At least you have a car, I have to travel by public transit and have limited options of where i can go and im about to age out of fc soon and have no where to go and I have to struggle to find a room to stay at until my housing is available. My account is not that big , my paychecks have not been coming in to well and my manager isn’t given me the hours i need to work. I’m worried about how I’m going to survive in this world without working full-time and getting the benefits i need. I’m still trying to get myself out of the situation hopefully for the better but only time will tell I truly understand your pain and hope that things get better.

Happy 25th! I went to an HBCU and never "attended" homecoming mostly because it felt like there were homecoming activities weeks in advance and the entirety of the week of the homecoming game and big show, so to speak. So I was able to attend and observe the lead up events? Where I went the homecoming football game was the main event and the big show is where they had like step shows and Greek activities and the crowning of the homecoming queen (not necessarily in that order)... I never rely attended that. Homecoming is just an (fun) excuse to hangout with your friends and for alumni to return and celebrate the alma mater. It's a big party.

You are absolutely right! If your into the Arts its alot to do here. Many people choose the negativity and don't realize when they have it good. It's really a lucrative wealthy area. You can make something of yourself. I am born & raise here. I graduated from Coppin State University & University of Baltimore. Don't let that hood stuff fool you. The white elites love it here. This is a get money city & know people making 12 figures + & living luxurious here. Please note I am not doing bad at all. Stay focused & watch your company. You will be good. Yes, our metro system is excellent.

Moved here, Toronto, 8 years now, and I have to agree with most of what you said. I was shocked to see Houston don't have a good public transportation system. The roads are overcrowded with poor driving habits. This is my biggest problem with the city. I agree. I have been trying to find a Caribbean community, but unfortunately, I am unable to.

Lived in Baltimore and now live in Frederick MD. Life is definitely more expensive now than ever so to some degree it may not be anything you are doing but at the same time I just have so many questions to wonder what else can it be? I don’t doubt your doing what you can because I’m like that as well, but I guess the difference is I had a room mate (barely a friend) that I rented a place with because living on my own was going to be too painful. But I hope you figure this out.
