Yeah my black 59 impala don’t hop like the 64 straight out the box but they say it’s the same chassis I’m gonna swap chassis and see what happens 🤷🏻

I used to build my own back in the 90s lol all from scratch . A little rc car motor some Bobbin pins fish string , weights for back (Pennie’s) . He would put the motor at the very back inside and then run the fish wire to the front axle. You had to be really precise with the cutting. You’re right I would’ve had a blast with this as a kid.

If anyone dropped the ball it's the designers at Redcat, based on how the website reads Redcat just purchased licensing to call them Daytons. It's like the Pegasus wheels always being oversized for 1:24/1:25 models. To me J's wheels look more realistic and not so toy like.
