How do you pay your tithe in Japan? Do you attend a Japanese church or do you just send it to your Nigerian church's bank account?
Hello. I don’t attend a Japanese church. Because of the time difference Nigerian church is usually in the night here so I can watch online. Also I transfer my tithe directly to my Nigerian church’s account. I use Revolut app.
@@msspreye oh! Thanks for the info
Looks like you had a happy Xmas!! Just a quick tip: never again mention on social media that you called in sick when you weren't in Japan. You could get fired for it. They take it too seriously...really. Enjoy the end of the year! 🥳
Ahhh God Abeg ooo 😂. Lesson learned. Thanks 🙏. Merry Christmas to you too 🎄
Hi , preye ..I love your hair. I’m in Tokyo Japan. We could hang out sometime. I’m Nigerian too
Sure. Send me a dm on Instagram
you look so pretty with the new hairr
Really?? Thank you ❤️
You're so pretty 🤩
Thank you 😊
Merry Christmas! Your hair looks really pretty btw
Thank you. It took at least 30 minutes and countless TH-cam videos 😂
It was like , girl you going that way too?😂but you rebuked the confidence out of it 😂...but seriously that was terrifying but interesting 🤣
😂😂😂😂. It was like girl you going my way?
Congratulations ❤🎉 I will be joining you people soon by God's grace. I can see my sis Amaka❤
Thank you ❤️. And you’re welcome. The more the merrier
You're welcome ❤️ Yes o the more we are the merrier!
Congratulations on winning!! That's so cool, I hope the plane ticket is also included lol🙏 For free Japanese resources, idk if you've tried Marugoto's online courses? They're self paced
Wait let me google the name. Thank you 🥰
There DO have natto sushi 🤣Maybe next time! Have fun at your Japanese language classes!
Blood of Jesus!!!! I’ll have to ask around. What do you mean natto sushi 😂😂
@@msspreye Did you see sushi with a thin layer of laver (nori) on the outside the last time you were there? In the middle, on top of the rice, they put minced fish, grated yums, okra, egg, and, of course, natto and many more... This type of sushi is called gunkan-sushi. Oh, BTW, you don't put soy sauce ON the sushi, you put it in a small dish they have for it and you DIP the sushi in it 😁I can't tell you if it tastes different, but you know how the Japanese are about their rules 😂
@ I will put the soy sauce exactly how I want to put it 😂😂😂. Make nobody stress me Abeg
I think you should give yourself grace Just six months? Please give yourself grace and sometime
I’ll try. Thank you 😊
See the temperature in Japan this year eh na madness, I am so scared for going back to Japan for few days coz now am living in the country that can't be less than 20 for the lowest point now at midnight its still 27 lol I don't even have good jacket and my friends and my mom are telling me already its around 5 degrees in Japan there chai
Omo!!!! The cold is actually crazy. It’s 5 degrees this morning 😂. And I heard it gets colder in February
joining you on the channel
🥰
Glad to hear some of the tips worked 😊One more for you: I would not recommend using a plastic mug and cover to warm up tea or drink hot tea from. You'll be ingesting a lot of microplastics... They also have ceramic mugs with lids at the 100 store, I think. You're right about growing your own food. If you have space on your veranda or around the house/ apartment, definitely a good idea. Make sure they allow it, though. Those small pots you got could be great for growing herbs like rosemary, parsley, mint, etc. You can find seedlings at almost any home depot and grow them inside your room or kitchen. I live in a rural area where many people grow at least some things in their garden. I do too. What I love about that is that your neighbors will start bringing over veggies and fruit when they have too much of something. Then you do the same if you can. Stay warm! 👋
Ewwwee!!!! Microplastics? Blood of Jesus!!!! Guess no tea for me then 😂. I’ve tried growing stuffs before but they died. Do you have ideas for small crops that don’t need too much space and can survive this winter?
@@msspreye Hmm, other than herbs? Radishes grow well this season and quite fast too (about 20 days after planting the seeds). Great in salads and you can use the green leaves too in soups or stews. If you had bigger pots, I would recommend broccoli or cauliflower. They grow quite big but are not fussy at all. Best idea is to look over a fence in your neighborhood and see what everyone else is growing 🙂 Ah, lettuce and other leafy vegetables! They might need some cover, though... Spy on your neighbors! 😉Or ask them and make some friends in the process. Older people in Japan are quite friendly, in my experience.
@ older people are the best. I can’t risk big pots cause it’s a shared house so small pots only with things that won’t need extra drama
Heat tech saved me when I was in Japan around Thanksgiving. I'm an island girl so I was shivering my butt off over there. 😂
😂😂 my country is hot so I understand what you mean. this experience is crazy. Heat tech is a life saver.
I love your Sunday vlogs

Finally, a video to make my Sunday more chill 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
Really???? Oooo My God!!! Thank you for watching. I’m happy you enjoy the videos 😭😭.
I really do not understand this, please can you brrak your salary down? You stay in a shared apartment, you dont pay taxes but your salary is still not enough and you dont have savings, how? Please break down cos im about making this journey
Don’t be afraid. I just have a fancy lifestyle 😂😂. Also it depends on your salary. If you’re earning ¥250k and above then you’re good.
🤣I haven't experienced any of the things you mentioned, but have heard about several of them. For instance, similar to your last point, I drive here and was told that for whatever reason, if you hit the car before you, you are 100% to blame. Even if that car suddenly brakes after going 50 kph. So there used to be these gangs that did just that. Brake suddenly in front of you, make you hit them and then ask for huge amounts of money for repairs and other damages...I don't know if that still happens, but I'm still scared it might. My first culture shock in Japan was the buses. First, because you don't need to buy a ticket in advance and validate it, which means there are no random controls and huge penalties if you didn't manage to buy a ticket before getting on. And also because the bus drivers speak too much, I thought. Now they have recorded messages, but if you get on local buses, the drivers still say things like 'Turning left! Hold on to something!' or 'Stopping at the light now' 😂 I thought is made no sense...
😂😂😂 I love this country. I discover new things everyday. But year whoever causes damage pays
Imagine ridding tricycles then.......Until you realize how practical, no assurance needed, obviously no need for gas, allowed in downtown areas where cars are less and less allowed nowadays in growing a list of countries unless you pay a tax for that, how high tech they are with prices starting at 2000 euros and way beyond for valid reasons. Yeah, f cars, I am buying one of those too soon.
😂😂 the stress to own a car in Japan is so stressful plus the parking fees are ridiculous. I’m team bicycle now
Nice video Can you do a video of shopping in Japan for ¥25000
Ok. Grocery shopping or clothes shopping?
The glow on your face when you said you were getting your salary 😂
My love money please 😂
Japan isn't a utopia but its ideal.
also you are so gorgeous

Hello
Hi
But also you're being too hard on yourself! You were literally able to read the different boba flavors last time we hung out, you're doing soo good! Loved this sit down
Thank you 🙏. I’m trying my best.
I'm an ALT with JET so I thankfully have a good salary, but obviously JET is only 5 years. Living in Japan on a dispatch salary and no partner to split expenses with can be tough if you're living somewhere where rent is high. It's the sort of job you really want to skill-up out of.
Skilling up is so important.
Lol it’s a struggle being here for real! Being alone in a foreign country is not for sissies!
Wait until you meet the people screaming go back to your country 😂😂
@ it’s sometimes a blessing not understanding Japanese 😅
I haven’t finished the video yet, so maybe you address this, but it might be worth sitting down and doing an actual budget if you’re not already. And try to account for taxes. I’ve seen other videos from people in their 2nd or 3rd year, and they all say it was an issue when tax time came around if they hadn’t budgeted. Put aside savings, tax and rent money first. Then do the rest. Might help?
Thanks. I’m really trying to fix my finances
About learning Japanese you can watch different youtube videos with headings like what I wish I knew before studying Japanese and downloading and trying out different apps till you find a learning method that suits you
Those people are liars 😂😂. Anime doesn’t work cause they sound like cartoons. But I’ll keep trying
20:51 Me too. I really am thinking of just going ahead and buying an Aarke Carbonator and make my own "blend" of sodas.
Is that possible? This is my first time hearing about this
@@msspreyeYep you definitly can !
How dod u learn to ride a bicycle? I want to learn too !!
Here's a saving tip I actually learned in Japan -- you open another bank account, for savings only, and the day you receive your salary, the first thing you do is deposit a fixed sum there. Anything is fine and it should be something you could survive without with a little effort, like 5,000 yen or 10,000. You put it there and forget about it, then make do with the rest as if you never had it 🤐It's about creating a habit, more than anything. As for starting a business, it might take a while, but it's definitely possible. I recently saw a video about a man from Trinidad who is apparently the first black man to grow grapes in Japan (Yamanashi, I think). It was quite inspiring. Also, I was wondering about your transportation cost. It sounds like a lot of money. I hope your company reimburses you. In any case, check and see if getting on or off the train at a different station and walking or biking from there saves you anything on that train pass. Sometimes one station makes a huge difference in price. Ganbatte!! 🥳
God bless you for this reply. As for opening a separate account I can only do that from next month because banks claim I need to be in Japan for at least 6 months before opening an account for me. The present one I have was such trouble to open. For transport I do monthly commuter pass. I’m figuring everything out everyday. I really appreciate this reply❤️. Thank you so much 🙏
Okay Duolingo🥹🤣 I understood that effortlessly “Everyday I study Japanese but I don’t understand” haha yes same here!
