Happy new years...! My 2018 was truly amazing. I have improved as a human and as a canopy pilot. Watch this video for some highlights from the canopy part! I’m not deeply satisfied with my performance - But I think I never will be. There is always room for improvement. I’m able to visualize how I could do things better and more epic. I will train to make myself better. It’s too much fun not to....

I just got this Canopy for Pink Open 2018. It supriced me so much with how much power it has. I just kept flying. Congrats to Fluid Wings for, in my opinion, making the best Competition Canopy on the market at the moment. She's a BEAST!

I improved my skills alot on the HK and learnt alot. - Did my first couple of XRW jumps - Went to badass competitions - Flew with friends - Had beers - Had lots of fun - Flew prototypes from Fluid Wings - Ups, Downs, But freaking awesome. Great stuff Timmi, whats your jumps count and tunnel time so far? I'm at 2.2K jumps and 2h tunnel time, still have a lot to learn. Currently focusing on swooping and freefly. Found out about you trough the swooping comp in Denmark. Greetings from Germany!

@1:33 most beautiful swoop that I have ever seen If the canopy gets wet do they dry it out for the next jump or just pack it wet or do they have a turn rig for the next jumps? What about the reserve, can it get wet?
Timmi what is your technique for getting such a clean snap? I'm jealous!
Buttcrack to the horizon and don't twist in the harness is the shortest explanation I could give. A powerful harness turn is also easier when you have built up airspeed!

Does those water landings require a reserve repack?
Yes sir. We opened the reserve in the end of the training camp to then hang them up for drying and eventually repack. We don't want mold on the reserve. But the reserves were surprisingly dry even after about 30 water landings!
Dang, those canopies are really small. I have a Powerkite that is bigger than these ones.
They are ranging from 67 sq/ft (6.2 m2) to 79 sq/ft(7.4m2). Not a lot of nylon!
@@timmithomsen5348 My biggest Powerkite, an old Peter Lynn C-Quad, has 8.5 sqm. And yes, it creates lift, it was used for kitesurfing in the old days.
