After years as a professional bassist I settled down and began a career in the IT world now currently as a Microsoft Exchange Server Engineer. I still enjoy performing here or there with local bands, as well as doing audio and video production, since I'm also trained on large format audio engineering (touring grade). I also enjoy spending time with my wife camping and checking out other bands, so here on my channel you'll find all sorts of things from my own performances and productions to fun times enjoying life.
Our Carnival Magic Cruise - Part 1
We cruised aboard the Carnival Magic this past week stopping first at Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, then Grand Turk and finally Amber Cove where we had the best excursion yet. Mega Adventures in Puerto Plata is absolutely amazing when it comes to excursions, so we did the zip-line and horseback excursion, which was an absolute blast! That video is posted separately. Enjoy!

We stayed at the Radisson Hotel in Port Canaveral where they had an amazing pool along with a great park and cruise package for our cruise on the Carnival Magic. These are just some photos of our fun vacation, so hope you enjoy reliving the great memories we brought back with us.

Huguenot Memorial Park Camping - Our Return

We have four Chauvet 160 moving heads, 10 Chauvet 110 movers, four Chauvet 255 movers, two Chauvet P7 Geyser foggers, one Chauvet 1800 fogger, 16 Chauvet Slimpar 64 RGBY pars, four DragonX LED flat pars, two DragonX RGB lasers and two ADJ MegaFlash strobes all on Cedarslink truss and stands.

How are the neighbors at night?
Mostly quiet, but the biggest issue we had were those driving through after "quiet hours". That was very annoying.
Question - Did the sun hit the pools all day, or were the hotel towers blocking the sun during certain hours? TYIA
The center pool where the gambling is gets some sun, but is mostly covered. This pool was in the sun nearly all day with little exception and is the main pool at the resort. I hope this helps.

@@christopheroliver6215 it's likely going to be in the 90's, so enjoy the pools and your time there. It's our favorite resort on the strip!
Is there still construction inside the hotel, or is it finished?
The outside is completely done and looks fantastic and there is only one area they're still working on inside, but it looks like it will be completed soon. It's just as you pass by the big statue of Caesar to the right, but it's a relatively small area.

Thanks, Hobie. Yes, there are many attractions in Las Vegas, but our favorite was actually called the "FlyOver Las Vegas". We did the Iceland tour and it was incredible!

I was there... he sounded incredible... and the band was dead on. They've got big shoes to fill... loved the show! Im at the Orlando show right now... i like this venue better. Better sound...
Mike had that mix dialed in for sure, but I know Orlando has way better acoustics and he's mixing on an SQ10 there, which is a far cry from what he used here in Jax. Let me know how it was, man.

@@playbassken we parked the car, and saw Kieran standing outside. I said "I've got to go say hello." So cool to meet him like that. Back when i was younger, you just didnt ever get those opportunities unless you were part of the crew, or had a special pass, etc... really a thrill to be there for me. I started listening to Queensryche back in 1986, "Rage for Order" days... and never stopped :) STILL HOOKED TODAY...

LOL! Steve (Owner of Keech's - THE BIG MACHINE) grew up with our guitarist. Funny thing is he saw us setting up and we don't use amps, since my bass and his guitar are going through a fractal straight out to the PA, plus we all have in-ear monitors. He thought the stage needed some sprucing up and kept bringing stack after stack from his house until we couldn't fit any more on the stage he built us in his car shop (hence the hideous lift in our way) LOL
