I was 15 and my father also heard of the 38lb brown that was caught there. One of the best times of my life and made it back a second time. Caught my biggest rainbow around 5lbs.Planning on taking my family this summer.

Growing up here and fishing here on both rivers. U dont think we are better than other places to fish. Just home here. I do some fly fishing. I like fishing a tiny jig on an Ultralite rod. U know where to fish on the river. Catch your limit of crappie. And some nice small mouth. Right before dark. With a jerk bait. U better hang on. I live 5 minutes from where . The 2 rivers run together. G&F are Proposing to prohibit the harvest of trout other than rainbow trout. 30 minutes after sunset. To 30 minutes before sunrise.

Off to the White River in a few weeks! Cannot wait.

Honestly, my sons and I were already going to fish in north western Arkansas this June before we even found this video. I shared this with them and it really built a fire under our butts.

I moved to Mt. Home Arkansas from the PNW. Avid fly fisherman back home..I've been here over a year and still haven't been.

We're gettin' a little bit loose with the term "movie", and calling it a full movie while being 35 minutes is almost funny 😂 On a positive note, looks great so far!

This was a wonderful film showcasing the area and the passion some have for fly fishing. I am a flatlander in central Tx teaching myself to fly fish in hopes that i can be proficient enough to give it a go when i take my family to your area in the coming July. Really cant wait to see that beautiful country in person and experience it for all it has to offer

My family and I just moved to Bentonville. I’m wanting to get back into fly fishing after a 20 year hiatus, and would eventually like to teach and take my boys when they’re old enough…any tips on where to go relatively nearby? I don’t have a boat and would prefer, if at all possible, somewhere within an hour drive that isn’t overwhelmed with other people. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I really enjoy fly fishing at these wonderful places.

Having been an outdoor sportsman my whole life, I have hunted many species in many states with both gun and bow, however when I want to go fishing I've never felt much need than to go beyond the Ozarks I was born and raised in because in my eyes it's the perfect fishing haven here.

Hello, I am a father of three boys, we all want to learn to Fly fish. What would be the best way to start? I would go buy gear if need be, I just don’t want to get turned in the wrong direction, I want to make this something my boys and I can do forever as they age. Maybe help build a lasting bond for them in the future Looking for advice

A wonderful film. Well done. It looks like you have a lot of small planter bows in your river system. When I think of the White River, the stories of massive Brown trout and big streamers come to mind. Glad to see that reality offers more diversity than just hunting big fish which can be a feast or famine undertaking.

It tickles me that there’s actually a documentary about my home river. living in norfork and it being such a small town stuff like this just makes me smile

I grew up in Santa Barbara CA. Left there in 1989 with a college girl for Arkansas. She's now my wife ... 30 happy years. I go back to Santa Barbara on occaision. Get asked where I live and get laughed at for my reply. But I just smile. Arkansas is drop dead georgeous and I ain't leaving.

Good management is the best solution I wish the Bow River management would get that! We have catch and release 0 retention but there are other neglected practices that could be easily implemented to get the kind of benefits you guys and gals are enjoying! Well done!!!
