Glad I watched this video on not what to buy. Not a good aftermarket part if you have to cut the frame and use two less mounting bolts. They made the front bumper weaker not stronger for using a winch.

Jacking cars back in the day was pretty easy, just a couple wires and you're driving down the road, no keys needed.

It’s awesome up there! Been going camping in jawbone kelso valley area for years now. I have a question for you.. how was the rd going from kelso valley to that camp spot .. could I make it easy with a 4x4 Silverado? Also when you got stuck in the snow .. was that past where jawbone canyon rd meets piute mountain rd ?

I know your pain. I installed mine in my driveway as well. Also had a difficult time with the front bump stops. If I remember correctly, I bought one of those Tite Reach ratchet extensions (mostly so I could put the exact amount of torque specified). In any event, I had to use needle nose pliers shoved into the little holes just below the top of the bump stop to hold it while tightening. Had to have a second set of hands; it was silly. I like your thought on the strap wrench

I’m feeling it. Always liked adopting some of the vintage cues on newer rides.

Someone took my dads from the garage when we were moving g and somewhat between houses. A nice solid jack that was really unfortunate to have taken. Only thing taken we could figure. Odd thing to take and leave the rest of the stuff we had.
