I recommend trying the Coiltek Goldhawk 10"x5" too. Being smaller it gets into tight spots. I have found many pieces of gold under one grain in size! The smallest being 0.18 about 3" below ground level.

The exposed ground of the tracks look good for relics or gold, if it's your regular haunt, John, I'm sure you've given them a going over, and through, as you do. On weather conditions, do approaching storms make the choice of GPX a no-go and it's okay for relics with the Manticore? We've not reinstalled the Vic Emergency app, if you have thoughts on that, or what weather info you look at and choices for fossicking strategies, no point going all pans and the creek on arrival is bone dry or roaring in flood. Do you have a bigger coil… say 14 x 9 or bigger ? You need to chuck it on then work the edges of the large areas of diggings where the ground is no deeper than 600 mm. So much potential there compared to the goldfields up here.
