I thought dhw was supposed to be piped right off the primary loop.. so now all summer long the indirect has to pull all the water through the manifolds since the supply and return are the last pump in the run

hi i'm looking to purchase a home in matawan nj it has oil and tank is in basement like your video, what would be the ideal cost to convert with removal of oil tank in basement . what about gas company do they install meter for free and you would have to run pipe from meter to furnace . ac is in attic , vents are in ceiling so its just a furnace and i guess maybe replace water heater as well for a 50 -60 gl at least family of 4 (3 females) a lot of hair washing know what i mean ! plus do a line for the new gas stove and add a line for the dryer . what the rough estimate for this job?

Hello, our home has been severally damage following a new boiler installation. The company replaced my old gravity system with a pressurised one and fail to verify and inform us if existing pipes were going to sustain the pressure. Is the plumber responsible for the damage?

Do these work well with baseboard application? Any outdoor sensor to adjust temp during heating season

I thought the main part of the boiler, namely the heat exchangers,were made by Sermeta in France.

Be replacing these boilers in 10 years.

Doesn't sound like an upgrade to me. I prefer oil. An upgrade to me would be to get a new oil fired boiler. Then you have 3 choices for hot water. A tankless coil inside the boiler. An oil fired water heater. Or an indirect water heater. Definitely get rid of that electric thing. Oil burns hotter and 3X faster than gas and 5X faster than electric. It's way more efficient.

The indirect circulator should be installed with the motor shaft in the horizontal position. Regards, 'The Puzzler' 🏆

Pull out a heater and dry it out. It's the armature. The brushes on the armature are being bridged causing the motor that pulls the gas and ignites it too not work.

Not a fan of pressed fittings on a manifold. What is the pipe size of the manifold 1” or 1.25”? If you add up all the gpm flow of all those circulator loops they will far exceed the flow rate of even 1.25” pipe. That can result in noise and pipe erosion from high velocity water. Should be 1.5” with that many zones.

I just purchased a home and it smells like oil. The gas company came out and said the previous owner switched from oil to a gas furnance. The room with the furnace / hot water heater and the entire house smells like oil. I found the huge oil container under the front porch. HVAC guy came out and doesn't know why everything smells like oil. The home has central AC/ductwork. Any suggestions? Thanks
