Let me know what you thought about it!
Is buying one of those with v6 and 130k miles for 1800 a good deal?
This is an exl, the ex comes with gray, beige or black cloth seats only
Ex also doesnt have the dual zone climate or the leather wrapped steering wheel. I believe it doesn't have the auto dim mirror either
I blew up my suspension on this car being a dickhead I’m only at 54k on the 2012 ex-l v6 and the car is just crabbing right now 2 mechanics said nothings wrong but this thing is about to snap at any moment 😭
¿Si salen buenos?, tengo pensado vender mi sentra 2010 por uno altima coupe
You said you wouldn''t recommend at the end and that there are better options. Can you suggest some better options in this class/price range with Honda's reliabiility please?
I have a 2010 with the 3.5 but as a sedan. Bought it at 92k miles now she’s at 119k. Had no problems, just had to change the battery. You should find a sedan version loaded with the tech features if possible. These things handle great and mine has been great to me!
2012 havk on Deanna souders Rensselaer in souders llc face book
The irrigation district? I think he nearly irrigated his pants when he almost met his maker driving through that bend in the road. 😅
I nearly irrigated my pants laughing at this. LOL!! 🤣🤣🤪😫🍷🍷
The 3.5 are arguably more reliable and the 4 speed transmission’s long gears allowed for excellent mpg compared to similar options from different manufacturers.
Wait did i just see oil pressure light lit :'v
This makes me want to buy a roller and put my engine in it, my speed is falling apart from inside, the last owner aggressively ripped all the panels off and everything creeks
I have an SE and it handles like a champ around sharp turns. Super fun to drive on windy roads.
got a 2012 honda accord 2.4l for 7000 at 73k miles
Im so glad I have the coupe and not the 4-door, the coupe version is getting rare and going up a bit in value. What a disgrace that honda killed all their two door cars.
The 2010 EX-L owned by my sister has bluetooth. I wonder why yours does not
1:47 that's literally what I said to the salesman lol. I just got a clean 2010 coupe 3.5 with 73k miles on it last friday, hoping the cvt lasts. I also don't rev it past 3k and it still goes faster then my 99 camry.
hell yea man. I've heard nothing but bad things about the early cvts, but i mean this car has lasted over 260k miles lol. Theyre pretty fast too, 270 hp is no slouch for sure
This car/engine was essentially the test platform for what became the 2.0 ecoboost and 2.3 ecoboost. This engine is loaded with problems that were all revised in the ST and RS/Mustangs. If you buy one of these in 2024 and it's ever had any modifications or has over 75k miles, you can reasonably expect to need to rebuild the engine soon. If you're looking around for that cheap hot hatch that's fairly dependable and won't require you to dump a ton of money into, this isn't it. The Focus ST is easily twice as reliable. But if you do have money to waste on this car, it's untamed, not electronically suppressed tendencies are a much more fun experience. Just be ready to spend a lot of money and time working on it.
No sure how reliable the ecoboosts are. I know the 1.6 ecoboosts are not reliable because they need good maintenance and are not tolerant to bad maintenance. Same with the 2.3 in the mazda. It suffers from some oil starvation problems and the vvt commonly goes bad. As well as turbo seals. But if you well maintain your car it will be reliable. From my knowledge the engine in this car is far from extremely unreliable, but is also far from extremely reliable.
@@FrankShaft I was referring to the super widely used 2.0 ecoboost in the ST. That engine is in a massive number of vehicles worldwide and has a very low failure rate. It's a closed deck design and totally solid. It suffered from none of those issues you are talking about there. Beating all the factory OE short comings is what you have to do yourself if you want an MZR 2.3 to survive. Manage PCV well, address the imbalance in the intake manifold if you're running more boost, change oil every 3k miles (not 5), change plugs often, upgrade your turbo drain and supply lines, and pay attention to the little things that can cause knock and just don't run it hard if that's going on. That's what can help this engine live, but at the end of the day neither it or the Ecoboost 2.0 is gonna have that reliability factor like a Honda or Toyota engine. Ford saw all those problems I just mentioned on the MZR and did address them with the Ecoboost 2.0.
@@christopherpauley8174 yea don't this as a first car for your kid for sure. I change the oil every 3000, but ill keep in mind your comment. Ill look into the turbo lines and definitely get a catch can for the pcv
@@FrankShaft Don't forget to clean the EGR system while you are in there. The valve and the tube.
@@christopherpauley8174 For sure. I've heard of people deleting them, but I haven't seen much benefits. A clogged egr can affect the turbo also
looks like AZ, rocks instead of grass..
You would be correct lol, but where are my other videos filmed? 🧐
I have one, they're great cars.
Does it feel so much different than the 2.5?
Uncle had three of these as company cars. I liked them all. The 6 speed in the later, 2012-2013 models were better than the 4 speed in the 2006-2011 models.
They're very comfortable to drive in and decent power in the lowest engine option
Cousins had 1994-1997, so 5th gen, Friends mom had a 2000, and grandparents had a 1998, both of the 6th gen. I've known people with the 2003-2007, 7th gen. And I know plenty with the 8th gen, like you show here. That is an EX-L, EX had cloth. There was LX, LX-P, which was an LX with I believe a power drivers seat an alloy wheels. EX had the cloth and sunroof, EX-L had leather. There was an SE in I think 2012, EX-L no sunroof. Then for the coupe you had LX-S with the EX motor, EX, EX-L and for both sedan and coupe, V6. I think I'd rather have a 2006-2012 Ford Fusion over this.
Purely looks based I'd rather have the accord in this video, but I don't know anything about the fusion and its features lol. Would love to research and review one though
Best car - I have 2008 ❤
I hope that's not someones car 😂😂😅
Why?
@@SumTingWong1482 what kinda car you got let him drive it like that
Sometimes I’m glad I don’t have boys. This is one. But very few times. LOL! Push it a lil harder son. lol!!!!!
normal mazda 3 from same year says zoom zoom on the display
but does it have a zoom zoom license plate 😎
I just watched the speed3 video and first off damn I want it I’m looking at a few of them but they are few and far between over here in nc but your video was great man keep it up
hell yea man, either one is a great choice. are you pretty sold on the speed3?
Just went today to look at a 2008 speed 3 I think it’s the one I’m gonna sit on it for a week or so then head back down
@@grant1497 I dont know much about the 1st gens, but I know they changed the timing chain a little. The 1st gens timing chain i think the vvt is more unreliable. Theyre sweet tho Id love to drive one one day
Man come to nc your more then welcome if you can ever make it out here
Hey man great video Can you let me know what is your setup for shooting this? (Camera and mic)
Appreciate that bro. My setup is very simple I just use a go pro hero 10 with a hat mount to do pov. I use the go pro mic aswell. I shoot 1440p 240hz, my audio isnt the best so in the future ill get a binural microphone to boost quality. th-cam.com/video/9EEWH6zf46M/w-d-xo.html - This video is the ideal set up
@FrankShaft Fantastic! Thank you for answering thoroughly, my friend. I'm really like this format of videos (like yours and The Topher) and I've always had a thing for cars so I think I will start my own channel very soon.
@@abdullahhassan2127 heck yea man, comment under a video when u do make a video ill for sure watch it!
I had this car I HATED IT but they are reliable
lol whyd you hate it
You constantly pushing that sun visor up is the definition of insanity.
so glad i didnt own that car lol
A back up camera or reverse sensor sound signal should be on these. I have an EX-L V6 and it doesn't have either of those, while cars like a Prius had that as early as 2006-2008. Ridiculous.
Thats surprising that old of a prius has parking sensor. But I agree for the time period it is lacking to say the least I mean my mazdaspeed3 from 2011 was similar in price, but I have auto wipers, navigation, and bluetooth. The accords are really well known for their reliability though
balls
hold the shaft
Bluetooth is equipped in all the EX-L 8th gens. They just don’t stream music from your device. It only connects for phone calls. I own a 2011 Ex-l 6-6 coupe so….
I was getting that but I heard from other people it depends on what device u have
aka reddit lol
I think this is true for the 2010-2012 models (correct me if I'm wrong). I have a 2009 EX-L i4 Coupe with no Bluetooth option for context. (In North America context)
I just upgraded to an android head unit to my 2012
Its very basic, but reliable af.
How aren’t you famous man your content is amazing new sub, btw so fluent keep it up one day you will rise
dude what I appreciate that a lot, I'm figuring out how I want my format to be so they'll be much better in the future!
Honestly
Just turned 18 few months ago. Bought a 2008 3LT impala couple weeks ago. Very first car paid cash on my own
its a good car and really comfortable, how much did u get it for?
@@FrankShaft paid $2,700 came with 145k miles
It has Bluetooth look at the wheel
You're right, its really finicky getting it to work with audio and not just calls but it does work!!!
That’s an exl
You're also right, i assumed it was EX since it doesnt have memory seats or the navigation. But theres 2 different exl trims!
wonder why the oil light came on @ 0:10
thats true lol i didnt even notice
4:40 No, main competitors are: Accord Coupe, Scion TC. The sedan goes against mid-size FWD family sedans, like: Camry, Accord, Sonata, Malibu, Fusion, etc…
I have the LX 2012 it is my first ever car bought it at 46,000 miles I know I’ll have this bad boy for a while I drive 70 miles a day so it gets from A to B no problem little over a year I put 15k miles. I Installed a dash cam added some subs just to make the best of what I got . Im very happy with it it’ll be good for another 10+ years
HES BAAACKK
yessirrrrr its only the beginning
Actually the Flaps behind the grill are to slow the car down for when they want to turn base and final.
What?? I dont understand what you mean by base and final
fantastic video bro bro
Mines still rolling with 177,000 on her with no issues!
Picked up a 2010 MS3 couple days ago, used, think it needs new spark plugs, maybe new ignition coil packs (stutters when using the turbo, but runs good when driving normally. no knocks, no smells, nothing). Overall, so far I'm loving it.
Same and I love it so much
Lmao same shit with me . Did you figure out what it was ?
@@bottom_lizard192 Needed new spark plugs, as all 4 of them had heavy carbon deposits. two of them had the outer housing split wide open, the remaining other two had visible cracking on the housing. And the GDI needed to be cleaned/serviced. What a night and day difference afterwards.
Bro try getting a stage 1 tune and having the limiter for first and second removed. The car comes alive and is a lot quicker!
yea I'm going to get a blowoff valve and start modding somewhat soon like a downpipe, intake, and tune
I have a 2012 honda accord its the best
The price of used Hondas is 'steeper' than most BECAUSE of the reliability you mentioned - the extra price you spend on a Honda will just be spent on repair bills on any other brand within a years' time is the way I've always looked at it 🤷
I just bought a 2009, 40th anniversary model here in Australia. It has some bonus specs over the base model such as Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and fog lights. I do long commutes in it and it is perfect for that.👍
dang bluetooth and parking sensors for 2009 is really nice
Finally more new videos on the 8th generation Accord, amazing video and editing!
Thanks man I appreciate it!
