at work to keep them in the family. I love a pen that writes “fat” so my writing shows up on the paper. Will have to take a look at the Zebra.
