Plenty of us do call it Cali. I am from Los Angeles, Hollywood area.
Crazy how low the payment is with 2021 interest rates
Very helpful video as someone visiting SB, thanks!
You have forgotten the most important consideration: many families and individuals can't afford a single-family house. Should they not buy and pay rent forever? NO! Get a condo or a townhome and build equity.
How amazing! I hope you took lots of notes... it's so easy to forget details. I appreciate all of your recommendations, and I am so happy you had such a successful and satisfying experience!
Love it!
Great video! Thanks for sharing. :)
If you read Dr. Murphy's 1965 book The Miracle Power of Your Mind you will instantly see where JD got his ideas - including the concept of the "the mind movie" As a judge of 22 years - 18 years on a special tribunal dealing with car accidents I recognized JD as being a phoney almost instantly when I saw his different descriptions of his accident . In some videos it is a truck that hit him, in others in detail he explains how an elderly woman in her van hit him and dragged him. . His description of how the accident happened was also bizarre it made no sense at all. I challenged this in a comment on a JD youTube and was provided with a yellow newspaper article (maybe 15 years old) that he had been in a car accident as proof of his miraculous healing. Interesting his different descriptions of his accident on TH-cam suddenly all disappeared. He leaves you to believe he has done graduate work in neuroscience. In reality he was a chiropractor and a practitioner of hypnosis which he uses very effectively in his teaching and meditations. This is his genius. From my perspective I can well imagine why the Paris government stopped his retreat. Any thinking person can instantly see how he manipulates vulnerable people for money. At a vulnerable time in my life I subscribed to Dispenza's once a month Q &A for $9.95. I was shocked and appalled how he spent in an hour Q & A sometimes a half an hour talking about miraculous cures and promoting his retreats. I felt suckered into paying him to listen to his marketing of his retreats. While Dispenza constantly talks about these miraculous instantaneous cures from Parkinson's, MS , paralysis etc., He has NEVER revisited all these numerous miraculous cures 5 years or even 3 years later to see if the cure still remains. When I realized that Dispenza uses hypnosis techniques that I read in Dr. Murphy's book I found it difficult to practice the meditations I had purchased . A part of. me wanted to believe him but the evidence of his marketing manipulation kept turning. me off. In 2018 I began practicing qigong with Lee Holden in Santa Cruz. On 3 visits totalling 6 months costing me in total a little more than it would cost for a Dispenza 5 day retreat. What could be considered a miracle as I practiced my daily qigong and did acupuncture, a partial tumour left on my spinal cord as being too dangerous to remove was to the complete surprise of my neurosurgeon (and also myself who did not think it was possible) the tumor was gone in 6 months. As a student of Lee Holden (www.holdenqigong.com) I will challenge you to take a peak and for NO credit card get two free weeks of 3 zoom classes a week and discover what a credible honest caring person is who does not exploit vulnerability for money. Lee not only being a Master of qigong but a doctor of Chinese Medicine starts each live zoom class with a 20 minute Q & A - answering peoples health questions. One month of 3 times a week of zoom classes costs only $39. If. you cannot afford that he is FREE on TH-cam. When Lee started teaching he had only one goal and that was to bring the health benefits of qigong to th West. - Hence his classes workshop and courses are very affordable. The benefits are enormous and lasting.
you forgot about our polo club, one of the first polo fields in the country, many players come from argentina to play here.
Pathetic.
Grew up in Goleta and my dad still lives there. Some of your b roll is even from his neighborhood. You get a lot wrong in this video and fail to mention some serious issues with the area. Namely the economy. Goletaa has jobs, but if you want to buy a home you will work at only a handful of places. Lockeed, rtx, Yardi, appfolio, deckers, the UC, maybe cottage. If you are not an engineer or healthcare professional you will not make enough. Even if you are an engineer you won't make enough! The positions in the area do not pay a big city wage but homes are big city prices. It's a fundamentally broken place. I have friends who still live there that are mid level engineers and they live with housemates. It is a fundamentally broken place. You mentioned that there is new development and that was a con. The real con is the nimbys who stifle development for the sake of increasing their own property values. The city needs more density and housing supply. It's not being built in the natural area. It's being infilled in areas that can use the density. Goleta is also horribly car dependent. They have built some better bike lanes but you will need a car for most trips. It has no nightlife. None. There are a handful of bars that close around 11:30. You also sound like a washed up ucsb frat bro only knowing sands and devereux.
Carpinteria is also changing rapidly just like Santa Babylon. Overdeveloped areas that do not fit the neighborhoods. It is all about the money now, greedy developers and no common sense. 👎👎👎
Small towns can lead to small minded people who love to gossip! 👎👎👎
I lived on the Mesa from 1965-1973, 2020 Edgewater Wy. There was a lot of open space to climb down the cliffs We used to go to Hendrys all the time, back then it was a small snack shack, we would get tortilla strips with guacamole

Good on ya, happy for you! Im thinking of doing it myself. Thank you for sharing!
You should! I’m going first week in December in the UK! I’m really looking forward to it and little bit nervous as well. 😅
I never felt this way…I don’t get any of this. Omg…. I want to live in a fancy mental hospital this is lame
The fish & chips from On the Alley looks dope!
I disagree about In-N-Out being overrated. After all these years, it's still amazing. There's a reason for the long lines all day long, not just at lunch or dinner and I don't think they like smelling exhaust fumes. Anyway, great videos on Santa Barbara and Carpinteria. Keep them coming!
Is there any good barbeque restaurants in Santa Barbara?
You have only got to be a Jillionaire to live in Montecito…
Double the price for Australians & still going!
Why can’t people just be grateful to be alive, healthy, and cared for?

Thanks for sharing. I am going to the 10 day retreat in Cancun in December. I am a bit apprehensive as I am very active & never meditate, although now practicing in bed! 😳. Ok but better than not practicing
@dapawap Oh !! What a coincidence!!! I am planning on going as well ❤ I'm on the waiting list!! Funny that I still don't have the money for the tickets, for me and my husband ,but meditating with a clear intention and an elevated emotion 😊, so the vision of the future becomes my reality 🎉🎉🎉✨✨✨ I hope we meet there😍😍😍
What a great video! Very clear and detailed.
thank you! I'm hoping to get a scholarship for it and go
Suggestions, like you, Two to head out to the old ranch and sample some cow shit and let us know
Chubbies is on the list lets go used to go there all the time as a kid!

What’s the top 5 REAL “People Reps” in Santa Barbara?
So curious, how have your behavior patterns changed since you did the program?
Where’s Finney’s
Chubbies isn’t even on state! It’s on de La vina
Great place but there's an annoying smell of cannabis
Best Burger in Santa Barbara, The Habit!
Dune coffee is best.... Thank you...
I’d second Dune also, but handlebar is pretty close!

Going to my first retreat in August, I am 'aware' of Joe's work. Kudos for your content. Peace out.
No one mentions the cost of these retreats.
It varies but the weeklong is often around 2500 $. Then you have accommodation etc.
First burger looks sad
A. It moves too fast, and B. It needs narration... C. Farmers Market? Which one? Tues.? Sat.? The one in Montecito? 🤷
Nice clickbait thumbnail. 🤮
This was really helpful Thankyou ❤
I went to school with the granddaughter of the founder of hoperanch...I remember we took a school field trip to her house...I miss this place I think I wanna move back
I lived in Santa Barbara and I tried all of these bakeries. Renaults is the best 😊
