I have a 2008 Lexus is250 that doesn’t crank or start i replaced the started and still wouldn’t crank i also checked all fuses and everything looked good anyone got any idea what it would be?
@@angelcastillo7519 Did you watch the video bro? I literally had that same issue. A new starter did nothing. These cars are getting old so the battery cables super old as well. Check the end of the battery cable that connects to the starter and if it looks green and corroded like mine in the video then that's most likely the issue.
Hahaha bro I knew it was moisture related because it’s always after rain or snow I was so stoked when I saw that you found the fix.. then you tell me passenger side bumper cover gotta come off. Of course I had to put an after market bumper cover a few years ago that never stayed clipped on so I have it all JB welded on that side lol smh.. gonna try messing around with it from the inside anyways. Thanks homie
Hey, just ran into a similar issue. Did your start/stop button light work at all when you had the issue? Mine is out, not red or green, and pressing the button does absolutely nothing. Disconnecting the battery and re-connecting it solved the issue temporarily and managed to start, but after turning it off it wouldn't start again. Another thing I noticed is the Security light on the central panel is flashing, do you remember if that was the case for you? Thanks in advance bud.
@@danieltodorov3863 Yeah my start light still came on just fine. No flashing lights. Mine didn't start at all tho no matter what I did. If yours was starting temporarily then you have a different issue. Security light flashing usually means something wrong with the security system. You either need a new fob or reprogram the fob you have.
Perfect fit!👏
Thank you for a straightforward video. You make it look simple.👍
If you loosen the bracket that is bolted to the motor it is easier to line up on the motor mount. There are three of them.
You are the man! I did exactly what you said brother and it came out and went back in with no problems at all. Bro you saved me a bunch of money and i just wanted to let you know thank you.
Hi Jedi, I have a 2011 Lexus IS 250 C convertible. Will these work on the convertible? If not, what would you recommend? Your video is awesome by the way! Hope you had a merry Christmas! Jim
@@JIMNGLENDA Merry Christmas to you too. I haven't worked on a 250c so I'm not too familiar with the struts on those. Only advice I can give is take one of the struts off and go up to the store to compare the length to the same part in the video. If they match up then they should work.
Thank you very much!
did anyone lose Power steering p/s after replacing???
@@SirLuke007 You forget to reconnect your electric power steering unit lol
@ no haha, it’s kind of hard to miss putting the module back under the battery. i thought i messed up and took it apart and reassembled it again. the light went off for half a day then returned.
@@SirLuke007 Sounds like a defective unit then. You need a diagnostic scanner if you're gonna be doing your own repairs.
@ do you recommend a specific one like tech stream for lexus or a basic one?
@@SirLuke007 It's whatever your budget can afford. I do this for a living so I have a Icon T8, but for someone just doing DIY in their driveway I wouldn't say you need to spend that much. They have good $300-350 scanners at Harbor Freight like the Zurich ZR15.
Hello sir, great video. Can you please kindly tell me the brand and bulb size of the DRL and FOG bulb? Much appreciated.
This was a customers car I did years ago but I believe the fog lights are H11 and the DRL is 9005. If you just take your bulbs out there should be a number on the back so you can see for sure. As far as the brand you can pick whichever one you want. eBay and Amazon have huge selections. Don't get the super cheap ones because they don't last. You don't need super expensive either lol
mines only got 60888 miles and its giving me the same codes

Thanks, Dude! You just made the replacement of my alternator much quicker
If you got an 18 inch extension, and an impact, you can get the second / rear bottom bolt thru the driver wheel well. Tire off of course. Only reason I had it off is cause I just got done taking off the trans mount.
Why did you change the shaft ? What was the problem?
@@JavadTalebi-y7w Customer said there was a random metal tick noise at times. After replacing he said the noise was gone. Me personally I thought it was the wheel bearing lol. The noise is gone so that's all that matters.
This was very helpful.
Where do I get those? Can you put a link in a description please?
@@01iverQueen Orielly auto parts. I mentioned it in the video. You can also get them off eBay most likely.
When you say "171 is the driver side" why are you pointing to the passenger side? I'm confused
@@jessemoses1211 Gotta watch the whole video man. 0:33 seconds in the text explained the correction.
@@Jedi_Luke lol I kept going back and watching which side of the vehicle you were on then closed it.
@@jessemoses1211 No worries. Gotta watch the whole thing to get all the info 👍
Bless you!
This helped me thank you 😅
This only part I always get confused with, which way to I turn the ratchet while laying down to break the nut loose, cause I think im tighten or not don't know
Im also getting 171,174 but im also getting 133
@@51oh_cxleb Those are the same ones I got as well. Usually when you get those there is an issue that affects both sides of the engine. For example intake gaskets, fuel injector O-rings or MAF sensor. In my case it was the intake gasket. You should fix those 171 & 174 codes first because they might be triggering the O2 sensor to give a bad reading.
Are you still getting the codes for it or did it go away once you changed the o2 sensor
@@parisramos5431 It ended up being something else. I never got O2 sensor codes. I got system too lean codes for both banks.
Was it very hard to put the new actuator on? Did you have to remove the glass window?
@@denniskeirle752 Wasn't super hard, but then again I do this for a living. Yes you will have to remove the glass, that's the easy part.
It looks like that part can be found for 20 bucks online. Is that the wrong part? My door is doing a similar thing where it has normal power, but it doesn’t latch shut when I close it.
@@gabrielkreider9945 If you are talking about the part I needed in the video no that's not $20 unless it's broken lol. Cheapest I saw was like $100 for a used one. They are like $700-800 new and that's if you can even find a new one. These doors are over engineered and top complicated. I plan to sell this van and get a 2011-2016. They have much simpler door mechanisms and actual aftermarket parts support. There is no aftermarket replacement for these 2004-2010 models and that's the biggest problem.
My vehicle system dnt switch to AUX anymore..all other mode comes up Radio mode, Cd but the AUX wont come up..any one with an idea please and what can i do.
@@oluwagbemigajonathan6820 Aux port failed. When you plug in a aux cord and phone it should switch automatically
Thanks brother
Thanx for this video.
Had a p0430 code that came and went. Changed these 2 oxygen sensors and after the car started and sat for a while, the RPMs began fluctuating while idling and driving. I only drove for a few minutes and it seemed to smooth out but still a slightly surging idle. Is this due to the ECU resetting itself after disconnecting the battery? Or was my new O2 sensor no good?
My uncle has the same vehicle and he has the alternator bracket break on his.
I got code p0172 System too rich bank 1
❤can i change my 02 sensor before it goes bad??
@@BonaRasmey Yes of course
Great video. I feel like I'm ready tackle this.
lol probably why my 03 Pilots steering wheel moves like hell when i go over bumps
@@malachichanthasena8002 It's exactly why. Once I changed mine, the steering was tighter and more responsive. The parts aren't expensive either.
Hello , I am driving the 2007 Lexus 250 IS very excellent comfy to drive. On breakdown now , was overheating, replaced all cooling system radiator and water pump, thermostat. Top and gasket sets, valve and seats, very expensive. 😂😂 I cant swoop her really .Thanks for advising. ❤😂

What is the sign of bad motor mount? I took my car to get my brake changed which I know I can do it except for tiny screw they hold the disc. Scared to strip it. Anyway shop mentioned I need motor mount. Maybe u can guide me before I let then do the job.
@@eugenegutierrez5106 Bad mounts will cause a vibration during idle and a jerk during transmission shifts.
Your video about the MDX blower motor describes a problem I have with my 2001 MDX front blower motor - mice build a nest in it and leaves collect in it, requiring a frequent clean out. The blower intake obviously does not have a screen designed to prevent mouse and leaf access. If you have installed or plan to install a screen to solve this problem l would be very grateful for your sharing a DIY solution ! Thank you for your inspiring contributions!!
@@falcon7679 Yeah unfortunately that's a problem with pretty much every car. That front screen is tricky to block because you would have to remove the dash to really access it. No matter what you cover it with, rats and mice and pretty much chew through anything. You would have to weld a rebar cage over it, but then it would restrict airflow. Cleaning the filter from leaves is just a part of maintenance, but there's really no fix for rodents other than putting some type of repellent in there.
You just saved me $200! Any filters you recommend?
@@amandasesumi1431 if you have the budget, the K&N filters are great because you can wash and reuse them vs buying a new one a couple times a year.
