Don’t need a lift for this for all the people saying they wish they had one. Thats just wishful thinking. Lifts aren’t expensive. A lot of y’all Mfs make the money I have free to spend after I pay all my bills and a lot of y’all don’t have as much bills as I do. So why the fuck can’t y’all afford shit hmmmm

used this video to fix my car, thanks!
it would be much better if you guys show us how to take out the transmission. I understand that you have put up a lot of effort to shoot the video, but you are barking on the wrong tree. You are MECHANICS, not actors. BTW, y
I forgot what I was talking about 😂😂😂😂
question, if you turn the rod wont it also move the other tire?
Uuuuhm that is not the original filter.. original filter is a black box which houses a filter compartment inside. It sucks the air through that hole in the frame on the carburator / clutch side of the moped.
That might be the way the new ones are this one is a 93 and that is what came with it
Thanks
Nice job. Wish I had a lift but that is probably a lot of us:)
I have a1956 fp20 24 .engine needs overhaul. It's almost just like it .mine is propane and has ROPS
That’s pretty cool what tire sizes he has the numbers are worn away on the tire and I need new ones bad
How to get that upper one out with the long ball joint the drag link end it hits that sway bar Unthread it from drag link to remove ?
Wow, a 2024. That baby is brand new!!
Im not sure what you mean
I bought that exact one today, Im curious if you found good sources of information or parts?
Not much at all I don’t even know the size of front tires it needs the numbers are worn away
What model fork lift did you end up getting
Allis Chalmers ST20-24PS Possibly 1959-1963 with the Wasukiroo 133 engine @@grandmasgarage3183
Where did you get the coil? I just started looking into fixing my grandpa's FTB20 propane lift and cannot find any info lol glad I found your video!! No Brakes or Rollover cage the pucker factor @ 10 rolling off the trailer!!
Believe it or not Oreillys had everything on the shelf we just have to google search for part numbers or compare pictures of stuff
Righteous! I think mine is 12v.. the dead battery was a Group 22f (12V) MAN I am excited the last time I drove this was almost 30 years ago when I was 5 and got it stuck in the mud lmao@@grandmasgarage3183
Hello from Canton OH!! I have a 2002 I need to do this on but am hesitant to do it by myself without a lift. Would it be possible or do I need to put it in a shop?
You could do it on the ground it’s just not going to be as easy I have removed subframes on jack stands to pull transmissions before it was easier you video on a lift
Hey, thanks so much, I just bought a 2002 Honda Accord with both door lock switches missing (well, the covers are missing). I bought two switches on eBay because, wouldn't you know, my local pick n' pull, somebody had already taken all of these off every single 6th Gen Accord 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Still, though, I'll replace it myself as well as new handles since the ones on mine are all dinged and cracked. This video was a twofer, I get to see how to do both! Appreciate you, sir.
What the name of that part?
Subframe
Cut and shave your UCAs is not recommended. It will definitely void the warranty of the UCA. Unless this is for looks it's going to break.
Waukesha, pronounced as wauk-a-shaw
I have a 40-24, I'm trying to figure out
What are you trying to figure out on it
NEED TO KNOW. THERE ARE 2 VACUUM COMPONENTS ON THE CARB. THEY ARE NOT WORKING. IF YOU REBUILT AND PUT THOSE BACK ON. THIS COULD ABSOLUTELY BE YOUR ISSUE. RUNS GOOD THEN IT DONT RUN ABOUT 50 MPH AND SPUTTER I AM FIXING TO START MY 85 BEAST I WILL POST AND I AM SURE I W ILL THAT THIS FIXED SAME ISSUE
Thanks for the input I’ll have to look in to it
You still do this work?
I do some but I have some new projects and need to get back to the videos
We dont come to hear bs music, either do away with music vids or do away with subscribers
Could you please measure the bottom to the bottom of the strut. I’m looking into getting some from Facebook but the guy doesn’t know if it’s for a 5 inch lift or a 7 inch lift
Sorry man I don’t have the truck anymore
Not the best video tbh. Not showing what they're doing close up, not mentioning bolt sizes. Makes the video not useful. But cool for s vlog or something I guess
Does anyone know if it's the same procedure on the 3.0L?
It’s probably same order and bolts in very similar but not exact. The only thing I would check for is upper motor and trans mounts so it can hang when you pull off the subframe.
@Grandmas Garage thanks for the reply I really appreciate it I figured it would be the similar I'm guessing with an engine hoist it would be safer.
Mine had anti-seize on that side too
Do you wanna fix mine in my 01 accord
Do you know where can i get a frame for a 2007 gmc sierra 2500hd classic extended cab long box?
We always check junk yards first but this one had to buy a new one from the dealer cause there were none available yet since it was such a new truck
How much would it cost I need my frame cleaned up an rust proof. 2017 crew cab
Why is it called DIY if you bought it??? Because you installed it??
Cause it was installed himself he didn’t pay anyone to do it
@@grandmasgarage3183 so, it was a DIY INSTALL, not a DIY tonneau cover...
Is there any tricks to the clamps? Working on one currently and the clamp is so tight I can't turn it with a channel lock
I have had some freeze up and heating it up always helped and penetrating oil too
Was a pain in the asss but, got her done. Thanks for the video!
Damn mine is legit the same but the back left tire is jam.. I stay in Los Ángeles. How much would you charge?
I only work on friends and family’s cars and it’s not my full time job either. And plus I’m in Ohio so that’s a pretty far drive for car work lol
How much would repair labor cost on this
Here I am done changed upper control arms tierods lower control arms ball joints trying to find the source hoping the rusted dub Frame wasn't it but I will say some of it still need to be changed anyway the old honda been thur alot think I'll sell it lol I can agree here in ohio is rough when comes to rust
I know the feeling cause now the subframe is fixed I could probably keep it for even longer but now I need brakes and the trans I think is starting to slip when do you just give up on it
Hey I need to replace my subframe, can you help me out with that?
I don’t like doing customer work really all the cars I work on I buy to sell or are mine to keep
These guys are wanna beeS. Music doesn't matter. USE JACK STANDS! PURE LUCK U DIDNT GET HURT. NO SKILL.
How many boxes did you have with your lift?
I feel like that's what I have to do with my car, I need to look it over but I hear a popping noise around the passenger's floor board. On a scale from 1-10 how smooth did this job go.? Thinking about tackling this project by myself.
I was a mechanic for a good few years and it was a solid 7 and that’s with a lift but thats because the rusty nuts and bolts. If your planning on doing it soak the nuts and bolts that you can get to with some kind of penetrating Lube.
Could you possibly go over the video and add verbal descriptions of what you're doing at each point--like what part you're taking off, what mm socket you're using and so on. It would help the viewer a lot.
I might start doing that on the newer videos but my computer won’t let me do a voice over and I have been pretty busy at my day job lately. I need to get back to posted videos I really enjoy it.
Great bud except for the music in background! Brother it was good but just that and a few more tips and your golden! Keep up the good work
Thanks for the nice comment and I wish I could pull the music off this video without having to upload the video again and loosing the views
I think honda corporate needs some 🔥 in their lives 🤔
Sorry coulda been helpful but the music .. way to fuckin loud and annoying..
Horrible music. Makes it hard to concentrate on the speaker. Sorry just being honest.
What is the time stamp I try and keep improving the videos if I can
Annoying
Helpful but music was so any
Is transmission removal for these fairly easy for a DIY? or a newbie
It’s not the worse one I have done but it is a front wheel drive car so they kinda suck. It’s not to bad one for a newbie and I had to do my first one too.
Honda is well aware of this defective subframe issue. AC drain drips right onto the subframe on the right side causing it to rust out. This is a common problem from 1998-2002. In 2003 Honda changed the AC drain location and no more subframe rusting on the right side!
Dang well now i know why mine is rusted out in the right/passenger side....i just figured an oil leak saved the left side from rusting outlol
So, for 4 years, they let this go on, knowing that a catastrophic event could occur, risking people's lives. Gotta love Honda. And of course they didn't do a recall, inspect for damage, and replace for free..
I have an 03 TL that has the same sub frame and ac drain as the 01. Rusted out in the same spot.
The guy must have been talking about a 4l60e when he talked about his truck loosing 3rd
I lost 3rd in the blue f350 you see in the other videos it’s got a 5r110 on a 6.0 diesel. The previous owner put a chip tuner on it and if you changed the setting when it was off it would change the trans pressures and they would slip. So it burnt up the clutches on third.
Turn down the music when you're talking!
Hey my man did u have to support the motor while taking that off
No if you leave the top mounts connected and make sure you have two top mounts it will just hang there no problem
@@grandmasgarage3183 thanks brother my wife said the same thing got to lookin and I have the same problem u have I'm in Hamilton ohio how long it take u to complete the job?
What about 03-07 Honda Accord?
Good job. I am planning to buy a chevrolet cruze Automatic, but i have lots of confusion in Automatic transmission life and common issues of 6T40 transmission. Could you help me to decide whether Automatic or manual.
I know the autos had a solenoid issue which is what fix this one but I’ve always preferred a manual
