I thought this video was about the spring compressor. WRONG!! All this video is about is this clown showing off his car. Honestly, yes the car is nice. But who gives a shit? Save that for a different video. I wanted to see how well this style compressor worked, but all he did was show the compressor laying on the ground. If I want to see that, Ill go outside and throw mine on the floor and look at it. Some peoples kids!!! Oh, and by the way, for all the people who would rather see how this compressor works, look for a video by OEM TOOLS. They actually show this exact compressor in action, and dont spend 8 minutes bragging about the car
I used the same tool. First time. No instructions. I did get it centered, got it all in. Had a lot of trouble getting center pin out. Unscrewed it from block w/ hook arms. Got the hook arms out through the side of the spring. Used two pry bars to get the 19mm hEad of the center screw of the compressor to pop out the edge of the spring. (Twenty minutes trying to make that happen btw) Ended up I underneath using a spot point of iron and hammer to slowly hammer that center pin up and out the top side gap of the spring. I thought about those holes to at the top and bottom. My 03 WJ 4x2 4.0 6cyl doesn’t have those lower holes to come out through. That would have been awesome! Thanks!
Also you said it was hard to get the hook out when you was done? What is so hard about it. unscrew it all the way and open the hook up and it falls right out the bottom. I have a 64 Impala with the exact same A arms. There is all kinds of room to get it out
Would have been nice to show the tool in the spring. you can put the fork in two different ways... Also you will have 4 neutral gears with that 700r4 soon after bolting it to a 454. not a good tranny to use with that engine unless youre driving like an old ass man. You need a 4L80
