Dankjewel, en dit was 4 jaar geleden. Door Corona en de oorlog in Oekraine zijn de bouwmaterialen nog duurder geworden. Ik schat in dat ik nu rond de €20.000 zou moeten uitgeven om een zwembad te bouwen. Veel plezier met je plungepool.

Dag Ricardo, een vergunning aanvragen of melding doen was niet nodig in mijn gemeente. Ik heb het destijds vooraf nagekeken of dit nodig was. Ik bleef namelijk meer dan een meter uit de erfgrens, ik bouwde geen overkapping, het werd gemaakt in de achtertuin op mijn eigen erf met woonbestemming en het is geen Rijksmonument. Dat waren toen de regels.

Dag Erik, ik heb mijn huis een poosje geleden verkocht dus ik weet niet of er mini scheurtjes zijn ontstaan. Ik heb inderdaad alleen maar stuc en verf gebruikt. Ik weet dat de huidige bewoners nog steeds met veel plezier gebruik maken van het zwembad.

The house, and therefore the swimming pool, are no longer in my possession. I have sold the house. But the blue paint was still in good condition until the last moment. And to this day, the new residents still use the swimming pool. What is the condition of the paint now? I would not know. In retrospect, I looked too lightly at the amount of work. When everything was finished, and I no longer worked so hard, I had to endure a period of physical pain. As if my body needed to kick the habit from the hard job. I would advise everyone to only start this if you are used to physically hard work and to do the job with several people, to avoid asking too much of your body.

Hello LuckyLAK17, immediately after pouring I first did a coarse leveling with a rake and then I did the fine leveling with a trowel, which made the surface mirror smooth. Hi Joshua, The paint is indeed the layer that ensures that the swimming pool water is not absorbed by the walls. With the blue paint I basically put 2 coats of rubber on the walls. The plaster is a normal plaster but was suitable for outdoor use. The primer was necessary for better adhesion of the plaster to the concrete walls. Greetings, Martin.

Dag Marc, bedankt voor je mooie woorden. Helaas kan ik je vragen niet beantwoorden omdat we het huis 2 jaar geleden hebben verkocht. Ik heb geen idee wat de status is van het zwembad. In ieder geval waren er 2 jaar geleden geen scheurtjes en de verf zat er toen ook nog steeds goed op. Ik vind het fijn te merken dat de video's inspirerend werken. Veel succes met de bouw.

Hi Andrew, thank you for your compliments. Unfortunately I cannot answer your question about the status of the pool at this time. I sold the house and therefore no longer live there. The pool was in good condition when I moved and I have not received any complaints from the new residents about the condition of the pool. So I assume everything is still fine. But I'm not 100% sure about that.

Thank you, 1 block of concrete is 20 cm thick, 29 cm long and 19 cm high. This means that the step, including a joint of 1 cm per block, is approximately 63 cm wide.

Dag Martin, Het zwembad is klaar bouwkundig, mede dankzij jouw geweldige video, en kan geverfd worden. Echter het weer zit helemaal niet mee zoals je zelf waarschijnlijk ook hebt ervaren. Weet jij nog wat de vochtigheid van het stucwerk was toen je ging verven of heb je dat niet gemeten? Het Vista merkblad geeft aan dat dit niet meer dan 5% mag zijn maar dat is wel heel erg laag. Of heb je daar niet op gelet? Groet Stephan

I wouldn't say it's cheap, but it does offer you the opportunity to build a pool as you see fit. You are in control of the dimensions and you can build the swimming pool in phases.

Bedankt voor je compliment. Ik ben niet bezorgd dat mijn zwembad zal breken of scheuren. En dat komt door mijn ervaring met het zwembad in de tuin van mijn vorige huis. Dat huis werd door een ervaren zwembadbouwer gebouwd. Hij bouwde dat zwembad op deze manier. Van dat zwembad hebben we 10 jaar genoten. De nieuwe eigenaren maken nu (17 jaar later) nog steeds gebruik van dat zwembad, en voor zover ik weet zijn er geen problemen. Ik ben geen expert hoor, maar ik vermoed dat de bovenste zandplaat, waarop de zwembaden zijn gebouwd, voldoende dik, homogeen en stabiel is om een zwembad te dragen. Het zakt dus niet (scheef) weg of iets dergelijks. Het is geen exacte wetenschap waarop ik dit baseer maar ervaring.

Hi, thank you. I do not have a bottom vacuum suction. I made a suction point at about 90 cm height in the wall. I put a hose in there and a vacuum cleaner attached to the hose with which I clean the bottom of the pool. I pump the pool empty using a submersible pump.

Hi, so far I have not suffered from cracks and I am not sure how long it will last. I have yet to experience that.

Sweet the videos are great and have lots of details I’m about to try this myself. How long have you had it build for holding water?

Dank voor je reactie. We hebben hetzelfde doorgemaakt. Ik kan het ook iedereen aanraden als je graag een zwembad wil. Als je het zelf hebt gemaakt heb je er heel lang voldoening van.

Dag Henk, Ik heb eerst geprobeerd te voegen met waterdichte specie. Helaas lukte mij dat niet goed. Het was te vloeibaar en het werd een kliederboel. Ik besloot toen om dezelfde specie te gebruiken als waar ik de betonblokken mee heb gemetseld. Ik heb mijn zwembadtrap zelf gemetseld. Dag Samuel, het zwembad zoals ik het heb gebouwd zal zeker weten niet gebouwd kunnen worden door een bedrijf voor €20.000. Je bent nu al meer kwijt aan materiaal. Alles is veel duurder geworden dan 4 jaar geleden. Een bedrijf zal er 3 a 4 weken over doen om het te bouwen, ga maar na hoeveel arbeidsloon dat is. Een bedrijf wil ook nog winst maken.

Dobar dan, ne, to nije dvokomponentna boja nego boja s kloriranom gumom.

Bedankt voor je complimenten, het is niet verstandig om een zwembad geheel leeg te pompen en dan voor langere tijd leeg te laten. Reden, als het hevig of langdurig gaat regenen kan het grondwaterpeil sterk stijgen. Er komt dan van 1 kant een grote druk op de muren te staan zonder de tegendruk van het water in het zwembad. De kans dat een muur het begeeft is dan groot. Dus ook al bouw je een constructie op het zwembad om geen regenwater in het zwembad te krijgen dan nog is het beter om het zwembad voor 1/3 tot de helft gevuld te hebben met water. In plaats van een dure constructie te bouwen zou je ook kunnen denken aan een dompelpomp met een vlotter. De dompelpomp zet je dan stevig op een traptrede o.i.d. en zodra de vlotter te scheef komt te staan, door een verhoogd waterpeil, zal de pomp automatisch aangezet worden en het overtollige water afvoeren.

You are right, in the Netherlands we say that we are braiding concrete when we attach the steel wire mats together with iron wire. This ensures that they remain in place during the pouring of the concrete. It is best to arrange these steel wire mats in such a way that they partially overlap each other. This ensures a more homogeneous and stronger concrete floor.
