Interior Design Trends in 2024 (based on the News presented at iSaloni Milano)
Every year during the Milan iSaloni Internation Exhibition, we encounter the best producers worldwide and witness the most refreshing news from the industry of design, a platform where designers and brands showcase their latest creations! These news are interpreted as “Trends in interior design”.
Here are the key trends you can expect to see in new projects of interior design from 2024:
• Warm neutrals, earthy tones, and natural greens: leading design brands are embracing warmer neutrals like beige, ivory, green, and rich browns. These colors create a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
• Blue shades are making a significant comeback, from sea-inspired hues to more saturated tones. This color aims to bring a calming and serene vibe to interior spaces.
• Dopamine décor, meaning creating joyful, vibrant spaces, using bold, bright colors to infuse a sense of happiness and playfulness.
• Leveling lighting sources to create not only functional, but also aesthetic lighting.
• Incorporating various textures is key for adding depth and dimension to rooms. A mix of materials like wood, fabric, leather, and stone are used to create rich, tactile environments, where the eye loves to travel around and explore.
• Statement stone slabs are used as accent, particularly natural marble and quartz, often proposed for countertops (kitchens and bathrooms), but also on tables, cabinetry, small coffee tables, etc, adding a luxurious and timeless quality to interiors.
• Furniture with organic shapes and flowing lines is gaining even more popularity, offering both comfort and visual appeal. This trend emphasizes soft, curvy designs that create harmonious and inviting spaces.
• Interiors with character and authenticity are crucial, with a focus on vintage finds, artisanal craftsmanship, author pieces, and unique decor that tell a story and add personality to homes.
• Sustainable design, where designers and producers are focusing on long-lasting, eco-friendly products and promoting recycling and renewable resources. Furniture pieces in glass are becoming more popular (since this material is 100% ecological and recyclable).
• Fluted designs especially on cabinets, vanities, but also fluted shapes on beds and other pieces, a little futuristic and unseen before. This detail is becoming a common feature in modern interiors.
These and other particularities we have seen during the Milan iSaloni Fair, the most important exhibition from the industry of design!
My best wishes,
Nadiya.

Design Objects - The tables Gheo by Emanuele Missaglia
Thank you, Nadiya! I was reading a book about furniture design and the UP series popped up. I haven’t heard about this series before.
Wow! That is amazing! Most feng shui sites recommend to amplify the bathroom with the element it is in, for example if the washroom is in the south then they recommend to add more red colors. This is complete opposite. I heard something like that before that you do not need to energize the toilet. Very interesting! Can I use wood decor like bamboo toilet seat and green bathmats to suppress the element of the earth in my northeast bathroom then? Thank you for the great video!
Hi! Sorry for delaying my reply...These last months I am very much absorbed by studies (next weeks will to take the exams for a full-time renovator), so I slowed down with publications and repplies on TH-cam... Nevertheless, back to your question: yes, you can use towells in green (the shade that you prefer), moreover, add some tall green plants (if you have space and natural light, the plants must stay green and healthy); if you are into a more radical changes, I would suggest change tiles with something of a green color or paint a wall in a green tone (I love those dusty greens, like pistachio or even olive green). If you need a more specific advise on collections, write me an e-mail, so I can reply to you directly. And most important for bathrooms (particularly), but it is a rule for the entire house: keep it clean and fresh. Best wishes, Nadiya.
@@nadiyadellpop_metropolitanme Thank you so much for your reply, Nadiya! I will definitely shoot you an e-mail. Do you provide paid consultations on feng shui designs? Im remodelling my kitchen and front entrance.

Sehr gut das wieder Videos kommen von dir 👌😎
Thank you for watching @reposstellar really appreciate it! It has being a while since I've posted las time, indeed, I was quite busy with studies lately, plus my day-to-day working as interior designer (and I love doing it both, just it takes most of my time). I hope I'll manage to be more regular )) With my best regards
Thank you for this video. But you could and should really have mentioned that this chair is from The Netherlands. Gerrit Rietveld is Dutch and the primairy colours were added by him because of his involvement in Dutch art movement De Stijl. De Stijl was founded in The Netherlands by Dutch painters Piet Mondrian and Theo van Doesburg. This Dutch artistic, furniture and architectural movement was a major influence on the German Bauhaus movement and literally every 'modern' art, furniture and archtictural movement in the world that came after it. Your video would have been better if you only mentioned any of these facts shortly.
Indeed, I could tell more about The Movement, which lead to the creation of this design object, which is the expression of this movement. I will do so in my next videos, thak you for the advice and comment. WIth my best wishes, Nadiya.
Thanks for your video! I just bought one and I’m excited to get it in my home and style it. Thanks for the in-depth review, very informative!
My bathroom is in the NW, which is my relationship area .. there’s a ventilation fan ( always on ) & small window in the bathroom ( never opened it ) The sink is on the NW wall The main bedroom door facing the bathroom door How can I correct that ??!
Hi! I think I've overlooked your question, so sorry... Better latter than never, so I will answer you now, hopefully it will be useful to you (or others, whome are in your situation and reading below). NW is governed by metal, so choose a rounded mirror on the wall (even better with golden or silver frame) and a white sink, with faucets in chrome or even better in some golden finish. But the main problem that I see here are the doors facing each other (the bedroom door and the bathroom door): 1/ most important - do not place your bed in between the passage of these two doors, find a place it is aside (if you want me to show where would be better positioned, send me a sketch of your room of a photo, by mail, I will reply to you with analysis and options), 2/ keep the door of your bathroom closed at all times (and the bathroom clean, ordered, and refhesed). For more specific advices, I shall see the ambient and the size/shape of the room to be able to give you other advices on how you could improve your situation. With best regards, Nadiya.
You got your timeline very wrong: Gaetano Pesce was so lucky to learn from the great masters Carlo Scarpa and Rogers, he surely never taught them.
You never have the product you’re reviewing. Spend some money, lady.
what
Dear visitor, Foremost, thank you for your time watching and commenting. And let me assure you, that in my work as interior designer, I have the chance to test upclose and see many products for home, especially furniture, lighting, and dcorative objects of all kinds. Even though, I do not have the product now to show it in the video, all the products I review on my channel I am very well familiar with. I would never reccomend products I do not know about or that I do not retain are valuable. The purpose of my videos are to inform the public about best products available on the market, explain how they0re made, poit out their utility, so that common people can make a better and conscious decision when it comes to investing in restyling your home of acquiring some new pieces of design. With best regards, Nadiya.
Louis Paulsen is Danish, not Dutch. Denmark is not The Netherlands...
Dear visitor, I feel quite embarrassed...sorry. Since my native language is not English, sometimes I do such mistakes. I am better at writing than talking, here I am still learning, hope with time I will get better, and make less/no mistakes. Tank you!
Thanks - really helpful video
thank you for such short and at the same time informotive video
love this video
is this Husk armchair comfortable? a lot of designer armchairs are NOT...
Hust is truly a beautiful and very comfortable design model, I confirm that! Moreover, there are several variants. For maximum comfort, I would recommend the chair with a swivel base and armrests P4G or the P4GC (with hard leather back) at dinner tables, while for relaxation I would suggest the armchair with high backrest and an extra-large back padding support, the H3M. Enjoy! Yours faithfully, N.
Cassina makes a version with Cushions?..Sacrilege!.. Gerrit Rietveld himself stated "Sitting is a verb".. you don't want cushions in that chair. i have one myself.. and i don't want cushions as these destroy the "lightness" of the design!
Dear Jan, indeed this model was meant to be structural, linear, clear... However, many Iconic Designs (particularly from the last century) were "updated" in the last years, with OPTIONAL accessories, like a sitting cushion for this chair, to meet customer's exigency for upgraded comfortability. It was not meant to "ruin" the original design, but keep the "old" and add some "new". Yours faithfully, N.
Great video
Thank you! I am glad you liked it. Keep in touch, soon will be new content: the world of design objects has always something inspiring to offer! ))
Great video
Thank you! Wish you a great day.
Always nice to listen to someone who likes Mackintosh, but he's Scottish not English.
A great design is always great, no matter who and where invented it! And this one is ICONIC! 😉
