Hey mate just wonndering what your go pro set up is for riding, heard sometimes they overheat especially in the australian heat, looking to get a 10
@@wrjackhartley Hey mate I have a few different set ups on the go pro just for lighting sometimes it’s overcast so I have the EV comp different but I normally run it on 5.3k resolution and the frames at 60 so I can slow it down and it doesn’t jump, then have the lens on superview and the hyper smooth is on. Change the ISO max to 1600, white balance to auto and that’s pretty much it. I do find it runs out of battery faster when it is hot but I carry 2 spare batteries with me normally get around 1 hour from a battery. I also bought the largest SD card I think it’s 256G as the higher the resolution the more space gets taken up. I have a hero11
@@TheMotoGarage_ thanks heaps
@ If you need help again bro give me another message and I’ll try help you out
Nice work mate, looks so sick under lights!
Thanks mate it was heaps of fun riding under lights for the first time, hopefully they do it again next year
Awesome stuff Cam well done mate
Cheers steveo
Often kick off here then chuck in Basswood,Middle earth,Monkey gum,Penda then Crackenback and across Nerriga road to the southern end of Hacks highway then across to Pillion up Monkey gum to Double Trouble and up the powerlines back to the car at south Deans Gap road,Awesome loop that.
Nice work mate
Know to install the blue button on the wr?
Plugs into the harness on the left near the radiator. Should be a cap on it that needs to be removed
What number GoPro you guys using?
We use hero 11
0:48 Have just had the 4.0 fitted to my 2023 WR250F.Thanks Brisbane Dirtbike Services and after 2 days on the bike I have to say that as a 63 year old retired bricklayer with a worn out body it’s awesome.Had a bit of “hunting” after 5 hours as the idle speed had climbed up a bit but was easily fixed with a little adjustment at the idle screw. But am getting that “grungy”noise at times when taking off.Have you got an answer for this or I’m thinking if we both have this it might be normal.Doesn’t bother me too much and only happens sometimes.
Our WR250f still makes the noise we have ridden probably 5-10 hours on it and it seems to be fine
@@TheMotoGarage_ My mechanic at Brisbane Dirtbike Services is a bit concerned about the 'grunge' noise and vibe and is looking into it and hopefully will have an answer soon.
So I have had my mechanic Liam Beverley look into the noise and he has contacted rekluse and the noise is normal for this bike setup with the rekluse.
@@TheMotoGarage_ Okay.My mechanic,Brisbane Dirtbike Services did the same and got the same answer. All good then. It's a shame as it's a ugly noise but good to know no damage is being done.Liam did the top end on my Husky 250 and was servicing my 2017 Yamaha for a couple of years which was not much of a earner for him.Didn't even need to adjust the valves in 11 000 kays.Easy kays true that.
I bought a 2023 250f that the owner had bought for his wife that after 3 hours realized it was too much bike for her.Lowered and full Akra system.Iv'e put on the G2 throttle tamer which i used forever and helped heaps with flameouts and throttle control in the rock gardens.Rode for 4 hours at Glasshouse last week with no flameouts and a handfull af stalls.Pretty happy but am still getting a Rekluse installed next week.63 year old bricklayers hands are struggling with the clutch on long rides.Have ridden a few mates with Rekluse and was pretty impressed. Can't wait to get back to Wandy to test it on home tracks.
I’ve got a 2023 250F wr also love the bike it’s exceeded my expectations I’ve got about 175 hours on my bike now with 4160 km . I didn’t have to do a thing to my bike except some hand guard , decals one new tire so far on the rear I used the Dunlop Mx 34 hybrid gummy I loved the Mx 33 it got lots of traction in the kinds of places I ride . I’ve have done the first valve inspection everything is perfectly in spec still I really don’t ride my bikes to abuse them I’m hardly over 10 to 12,000 rpm and that’s only on the dirt roads logging roads and fire roads we have up here in northern Ontario Canada. Yha I don’t think I’d like that recluse clutch sure it has its place maybe when I’m older and need it I’ll get one but right now it’s the whole reason for riding bike for me that feeling of a clutch and throttle in my hand .
Jesus, 175 hours and the valves are still in spec, I got my first high performance bike ('20 wr250f with 40 hours) and I love it, knew yamha were reliable but didn't know this reliable, still runs perfect? All I need is a new lithium battery because the guy I bought it from let the stock battery die and it takes like 7 cycles to start cold now
These races look hella fun and hard! I’m 14 and want to start doing the off road championships in the junior class. Just about to get a 250 4t soon, should I get something with harder suspension like the wr250f you have or will a bit softer be fine. Also where do you start like getting a race number and stuff, I might start practicing at the macleay enduro track in kempsey
Any 250 4t would do to race you can always adjust the suspension of the bike you have for the track you are riding. About racing you have to join ridernet online and become a member of a club that is hosting one of the rounds. You have to do this for all racing in Australia, plus you will also need a MA license or a day license to race in one of the events. NSW off road championship have a facebook page and they post when the races are coming up on there. The next round is up at Kempsey on the 17th 18th of August if you wanted to come and watch or race up to you mate I hope that helps, I might put up a video of how to join up on ridernet.
@@TheMotoGarage_ Thanks so much mate, might be looking at a 2019 yz250fx these school holidays, def will be there to watch at least.
flame outs and a jerky off idle is the wr 250 real issue between the trees more fun than a KTM out in the open but as soon as your on and off the throttle is the slow stuff the ktm wins by a long way. the app only helps so far and does not fix the issue which is a bummer
I’m glad he’s going to be okay prayers .
I’ve got the 2023 Wr 250f I got the competition ECU with it’s ccu I didn’t do the air box yet I fabricated my own gytr race baffle because it’s not available here in Canada wasn’t hard at all I’m one year into riding my bike now and love the thing 3000 km maybe 93 hours now I think maybe less I haven’t looked in a while but I ride like almost every day. Mostly single track bush stuff some times fire roads together to the next trail . I really want to get a full exaust system soon but I just changed the stock tire to a Dunlop mx34 dropped to a 48 rear tooth, I think maybe that’s going to be to much I’m going to buy a 50 next week I’m also just now pulling all the bearing to grease them up . As when these bikes come from the dealer they do not have enough grease in the bearings with in two to three seasons they will be finishes
Good to hear you enjoy the WR they are a great bike and you don’t need to do much to them for the bike to be comfortable
Almost had you there, good race man
Thanks mate good racing, hopefully see you at the next one
Fkkn Awesome Cam no.☝️. Very slippery
Super slippery was a fun track though
Braaap braaap whoop whoop, up The Moto Garage! 👌🏻
Yea the L-dred
Good to hear your mate is OK. The dust was insane, we had a team from Canberra and I went out on the 2nd lap and couldn't see a dam thing 😅.
It was crazy how dusty it was hopefully they get some rain before the next one 😂
I’ve got the 2023 also what a bike wow I love mine the throttle take a little getting use to while in technical stuff but Awsome bike in my opinion
It’s an awesome bike, the technical stuff we have seen it flame out but we have just put a larger air box on it and changed the mapping so hopefully that helps out. I will let you know what we think on the next ride we do.
Just got a 2020 and holy hell is 1/2/3 barky off the throttle! I need to get used to it as well. Any recommendations? G2 throttle tamers? OR, does it need different mapping?
I feel like the standard Map on the WR is almost the same as the YZ, probably needs to be tamed back abit. ill have a new video up next week and I can show you the new map we loaded onto the WR hopefully that helps.@@TJTodd604
Thanks! I will subscribe and look forward to that vid! Can you explain HOW you adjust the map settings and what you need ?
Awesome trail that one you blokes were flying thru there, hows the stick in the chain 😂
It took us about 30 minutes to get the stick out of the chain 🤣
@TheMotoGarage_ yeah i got stuck with mud one time 🤣🤣
Tractor rides are always fun 😂hopefully the bike keeps going for the next one
Nice video spewing i was working that weekend looks like i missed a good ride 😎👍
Yea mate it was a great weekend, hopefully you can make the next one
Cool concept 🔥🔥
Thanks mate
Awesome day lads thanks Cam
Thanks for the help with everything Steve glad you could take it home
Absolute mad dawgs to ride with as always
Good to see I'm not the only one!
Tough going mate , great watch 👍🏼
Thanks mate glad you enjoyed the video
Awesome!!
It just sounds an looks so beautiful
I wish we could have had a go on the seniors track, looks sick. Great riding!
It was a good track, pretty hard and fast the juniors would have loved it.
Thanks for that Cameron
I have plenty more old videos I will put up one day soon
How was highway to hell? Always wanted to ride it but unsure of condition after fires haha
The trail is alright there is one section going up to the bottom of the escapement that is challenging, coming from the left line I think it would be easier to get momentum up the hill as the ruts in the middle of the trail are hard to get out of
@@TheMotoGarage_ sweet
I know you" your that guy that is always wearing polk salad around your neck. get you a bicycle and ride it a little couple of times each week and hit the gym couple of times each week get you some crime to put on the self. If you are getting chrome now leave it there. , but if you want to create skill and talent? get that ass of that seat. You need to get the right size something that fits you. because that bike istoo big for you.
looks like some good tracks!
Some good tracks mate, some others are getting overgrown but always good fun to ride
hahah fukn cyclists, cant even get away from them in the bush
Cool video its a great trail 😎👍
Thanks mate
