I watched with great interest...
It's amazing that a string of digital data could sound vaguely musical. Is that because the Krell Machine may have processed the raw data, and transformed it into something that may have some aesthetic quality (at least in a Krellian sense)? You were lucky to have captured this rare form of 'sonfication'.
Indeed. I managed to extract and analyse the data stream from the Ancient Krell Machine. I performed ARIMA time series and Fourier analysis, least squares regression Markov Chain operations. While I could see (and hear) occasional bursts of sonic output, I could not match this. It's almost as if the Machine can operate in a mode where time is split from a single stream into an infinite array, which can be reassembled at will.

I'm glad you liked it. I've got some ideas for some new patches, but real life has reared its ugly head and needs attention.... The Krell machine still murmurs to me so perhaps I'll burn the midnight oil soon.
Listening to this, Iwas transported back two millennia, and felt the dread of a humble Roman Legionnaire shivering in the damp dark, hearing the dreadful wail of a Celtic Carnyx. Slowly, my eardrums, drowned in sound and starving of melody, at 5:45 or so grasped at the hints of melody that seemed to emrege from the horror. Was it real? I couldn't be sure. Was it harmonious? Like a very rotten curate's egg. But by then self respect had long vanished and I gobbled up the broken sequences as if they were manna from heaven.

@@morbiusAtKrell I'll have to read up more myself, but I'm not sure if the circuit burn outs were deliberate or not, but it happened often enough that Bebe recorded everything and then manipulated the tapes later. Please don't burn up your Subharmonicon, just the Bears little joke.

It said, Yes, it's true that Louis and Bebe Barron, the composers for "Forbidden Planet," faced significant challenges with their equipment. They used custom-built electronic circuits to create the unique sounds for the film. These circuits were often pushed to their limits, leading to many of them burning out or breaking down. As a result, some of their original equipment was indeed destroyed during the production process. This destruction was part of their experimental approach to electronic music, pushing the boundaries of what was technologically possible at the time.
